You can get immunity from elimination if you had the highest score the week before (up until round 10) - in which case the 2nd lowest scoring team is eliminated.

When I mentioned in my review that Steele prevented Seoul's World Idol elimination... I just assumed 1268 would have been enough! It's unheard of to be eliminated in Round 4 with a score so close to 1300!
For context, in 2019, there were only 4 rounds where a team scored more than 1268 and got eliminated!
Similarly, in 2020 (with simultaneous rounds), only 8 eliminated teams scored higher than 1268.
So to get eliminated in Round 4, the reigning 2019 and 2020 World Idol champions no less, is pretty damn unlucky!

They've toed the line for a while now, but finally lost balance as Beijing (1249) exits the Idol race.
They've had some tough luck this year, being the 5th highest scoring team and all. They even scored 160+ last week! Maybe it's something that never, ever, ever should have been conceived, animated and put on screen...
