If you loophole you get sacked tbh
If you name five forwards you're only hurting your chances
If you name players you already traded away you're massively hurting your chances

Wisconsin Cockerels

DEF: Caleb Daniel, Adam Saad, Steven May, Dane Rampe
MID: Jackson Macrae (CC), Jack Billings, Touk Miller (VC), Dayne Zorko, Mitch Duncan, Luke Shuey
RUC: Max Gawn (CC)
FWD: Lachie Whitfield (M/F) (EVC), Charlie Cameron, Bayley Fritsch (D/F), Josh J Kennedy

UTILITY: Hamish Hartlett (D), Josh Battle (D), Alex Witherden (D)

EMERGENCIES: Ben Long (F), Trent McKenzie (D), Zach Touhy (D), Sean Darcy (R - SUB)

IN: Max Gawn, Josh Battle, Alex Witherden

OUT: Sean Darcy (Omitted - SUB), Zach Tuohy (Omitted), Jade Gresham (Injured)

Coach's Presser: Boy oh boy wowee. We take on Chicago at home for our first final, and both sides are carrying injuries. With the loss of Gresham for the season, our midfield and forward stocks get thinner by the day. It's dire times here. In good news (hopefully) Gawn will return after missing 2 games. Darcy, however, becomes the SUB in place of Witherden after strong performances. Touhy has been shoved back in the forward line by Scott, and his scoring output has dried up, while Battle seems to have moved back into defence, and comes back into the side.

Coach's Presser: Another big injury for Wisconsin, as Rampe is out for the season with a broken hand, the only silver lining is that we have ample cover in our defence for him. Ben Long comes in as our bench gradually weakens, allowing Whitfield to move to the utilities as cover.

Coach's Presser: Melbourne continue to give us hope Gawn will play only for him to be '1 week away'. Hopefully he comes back soon as he's pivotal to our flag hopes. Darcy comes back in to replace Gawn for the battle between the freo rucks, with Crozier returning from injury as the SUB.

Qualifying Final 1
Wisconsin Cockerels 19.9.123 defeated Chicago Sharks 18.12.120
(Real: 1841 vs 1803)

With no players left to play in this one, we can EXCLUSIVELY REVEAL that Wisconsin have secured a very narrow win, with Oliver unable to carry Chicago to the dub with only a pedestrian 100 as captain - 5 of his previous 6 scores would have had Chicago comfortably home (especially if you pick the 205). Macrae, meanwhile, was just as good as usual, more than making up for missing Gawn - which the week off will help his chances of playing in their next game. Wisconsin were killed by their forwards scoring 39, 63, 46, and 75, but their midfield made up for that. Chicago, on the other hand, had their defense rotting, with two scores in the 50s. Wisconsin will still be premiership favourites, but a 123 isn't exactly convincing when it comes to finals (I mean I won a grand final with a 127 iirc so I can't talk too much) and they know they'll surely face a team scoring 125+ in either their preliminary or grand final. Chicago of course have a second chance next week, and they'll be hoping get a chance to face Anaheim or Brooklyn as opposed to their often high-scoring opponents.

Best
Wisconsin: Macrae, Duncan, May, Whitfield, Miller
Chicago: Guthrie, Wallis, Andrews, Fisher, Perryman, Gaff

Boston: 1375 add Sidebottom, Pendlebury, and Goldstein (VC)
Quito: 1814 add Higgins and sub (currently 67->85)

Carolina: 1433 add Grundy (c), Daicos, and McDonald
Anaheim: 1763 assuming Callum Brown is NOT a late in tomorrow.

Las Vegas: 1694 add Moore and Stephenson
Brooklyn: 1577 add Dumont and Xerri

Boston Terriers 17.13.115 lost to Quito Quetzals 20.9.129
(Real: 1725 vs 1940)

Boston were so bad, I'm surprised they made it this close tbh. And by Boston being "so bad", I mean their only two good players in Neale and Goldy. Pendles and Sidey carried them home in the end to make it somewhat respectable, while Quito charge towards the prelim and a big step close in defending their premiership on the back of the usual suspects - Setterfield, Lukosius, Lycett, and Curnow. With both of their CCs scoring sub-100, they definitely could've and arguably should've came a lot closer to nudging 2000 - if only they had HGA. Setterfield looked set (on the field) to be BOG but Pendles swooped in late to be scaled above poor Will, but at least Will gets the week off to plan the fields for their preliminary final.

Best
Boston: Pendlebury, Martin, Laird, Sidebottom
Quito: Setterfield, Lukosius, Lycett, Curnow, Greenwood, McCluggage, Dunkley, Williams

Carolina Panthers 19.8.122 defeated Anaheim Mighty Ducks 18.10.118
(Real: 1832 vs 1763)

Carolina would've really been sweating when Grundy potatoed his way along Monday night, but Luke McDonald carried them home on his seagull shoulders (according to FF matchcentre), in what may not be officially BOG but I'd give it to him. The statistical BOG was in fact Travis Boak, pipping Dusty by a point because flower Richmond, am I right? Speaking of Richmond, their Dreamtime counterparts almost swung this game in Anaheim's favour - Shiel 57 and Stringer 20 for Carolina against Ridley 115, Hurley 67, Merrett 143, Draper 122, and Smith 113 for the Ducks, but five 135+ scores were enough for Carolina to sneak home with a solid 122, especially given their captain scored like 50 below his average. Another year another premature exit for Anaheim, hopefully for their sake guys like Boak, Mundy, Cotchin, Kennedy, Burgoyne, and Gray both go on another year and keep scoring well - and at least they outscored Boston this week!

Best
Carolina: Martin, McDonald, Ryan, Kelly, Bontempelli
Anaheim: Boak, Merrett, Mundy, Draper, Ridley, Dangerfield, Smith, Hawkins

Las Vegas Sinners 19.7.121 defeated New Brooklyn Hawks 18.7.115
(Real: 1822 vs 1722)

Another reasonably close clash, with Jukercoach living on another round as the Sinners coast through to the semis, although not without some sweat. The NBH midfield powered through (123x2, 133, 167x1.5, 80, 92, 108) but were let down by every other position, while the usual suspects did their jobs effectively for Vegas, aside from Petracca (54 points below his last-six average) and Lyons (69 points below his last-six average) who did their best to sabotage the Sinners. Jack Steele was a deserving BOG to finish his team-MVP season prematurely, with a monster 167 to lead all players for the round.

Best
Las Vegas: Naitanui, Mitchell, Lloyd, Rockliff, Sheppard
Brooklyn: Steele, Crouch, Cripps, Johannisen, Liberatore, Newnes
