Not a shocker
Any regrets?
Anyone dare brag?
3/346
Not bad, tossed up between Short & Docherty and went the former, happy enough. Cripps down a bit but passable against the reigning premiers.
2/246
Dusty and Cripps
Pretty happy with that. Glad I didn't go Dow
2/258 from Martin and Short.
Dusty looks unreal, could be a repeat of 2017 form, just needs to be more selfish.
Short looked great in the 2nd and 3rd, but the 4th just wasn't his type of game, we had very few chances to rebound off HB.
Very happy I stayed away from Cripps and Dow, Cripps doesn't look as fit as he should be, not sure what it is. A lot of resting at FF, and we put Pickett on him, that's how certain we were that the ball wasn't gonna get near him with McKay leading in front of him.
Dow disappeared after a great first half, and that's what I suspected would happen, just flashes in games but nothing consistent for him to avg 80.
1/100 with Short
Spewing I didn’t keep Dusty but 1 prem forward structure (with Dangerfield) just didn’t allow it.
:)
4 for 406 Dusty VC Short Cripps and Dow. Will only trigger the loop hole if one of my favoured rookies misses this week.
1/122 - Walsh looking like a good POD so far. Only in 8.2% of teams. Guessing a lot went Cripps instead (35.8%).
2/258
Dusty and Short
Wrapped with Dusty as I went him over Dunkley, but I can see Dunkley going huge tomorrow.
I’m a bit on the fence with Short though.
100 isn’t to bad but at $519K I think others close to him like Stewart and Ridley will get better scores.
Houli coming back worries me too.
4/440 + 158 once I loophole Dusty VC. Should be easy with Waterman not looking likely to play.
So glad I stuck with Walsh he's looking really good.

I'm not totally sold on him yet but he ran 15km so fewer rotations will suit. Still a dead eye kick so plenty to work with. Houli a slight worry but think we'll see him managed throughout the year. Whether that's enough to push Short to the ton remains to be seen.
21 kicks and 2 handballs with a pretty even DT to SC ratio. Doc had similar stats as well. It's a pretty good example of the kickouts at full flight.
2/222 Short and Walsh ... content with the start
2/173
Cripps and Bolton :o
0/0 so there's nothing to be disappointed about yet ;D

Good points there! Yes Houli will be managed I feel too, but if Short pumps out a 90-95 next week then does he justify remaining in your team?
Can't write Dow off yet. It was against the reigning premiers and he scored 60. Against the lesser teams I can see him getting some bigger scores in the role they are giving him and the Blues style of play.

True, but I think he is more suited to ALF Fantasy instead of SuperCoach

Also, if he had of kicked that sitter goal right in front to put the Blues up in the last qtr, he would have scored 80+

Exactly my point, his disposal is shoddy
306/3 Dusty, Cripps and Dow. Took the VC of Dusty 1hr before bounce. :( :(

Fair enough, I couldn't bring myself to selecting a player who had the breakout in 2020. Short perhaps fits into that category but the rule changes made him a worthy punt.
Dusty/Cripps/Short. Had Walsh from day 1 and got cold feet yesterday and swapped him out keeping Cripps instead. Was always going to make the wrong choice whichever one I dropped. Hopefully Josh Kelly pays off.
Still deciding whether to take Dusty VC score or keep cash gen rookies. Will Sidebottom play next week? Could be an option maybe

Sidebottom not such a terrible idea although you would want to ensure he's back next week.

Breakout would be a 100 average or thereabouts (for SC purposes).

2/188 short and cripps.
meh.
5/483 including Grundy, Cripps and Dow.
5/512 including Grundy
With VC Martin loophole, 5/761
8/789
most of the rookies to come, that's where it will get interesting
4/497 - like our cricket team with Hayden Langer Ponting and a Waugh or Gilchrist
6/599 cripps grundy underperforming.
3/265
Daniel, Pendlebury, Scott
6/701
Didn't have Grundy
Dusty-Walsh-Macrae-Dunkley-Daniel-Howe
1872 with Rowell, Powell and JZ to come
1677 with JKelly, Butters, JZ, Powell, Flynn to go
17/1733
Taranto, Highmore, Ziebell, Powell & Bergman to come.
Have 71 sitting on the bench from Warner, looks like that will have to go to waste.
Actually after tonight don’t give a showere because Hawthorn 92 v Essedon 91
17/1649
Shocking is all I can say!
Rowe on the bench and stuck with Fullartons 38!
Ziebell, Rowell, Bruhn, Bergman and Powell.
Anything over 2000 is a bonus, doubt it will happen.
1794 ziebel flynn powell to come. gulden rowe on the bench at the game to see bombers throw it away.......
1865 with Powell and Zeibell to come - Gulden on the bench. Dissapointed with Lions effort last night although Harry Sharp showed a bit,
1770/18. TT, Powell, Ziebell and Bergman coming, think we all have at least 2 of those blokes and probably 3.
Gulden on my bench but at least I fielded Rowe. Dropped Brockman for Bergman at the last minute...need Bergman to stick at port.
???
1699 with J Kelly, D Tyson, T Powell and J Ziebell to come. Gulden's 139 on the bench, had Rowe loop holed.
::)
1,647 with Rowell, Taranto, Flynn, Powell to come.
Gawn C :(
Gulden, Rowe on the bench :(
1678/18
Taranto, Zeibell, Powell, Highmoore to come.
Flat premo scores. Neale C. Missed Martin/Mills.
I'm done with 2096. That's with no Dusty, Gawn C and having Gulden/Rowe on the bench with Campbell and Powell on field
2108 all done.
Rowe and Flynn on the pine. Fullarton and Grundy ( :o) on the field.
2179 all done.
Rowe / Gulden stuck on the bench with Campbell /Powell/ Scott on field. Looped Dusty VC allowing me to bench Brockman. Started Flynn over Hunter thankfully.
Dropped Mills out for Ryan and Walsh over Cripps so a real mixed bag for me but happy enough
2148 ... lots to think about
2031 all done - Neale C and GG - Gulden on pine,
Was looking at 2300+ until Rowell broke. Still might sneak to 2250
Damn
2045, with Rowell
Was on track for 2150+ before he got injured

Not sure yet
Funny thing, the last 2 spots I had to fill in my side were Titch + Taranto vs Rowell + Ridley
I went with the latter obviously, just because I didn't want a def rookie on field. Ridley was awesome, but just goes to show how the element of luck plays a big part in this game

Suppose you have to look on the bright side, you didn't lose cash & half the comp has him. Still had a solid score too, many lost more points on bad rookie selections.
You also nailed your rookie picks so you had a pick up the sleeve in all likelihood.
Too right, glass half full :)
Seeing as I have all the good rookies, reckon I can afford to use my 2 "correction" trades this week
Think I might dump 1 of Joe/Impey/Campbell to a cheaper rookie, then turn Rowell into Titch
Taranto POD status gone then.

Wasn't really a POD to begin with. Was in about a quarter of teams. Don't be shocked if you get a lot of guys grabbing Sloane and LDU or Tex. People will also see Zorko and Boak's scores and grab them.
2143 all done
Around 2220 by the looks. Rowell will need removing and hopefully Flynns ankle is ok.
Not the worse start to a season.
2208
Gulden/Warner on bench
Gawn/Flynn/Hunter R1-2-3 combo
Dusty Capt
1871 (gulden and Rowe on the field would have been handy)
Worst round 1 score of all time :/ didn’t help that I had all of Gawn (c), Grundy and Neale
Thankfully no Rowell dilemma to deal with but I do have danger. Also no Flynn
2100 gulden/rowe on bench merrett c -
