Chicago Sharks 21.11.137 defeated Colorado Avalanche 17.8.110
(Real: 2052 vs 1651)

Comprehensive and clinical, the Sharks stepped up to show that they belong in the top six with a big percentage boosting win on the back of a 176 as captain, with help from a trio of additional 130+ scorers to shatter the 2k-barrier. Colorado weren't bad by any means, but were never going to get this job done.

Las Vegas Sinners 21.10.136 defeated Wisconsin Cockerels 20.7.127
(Real: 2039 vs 1902)

The Sinners also crack the 2000 for the round, and decisively win this Grand Final rematch - and possibly preview? Having your first two mids score 189 and 155 will do that for you, plus a 144 as captain to make up for Sydney losing a game which will never help the Sinners. Touk added 150 of his own as VC as the Cocks made a respectable score, but were about a Chad Warner short.

Houston Bombers 20.7.127 defeated New Brooklyn Hawks 19.9.123
(Real: 1904 vs 1849)

So the Hawks late-season revival lasted all of one week, as they are heartbroken by a strong Houston performance lead by two of the Jacks (Sinclair and Sh,it), and with room to improve as they suffered a trio of sub-60 scores (Lachie Hunter sucks) and Heeney was restricted by the great Jake Kelly.

Carolina Panthers 18.8.116 lost to San Francisco Grizzlies 18.9.117
(Real: 1750 vs 1761)

Now this will shake up the finals race! Carolina will join Chicago and Houston in the 8-7 club with what has to be a disappointing loss, as they suffered an Aliir 50 and Amon 64 in the last match of the round to fall agonisingly short, despite Ryan and Rozee playing well - but they were matched by the heroic Ethan Hughes who went from 7 disposals and a mark at half time to 24 and 6 to snatch the game when it mattered after Saad, Rankine, and McCarthy set the stage for the Grizzlies. The Kelly gang at C and VC were huge, but nobody else topped 110 and Dusty's injury probably proved the difference in the end.

Boston Terriers 18.8.116 lost to Ottawa Otters 18.10.118
(Real: 1746 vs 1772)

Another big upset, as the Terriers choke horrendously at their chance to take outright top spot - and it was all Aaron Hall's fault! Bet Ottawa were injury cheering that one, as his 18 - 135 points less than he managed last week - really hurt, but so did having nobody score over 100 outside of the midfield and sub, and they only managed a competitive score thanks to a midfield with a 135x2, 130x1.5, 124, and 150. Ottawa had 7 tons and were dragged home by Charlie Dixon's heroic last quarter to get to 96, and of course were lead superbly by captain Bailey Dale.

Quito Quetzals 18.7.115 defeated Anaheim Mighty Ducks 17.7.109
(Real: 1730 vs 1638)

Call it hopium, but I was a believer in Anaheim right up until counting up the scores, where Quito narrowly avoided joining their top-three counterparts in losing - okay it was still almost 100sc, but considering Anaheim lost by almost 650sc last round it was close! Obviously Zach Merrett's 140x2 was a driving factor, as was Dangerfield's return, but they had their usual 5 sub-50 scores, with Ben McKay's treatment forcing kb to join the David Noble-haters club.
