Not a shocker

Any regrets?

Anyone dare brag?

Not bad, tossed up between Short & Docherty and went the former, happy enough. Cripps down a bit but passable against the reigning premiers.

Dusty and Cripps

Pretty happy with that.  Glad I didn't go Dow

2/258 from Martin and Short.

Dusty looks unreal, could be a repeat of 2017 form, just needs to be more selfish.

Short looked great in the 2nd and 3rd, but the 4th just wasn't his type of game, we had very few chances to rebound off HB.

Very happy I stayed away from Cripps and Dow, Cripps doesn't look as fit as he should be, not sure what it is. A lot of resting at FF, and we put Pickett on him, that's how certain we were that the ball wasn't gonna get near him with McKay leading in front of him.

Dow disappeared after a great first half, and that's what I suspected would happen, just flashes in games but nothing consistent for him to avg 80.

1/100 with Short

Spewing I didn’t keep Dusty but 1 prem forward structure (with Dangerfield) just didn’t allow it.

 :)

4 for 406  Dusty  VC   Short   Cripps   and   Dow.  Will only trigger the loop hole if one of my favoured rookies misses this week.

1/122 - Walsh looking like a good POD so far. Only in 8.2% of teams. Guessing a lot went Cripps instead (35.8%).

Dusty and Short

Wrapped with Dusty as I went him over Dunkley, but I can see Dunkley going huge tomorrow.

I’m a bit on the fence with Short though.
100 isn’t to bad but at $519K I think others close to him like Stewart and Ridley will get better scores.
Houli coming back worries me too.

4/440 + 158 once I loophole Dusty VC. Should be easy with Waterman not looking likely to play.

So glad I stuck with Walsh he's looking really good.

Houli coming back worries me too.

I'm not totally sold on him yet but he ran 15km so fewer rotations will suit. Still a dead eye kick so plenty to work with. Houli a slight worry but think we'll see him managed throughout the year. Whether that's enough to push Short to the ton remains to be seen.

21 kicks and 2 handballs with a pretty even DT to SC ratio. Doc had similar stats as well. It's a pretty good example of the kickouts at full flight.

Good points there! Yes Houli will be managed I feel too, but if Short pumps out a 90-95 next week then does he justify remaining in your team?

Can't write Dow off yet. It was against the reigning premiers and he scored 60. Against the lesser teams I can see him getting some bigger scores in the role they are giving him and the Blues style of play.

True, but I think he is more suited to ALF Fantasy instead of SuperCoach

Also, if he had of kicked that sitter goal right in front to put the Blues up in the last qtr, he would have scored 80+

Fair enough, I couldn't bring myself to selecting a player who had the breakout in 2020. Short perhaps fits into that category but the rule changes made him a worthy punt.

Dusty/Cripps/Short. Had Walsh from day 1 and got cold feet yesterday and swapped him out keeping Cripps instead. Was always going to make the wrong choice whichever one I dropped. Hopefully Josh Kelly pays off.

Still deciding whether to take Dusty VC score or keep cash gen rookies. Will Sidebottom play next week? Could be an option maybe

Sidebottom not such a terrible idea although you would want to ensure he's back next week.

Not sure yet

Funny thing, the last 2 spots I had to fill in my side were Titch + Taranto vs Rowell + Ridley

I went with the latter obviously, just because I didn't want a def rookie on field. Ridley was awesome, but just goes to show how the element of luck plays a big part in this game

Suppose you have to look on the bright side, you didn't lose cash & half the comp has him. Still had a solid score too, many lost more points on bad rookie selections.

You also nailed your rookie picks so you had a pick up the sleeve in all likelihood.

Too right, glass half full :)

Seeing as I have all the good rookies, reckon I can afford to use my 2 "correction" trades this week

Think I might dump 1 of Joe/Impey/Campbell to a cheaper rookie, then turn Rowell into Titch

Wasn't really a POD to begin with. Was in about a quarter of teams. Don't be shocked if you get a lot of guys grabbing Sloane and LDU or Tex. People will also see Zorko and Boak's scores and grab them.

1871 (gulden and Rowe on the field would have been handy)
