Title: 2021/2022 Trade Confirmation Thread
Post by: Ringo on August 20, 2021, 09:43:42 AM
Re - Iterating trading rules here:

5.1 Trading between teams is allowed as long as trades are determined to be reasonably fair between both parties.

5.2 Trades must be listed in this Trading Thread in the following format:

X Team receives: Player A

Y Team receives: Player B

Reason: Justification for why the trade has been made

The trade must be then confirmed by the other party in the trade, and they must list their reasons also

5.3 Trades will either Passed or Rejected by the league administrator.  The administrator will take into consideration the short and long term impacts to both teams, to ensure the trade does not damage a team's future chances of being competitive.

5.4.a  Administration will rule on all trades and should 5 coaches object to the decision of Adminstrator then trade will be sent to a vote of all coaches. Coaches will have 5 days to object to decision.

5.6 Trades for Trade Period 1 will be on an unlimited basis and can include Draft Picks. For trade period 2 trades are on a one for one basis.

5.7 There will be two trade periods per season, one before the drafts, and one after. Teams are entitled to 20 Player movements over the 2 trade periods.

5.8 A player movement is defined as moving a player from one team to another. Draft picks or players you have received as part of a trade can be on traded but will not count as a movement.

Kindly note that this thread is for agreed trades only. Discussions to take place in the 2021 trade discussion thread

Trade Period 1 will open 2nd September and  close on Tuesday 23rd Novemberprior to National Draft commencing November 26th

Trade etiquette -  Ensure you have advised any other interested parties that you have completed trade prior to posting. If this not done please advise and I will rule even to the extent of negating trade.

Trade period 2  will open at conclusion of drafts and close on dates to be advised,

Thread locked until trade period open

Time to kick things off!

Oxford Lions give: Tom Jonas + NAT 45 + NAT 61
Grope Lane Giants give: Lincoln McCarthy + NAT 33

Reasoning: Jonas is a starting caliber defender, but I have plenty of defenders and not enough quality forwards. Linc is a borderline starter/depth for Grope Lane, and will be for me as well, but I need another solid option up front, as injuries really exposed my forward line this year, whilst Grope Lane had a similar situation in their defence. Pick swap balances the trade out.

Also, brisbane bias :-*

CoachStig to confirm.

Confirmed. I feel this fulfills some of the needs of both myself and SL with line deficiencies.

Confirmed

Need some mid depth and happy to give up N22 for a player averaging 162 and 176 for last 5. Doubt over Dunstan also an issue for me.

As this trade involves both Admins if there is any objections please advise and then we may put to vote.

I get a decent pick and i like Rantall to help with the rebuild, Hawka gets a starting mid and solid forward to help with another flag push. Hawka to confirm.

Needed some more scoring in mids and fwds and think these players fit in with my current plans

Grope Lane Trade: Adam Treloar
Liverpool Trade: Jack Bowes + N21

Reason: I am needing to move midfielders to shore up my defense for 2022. Treloar had a somewhat down year in 2021 and I feel Bowes will be a mainstay in GL's defence going forward. Second round pick balances out the trade.

Nige to confirm.

Adam Treloar is coming home!  8)

But yeah, I know what Treloar is capable of and I need the extra top line mid to stabilise a mostly young midfield. Also my defence is pretty set with Hind, Stack and Rioli all being defenders in 2022.

Confirmed.

Oxford Lions give: Zac Guthrie + Elliott Himmelberg + NAT 33
Swansea Breakers give: Shai Bolton + NAT 38

Reasoning: Targeted Bolton to further bolster my forward line, and although he was inconsistent this year he's still young and at his best has already proven himself as a quality starting caliber forward. Although I'm a big fan of Zuthrie and firmly believe he will breakout next year, Ringo was after more youth in defence and I have enough depth down back to let him go. Himmelberg also included, much like Zuthrie, I believe next year will be his breakout season, but you got to give to get and with McCarthy and now Bolton coming in, can afford to let him go as well. Pick swap to balance the trade.

Ringo to confirm.

Confirmed
Cam told me he wanted to play with his brother so hence the trade. Oxford have been in discussions about Bolton for a while and when Cam told me of his brothers desire we started to work on this trade finally agreeing to the trade. Himmelberg was added as I feel he will have a reasonable season next year and was scoring well til his Hamstring injury. Bolton still has yet to play a full season.  Swap of picks to balance trade.

Confirmed.

Fyfe's constant ill-timed injuries single handedly cost me 3+ premierships in the past, so he's out the door. Bit of a punt on Milera's body but think he will be a very good scoring defender moving forward with a good run, and Pick 17 could net me another promising youngster

Oxford Lions give: James Harmes + Mark O'Connor + NAT #29
Winchester Wolves give: Jack Ziebell + Alex Neal-Bullen + Mabior Chol

Reasoning: Ziebs became a seagull this year and if he can back up this season will help with my flag push, whilst ANB and Chol give me some more options up forward. In return, Jarmes and MOC give Winchester a solid mid and defender, along with a pick to balance it out.

Rusty to confirm.

Confirm

Rejuvenating the list so Ziebell has to say good bye. Harmes gives me some depth in the mids where I am weak, and not convinced ANB has another level, so he departs as well

Oxford Lions give: Jayden Hunt + Elliott Himmelberg
Swansea Breakers give: Xavier O'Halloran

Reasoning: Positional depth swap. I wanted to reduce my list numbers a bit as I don't have many delistings to make, also have ample depth to cover the losses of Hunt and Himmel.

Nic Newman to the Hoods. Win-win for
both teams, I need a back, they need a forward
