Title: Round 5 Trades
Post by: RaisyDaisy on April 12, 2021, 12:47:03 PM
Well well well the forum is finally back

I've got the injured Heeney to deal with as well as Caleb who might cop a week

Will need to see what happens with him first before finalising what trades to do, but Waterman is coming in this week, just need to decide on the second trade

Campbell to Waterman

Waiting on Daniel before I decide on a second trade.

Butters to Waterman.
Joe D to Petracca

If Flynn isn't playing again...
Butters to Waterman
Fullarton to Grundy

Thinking JoeD is the one I should trade out of my forwards first BCampbell may be better to keep around.

EDIT: After another think I reckon I'd be better off going
Butters to C.Jiath who could be a D6 keeper at 399k (still on the rise and I know the cash cow has bolted by some 133k but as a potential keeper he is cheap)
Joe D to Waterman

im thinking

jordan to jones to cover caleb

and mcgrath to zerrett

i got fooled by McGrath's rd 1 score

Pity about mcgrath, seems a waste but three in a row can't blame you for making that move.

I've missed chapman, chasing impey last week so jones next week is a must.

This week:

Gone: Daniel to The Riddler and Campbell to Waterman.

Went with Campbell over Jordon only due to the money needed for Riddles.

Mine will likely be Helmet to Jones, Sleepy Joe the glory boy to Oliver.

Some nice fallen prems to consider next week, Titch probably at the top of the list but I haven't discounted Neale, just want to see one ton.

Just hope Koschowerzke comes in to replace Lewis to save me eating a donut.

Waterman and Ridley in would be fun this week

I feel the Hawks won't have much of a choice unless they plan to go small and play Wingard as a marking option.

Helmet  ;D  he's not currently very popular is he  ;D that's a little kinder than "the midget" tho  ;D

Think neale bottoms out round 8 earliest even if he starts going 100-110 a round. BE 168 not falling fast...

Worth noting that Neale has had slow starts before so not a write off just yet. Stress fractures obviously not ideal but the fact he's playing a good sign.

Would rather they got him right, shame he's not going at 100%, no doubt the performances will come when he is. Can only speculate
as to the actual situation with him.

Certainly a bit of secrecy about the situation, that's the tough part. Gulden to Neale still a consideration if a straight swap possible.

I am getting rid of Caleb, he has been really off this season.

Caleb Daniel to Changkuoth Jiath
Braeden Campbell to Alec Waterman

Leaves me with over $233K in the kitty

Thinking at this stage and depending on team announcements Jordon to Waterman

And then if no shocks from team announcements Daniel to Short, Houston, Bowes or CJ.  Will CJ retain current form and be a keeoer to replace Daniel is my only real concern.

Yeah, that's been my concern with CJ.  I already have Short and both Houston and Bowes have promised before and have been a let down.

At 400k you have to pick him as a keeper, personally prefer Hurn at the same price point (in a few weeks) but in saying that I love the way Jiath attacks the contest.

No pressing issues for me this week so thinking of passing on Waterman and saving my trades as I've already used 6.  Seems to be plenty of rookies coming up, but could sideways a non playing rookie to Waterman to keep the cash flow going...

I just might do the one trade

Campbell to Waterman

I have enough to go Daniel to Lloyd, but Lloyd is due to drop another $20k this week, so I may trade Daniel to Lloyd next week and have Cox take the field to replace Daniel this week

I'm in a similar situation with Clarry but I'd rather take the points at this stage, you will be livid if Lloyd knocks out a 140. No Rampe as well.

Lloyd has a BE of 151 and is predicted to drop this week and next by over $20k each week. I will be hoping Cox plays another good match.  His 97 last week was very encouraging and he seems to be gaining in confidence.  Think I'll just do the one trade and leave Daniels on the bench for the week.

Based on last year there's roughly a 40% chance he scores 130+, so I guess it's a bit of a coin toss. The points almost 100% you will lose out.

Looking like Butters to Jiath and holding a trade for emergency Meek to Hickey trade if Flynn doesn't play.

I think Joe D and Campbell still have some cash to make so I’ll be holding them

I’m think maybe Bruhn > Waterman if anything
But worried Bruhn will still come in and score a string
Of 70s? How’s everyone see it

Unlikely GWS messes with a winning formula so I'd just bite the bullet, even 50k would be super handy at this stage, plus you get a quick 100k from Waterman.

Campbell has a BE this week of 71. He is averaging 64. With 64s in his next 3 games he will lose lose 3k, make 13k and then make another 15k.
His 118 in R2 was massive. Another big score will see him earning good money. Definitely worth keeping.
Daniher is averaging 61 and hasn't had that big score as yet that I was hoping for to get his cash gen going big time. Maybe playing his old side this week will fire him up.
But if he keeps going at his average he makes 5k, loses 7k and makes 6k. He's stalling unless he scores a big one. I've decided to trade him. If need be I can afford Grundy this week or some other firing premo the week after.

I have to replace May but think I’m going to have to pass on Ridley for now given his price and already having Lloyd, Laird, Short, Stewart and Daniel.

Really need to focus on the midfield given the poor rookie scores instead so might have to look cheaper at Jiath as a gamble hoping he can lock down D6.

Going to put some faith in Daniel to turn it around from here and be a good D5. Because that worked out well with Neale so far!

id honestly trade Daniel if your going for overall. He aint playing this week and is estimated to be around 400k in two weeks.

If he doesnt turn it around you may need alot of cash to upgrade him. Jack Bowes is only about 36k more and averaging 44 sc points more per game atm.

Thinking of doing the following trades in the next two weeks. 1. Campbell to Waterman 2. Clark to Titch and Jordan to Macrae. Although i will miss out on Jones.

Otherwise i could do 1. Jordan to Waterman (wait to see if Campbell will return to his good scoring but may lose cash) and trade in Jones next week but might miss out on upgrading.

Thoughts?

Also what happened to the forum?

Going against the sideways trade policy because I'm all Cripped out !!! I've got Josh Kelly and Crippa and don't think both or perhaps even either will be there when the whips are crapping. So out goes Cripps.
SOoooo Daniher to Waterman and Crippa to J Steele who could go beserk against the Tiges tonight.

:(

Defensive line is Lloyd, Laird, Short, Stewart, Daniel, May (Chapman, Highmore).

Originally I had planned to go May to Jiath, Bowes or Houston (with $ made from Jordon to Waterman). All are risky picks though.

Now thinking Chapman can hold down D6 for awhile, which allows me to go May to Jones for the cash to invest in my midfield, which is my weakest line. Jones plays this week and then sits at D7 looping with Chapman/Daniel where possible.

- May to Jones
- Jordon to Waterman

Trade Fullarton to Treacy to avoid a ruck donut, but miss out on Waterman

or...

Trade Campbell to Waterman, but cop a ruck donut?

Honestly tempted to cop the donut. It's 30-50 points vs the cash.

Daniel to Waterman and Meek to Grundy

Meek dropped, Flynn emergency, could grab Treacy this week but Waterman is the winner here. I still have 100k in the bank so I'll just lump the loss in cash for Grundy when he gets killed by Nic Nat tonight

Should I keep Jelly or not?

He is really flowering me off!

Worth doing Brockman > Waterman and Jelly > Ridley via Laird (Laird now M4) ?
