Carolina Panthers 20.10.130 defeated Colorado Avalanche 15.7.97
(Real: 1955 vs 1451)

Big win and percentage booster for the Panthers - but maybe they would've preferred to save a huge score for against a fellow finals competitor? Colorado weren't too bad and had four tons, highlighted by Fort's impressive display on debut, but were let down by a lack of midfield strength due to injuries. Grundy as captain was a clear BOG but the Carolina midfielders also lead the way.

Best
Carolina: Grundy, Kelly, Shiel, Martin, Rozee, Henderson
Colorado: Savage, Fort, Gray, Simpkin

Wisconsin Cockerels 22.11.143 defeated San Francisco Grizzlies 17.8.110
(Real: 2151 vs 1645)

Was there any other team who were bound to give up such a huge score? :P Whitfield was obviously the late catalyst in boosting Wisconsin above the 2100/140 marks (scoring 135 points more than his last game!), while Gawn at the other end of the weekend started them off in the best possible way. A criticism of Wisconsin? Caleb Daniel wasn't at his usual standard for 2019, while Ablett was ABYSMAL and should be dropped and none of their non-sub emergencies cracked 60. Whitfield scored highly, but I reckon Jed Anderson deserves BOG for striving through adversity.

Best
Wisconsin: Whitfield, Gawn, Duncan, Macrae, Zorko, Dunstan, Shuey, Cameron, Saad, O'Meara, Billings
San Francisco: Anderson, Stewart, Shaw, Rohan

Las Vegas Sinners 19.8.122 defeated Boston Terriers 18.9.117
(Real: 1823 vs 1753)

Good game between two premiership contenders, with the home side getting over the line thanks to a pretty consistent effort, despite missing De Goey and Moore as late outs. The Sydney quad of Lloyd, Hewett, Newman* and Dawson were very influential for the Sinners, while Neale as captain kept Boston right in the game to make up for a lack of tons.

Best
Las Vegas: Lloyd, Hewett, Newman, Dawson, Harmes, Rockliff, Fyfe
Boston: Neale, Sidebottom, Sheed, Goldstein

Quito Quetzals 17.8.110 lost to Chicago Sharks 20.6.126
(Real: 1656 vs 1886)

Quito weren't bad at all, slightly lacking in big scorers but still broke 110. Chicago were just way too good on the day, registering a very nice score on the back of big efforts by Hurn and Yeo on Friday, with the VC and C also scoring well as Chicago put up a nice percentage booster. Cameron was the best for Quito, managing a full 69 points better than last week despite managing the same 0.4.

Best
Quito: Cameron, Mumford
Chicago: Hurn, Parker, Yeo, Oliver, Gaff, Polec, Wallis, Lynch

Houston Bombers 19.8.122 defeated New Brooklyn Hawks 15.10.100
(Real: 1828 vs 1500)

Houston were very good, with plenty of good scorers and not many passengers aside from Murphy's injury-affected 18. NBH on the other hand...not so good, as their premiership contenders tag does not go nicely with a score this low. Cripps was far far below his standard (over 100 points less than when I copped him as captain a few weeks ago!), while they had an OOP ruckman and their fair share of sub-60 scorers.

Best
Houston: Ziebell, Sloane, Heeney, Zaharakis, Macmillan, Edwards, Ellis
Brooklyn: Crouch, Houli

Ottawa Otters 18.9.117 defeated Anaheim Mighty Ducks 17.11.113
(Real: 1753 vs 1702)

When I saw Big Boy McEvoy go down injured I thought Anaheim were going to sneak/fluke into another close victory, but alas it was not to be as Taranto stepped up late to seal a big win for Ottawa - and what could be a big loss for Anaheim in regards to their finals aspirations. Just too many passengers for Anaheim, while Ottawa were mostly good across the board aside from McEvoy and Hogan, with their midfield being outstanding.

Best
Ottawa: Taranto, Fiorini, Cunnington, Treloar, McGovern, Smith, Byrne-Jones
Anaheim: Mundy, Merrett, Dangerfield, Boak, Greene, Hurley, Burgoyne
