Hype hype hype!
I'll be tallying up the votes this weekend for you to work with Levi 8) (also coz I wanna know if the winner comes down to this weekends performance, and I wanna ride that drama train live)
Rule Change Proposals:
1. Items for Discussion
1.1 Winning Bonus
Motion: Players from the winning team in each respective game will receive a 5% bonus, prior to votes being distributed.
Background: As we know, in the AFL's Brownlow system players are more likely to receive votes from the winning team.
A number of reasons for this could include:
- The vote givers determining that the vote receiver did more to help their team win.
- If a player from the losing team has a great game, on occasion it can be neglected aka "Putting up points for a bad team."
1.2 Position Bias
Motion: Apply a formula (magic number) to equal out all positional averages prior to votes being counted.
Background: Midfielders average higher than other positions and this in turn affects how easily it is for them to score votes.
- In many instances a 90+ score from a defender or forward is more valuable than a 100 from a midfielder.
- There has also never been an instance of a defender or forward winning the Stynes/Ablett Medal.
- All items are open for discussion.
- Items can be amended.
- Other items can be added to the agenda but must be seconded by Levi.
Positon bias in big favour of, shouldn't be huge though.
1.1 - really like
1.2 - Think forwards and defenders should get some form of multiplier, not so much that they are 100% equal to midfielders.
Like 1.2 but not 1.1 as it will disadvantage players in lower teams possibly causing the BOG to be overtaken by a player in the winning team.
Need to decide the weighting for 1.2 eg the factor should be 1.2 as 90 becomes 108. Personally think this is the better rule of the 2.

Yeah i dont mind the position bias but it might be hard to calculate a fair one
Not in favor of of winning team nonsense, cause unlike actual AFL how the team performs has no impact how an individual player goes

It's not difficult to calculate. I've already shown that +8 is the magic number.
I like both
Not a huge fan of the first one, the second is alright though.
I'll probably say this for the first ever time, and shy away from any rule changes, simply to keep the medal consistent to prior years.
But aware that I only have one vote:
Not sure I like the extra 5% bonus for winners, simply because of the fact that a 110 is a bigger contribution that a 105, and thus the player who gets 105 shouldn't get the nod over someone who scored more.
However, I reckon I could get behind the notion if two players tied on a score, that the player on the winning team gets the nod for a vote.
E.g. If Jimmy Toumpas scores 130, Lucas Cook score 117 and Jordan Gysberts scores 117, and Cook was on the winning team and Gysberts wasn't, then Cook would get 2 votes and Gysberts 1, instead of it being allocated randomly.
I think positional adjustments is an inexact science, and remain pessimistic that a fair and just formula could be developed. But I remain open minded nonetheless.
Just playing Devil's Advocate here, but will either of these make a difference? Titch is winning either way
In preparation for everyone's favourite Superlatives, I've compiled a list of the most prominent superlative winners!
WXV Superlative Award Counter:Purple 77 | 6 |

Purple 77 absolutely cleaning up, winning over 21% of the awards so far! Holz closely in 2nd place with 5. A few coaches (Namely Nige) will be upset not to have won any so far. Those would be looking to break their duck this year.
Literally the biggest loser in this entire competition.
Is it really a "win" though when it was a negative topic/award
I'd be -2 lol
Not a fan of the winning bonus but I don't mind the position bias one.

Gawn as a Ruck is more valuable, but then there's the extra points Mitchell gets as Captain. Mitchell for me, but I'm bias.

Gawn 128
Titch 131
Reckon Grundy could give it a shake. Has been the picture of consistency this year!

Superlatives officially all done. Ready to send out but I'm not going to yet because The Edgelord hasn't compelled me enough.

WXV Awards Night Official Date Has been Set!
Thursday 23rd August 9PM AEST
This is the official TIME and DATE of which FanFooty's Night of Nights will be held. Any complaints about the decision will be deleted and Levi will direct you to the Principal. In consultation with Purple 77, and many other coaches this date has been decided and will replicate last years proceedings. Of course this means we will all be able to digest and contest any selection dilemmas that the two teams in the Grand Final may have.
This is also a time where I would like to remind everyone to complete your superlatives and send them in ASAP. I'm going to set a soft deadline for 10am this Wednesday (15th) so I can get them out in the week leading up to the big night!
Get your Supers in!
Levi's Superlatives
Questions:Question 1: Most likely to trade their entire list just for the sake of it?Levi, cause cow. But still not as big of a cow as some others who were too lazy to send their superlatives in.
Question 2: Most likely to acquire every single player from the one AFL team?Levi would get every player from a team. At least that way The Jags would actually have a ruck to play lmao. How dumb as flower do you have to be to not have a ruck on your list? Probably equally as dumb as those too lazy to answer their superlatives.
Question 3: Most likely to persuade their partner to create an FF account?Hopefully, Madeline my incredible, inspiring, wonderful partner will have one by Awards Night. lol that is if it goes ahead.
Question 4: Coach you’d most like to punch?Levi, for being so stupid to think that everyone would get their superlatives on time.
Question 5: Most likely to know all the Fortnite dance moves?Levi. In all seriousness Madeline my partner is the best dancer I've ever seen! And everyone in WXV is too flowering lazy to learn to dance.
Question 6: Who is the one WXV coach you couldn't live without?Levi. The comp would be a hollow shell without that legend. Levi carries most of the WXV coaches like Kohli carries India.
Question 7: If you could sack any WXV coach, who would it be?Levi, so I can save the hassle of Levi deciding to leave for themselves. Leavei.
Question 8: Who would be the worst kick at goal out of the WXV coaches?Certainly not Levi. Most coaches missed their shot at Levi liking them when they didn't answer their superlatives.
Question 9: If you had to marry a WXV coach who would you choose?I'd marry Levi. But I honestly can't wait to marry Madeline! Turns out I actually am capable of loving. Madi is the best!
Question 10: Most likely to forget that a player was on their list?Levi would never forget. Levi has an incomprehensibly good memory. I remember every date that Madi and I have been on. I also remember every coach who hasn't submitted their superlatives yet.
Question 11: Most likely to live their life on the edge?Levi is the biggest daredevil. It took a lot of guts to talk to Madi for the first time.
Question 12: Most likely to stay at home playing video games every day?Levi has such good focus and is so good at videogames that he can play 2 at once. Seems like others are too slack to write a few names down.
Question 13: Which coach makes the worst trade offers?Levi. It's all part of the master plan. Also I'd rather make bad trade offers than be bad to the entire comp by not submitting supers. SERIOUSLY YOU FLOWERS ARE LETTING EVERYONE ELSE DOWN! Madi has never let me down and would be a better coach than all of you put together.
Question 14: Most likely to make being a WXV Coach their full time job?Levi. The entire FF website should be handed over. If it ever happened the site would be ridiculously good.
Question 15: Most likely to chew with their mouth open? Not Levi because Levi is the most sophisticated human being you'd meet. Thanks Madi for all the tips :-*
Question 16: Who would spend the most time on their hair?Levi. It's hard to look as stunning as Madi but at least effort is made. And no one in WXV has cared about their appearance in years. Seems like they don't care about the comp either.
Question 17: Coach you’d be scared to introduce to your parents?Levi was a nervous wreck when Madi was first introduced ahah
Question 18: Most likely to star in their own reality show?Levi and Madi the dream TV couple! Honestly I'm just happy to be with Madi. We don't need a TV show. Madi makes me happy unlike WXV.
Question 19: Most gullible coach?Levi actually thought Madi was leaving that one time when Madi joked about it... :-[
Question 20: Favourite member of WXV?Levi because no one else seems to give a shower.
The final few questions I would like each coach to answer for themselves.
Question 21: Favourite moment this year? Will hopefully come in a few weeks when I pop.. the question! Also when I finally leave this place.
Question 22: Levi has been given full power to sack any two coaches that Levi wants. Give a reason(s) why Levi shouldn’t choose you?Sack anyone so Madi can take a job here.
Question 23: Honest Opinion: Should Levi be declared King of FF and be the first ever user to have 6 stars? (FYI if you answer no Levi is susceptible to holding the Awards Night hostage. Just an FYI.)Levi = King and Madi = Queen!
LEVI IS THE ONLY ONE WHO DESERVES TO HAVE THEIR SUPERS POSTED AT THIS STAGE!

Question 1: Most likely to trade their entire list just for the sake of it?

1 Vote: UpTheMaidens
2 Votes: RaisyDaisy

Interesting Answers:
"Pretty sure Levi did this last season and is already half way through doing it again."
"Meow - loves a challenge. I was going to say Holz but then I remember he has the best depth in the comp and wouldn't want to give that up. Would you like to buy a Majak Daw?"
"Levi434, doesn't the 434 represent the number of irrelevant trades he makes each off-season, and the number before his name are the useful ones?"
"RD basically does this now, he doesn't know how to identify young talent and isn't a good enough trader to bring in the required big guns so he'll continue making no gain trades without getting New York anywhere."
"UTM is known for his love of trading. Sends out offers all the time, fkn Jay always thwarts him though."
SUPERLATIVES!
These are difficult to put together you know.

"We already know Purps like to acquire Demons, watch him get more this trade period."
"GL. cos his team is shower as is and might as well get some lions in"
"Probably Holz, because who else in their right mind would actually want more Norf players"
"Hellopplz + Dazburg. I think they truly believe Essendon players' shower don't stink."
"Purple - I just realised that Red and Blue makes Purple."
"Levi, coz he’s already done it (Patrick Cripps). Also, I’ll flowering job a cow if they say me; coz I’ll never have Dom Tyson on my list."
The thought has crossed my mind.

Winner is... Leviand also Holz with 3 votes! Congratulations Holzman and Leavei!
Interesting Answers:
"Holz would do it and make sure they get a WXVs coaching gig, and then actually use that account to help make trades to benefit Dublin and make the other team a feeder club."
"Torpedo - so that he can talk to his girlfriend online without having to use MSN. Do kids still use that?"
"Nige. his left hand probably has a separate account"
"Toss up between Purps and Torp I reckon, Purps maybe would lean towards just showing off his spreadsheets, so I'll lock in the Torpedo."
"Levi434. I'm pretty sure his bae already has an FF account."
"Ha, like any of us have ‘partners’."
"RD and AK already have accounts"
"UTM is known for his love of introducing people to FF. He brought me here."
"As much as I've tried with my partner, alas she won't go near FF, yet alone an AFL game with me :'(. If I have to say another coach, Holz. The way he can talk people into doing what he wants amazes me. Surely this applies with his partner too."
"Holz, because he would only engage in a relationship with his intellectual equal who would be as competitive as himself."
Loving some of these ;D
Especially the Holz because who would want Norf players and Levi owning the entire Carlton list haha ;D

Interesting Answers:
"JB, because he's the most frustrating person to try to trade with because he can't construct a sentence and have a normal conversation. 3 word responses, going nowhere. That's punch worthy!"
"Punching is vile, but I'd gladly uppercut upthemaidens."
"RD for every time he creams his pants at the thought of New York's 'high quality' youth in Dunstan, Langford, Anderson and Ellis-Yolmen."
"Boomz - it wont matter, he is a ghost."
"MajorLazer; he sounds tasty, and full of vitamins."
"HP probably, because he's too nice to hit me back. I'd like UTM to punch others on my behalf if I had the option, he would do far more damage"
"Toughie here, I'll go JBs-Hawks just because he goes for Hawthorn."
"Jay, because he let UTM become Co-Coach."
Good to hear these ones:

Interesting Answers:
"Well it's probably not Torp because he's not old enough to play it right? Levi probably knows them all, and I'd be certain he opens his blinds, loses his clothes and puts on a bit of a show for his neighbours"
"You know how Hellopplz's forum activity has reduced in recent times? It's actually because he's taken up professional Fortnite dancing."
"Look, probably me. Or iZander. Not Purps though, he's too good for Fortnite with his PUBG. flowerin loser."
"What kind of question if this levi? If you don’t know all the dance moves get off the computer and live your life, you don’t belong on here"
"Torp because that's what most 12 year olds seem to be doing these days."
"Torp & (I think) FTC â€" the only ones young enough that’ll like that shower."
"haha, has to be one of the game players, i'll go with Dave"
"GoLions as he seems to have all the right moves worked out"

Version 3
Welcome everyone to Awards Night 2018. It has been my pleasure to host the past 3 years and hope that you all have an enjoyable night. Remember to get on Discord for all the chat, reaction and live entertainment! I wish you all a blissful evening and I hope that everyone enjoys the show. The primary chat will be happening in the "WXV" Discord tab but also check into the "Music" tab and "DJ Relton's Rave Cave!"
This Awards Night may not have the glitz and glamour of those past. You may be wondering why? Levi are you slipping? Have you lost it? Do you deserve this honour? Perhaps the answer to these questions will be answered later tonight.
As you all know tonight we give out the highest individual honour which is the "Jim Stynes Medal." The pinnacle of individual awards that only a few have achieved. Just 3 men in history if you can believe that? Just a few days out from the Grand Final as well, this night has all the makings of an absolute game changer!

Jim Stynes Medal History:

Take Special note:If a player(s) is tied for the highest scorer in any game, or the 2nd or 3rd highest, the RANDOM function in Microsoft Excel decides who gets the highest amount of votes. For example: Katie Brennan and Tayla Harris both score 155 points each, which was the highest individual score of that game. The RANDOM function in Microsoft Excel awards (at random) Tayla Harris 3 Votes and Katie Brennan 2 Votes.
As the night rolls along Purple 77 will be announcing other esteemed awards such as the All-Worlds Team, Reserves All-Worlds Team, Rising Star Winner, Coaches Award and of course the Coach of the Year.
Levi's Big Announcement Will Also Come TONIGHT!

Round 2:
Guest Speaker: Tim Taranto
In Round 2 Seoul scored a casual 179. Whilst the most intriguing game ever occurred between London and PNL with just 201 total WXV points scored. Dublin, Pacific and Toronto also flexed their premiership muscle. Also take a look at Luke Ryan’s 3 vote performance. Interesting to note he scored the 3 in his game but would not have received a single vote in any other game this week.

Round 3:Guest Speaker: Shaun McKernGodWeek 3 was spectacular. This was the week we saw the Toronto and Dublin rivalry EXPLODE! Toronto destroyed Dublin in this matchup by nearly 200SC points in what may be a Grand Final preview. I don't think any of us knew the consequences and repercussions of what this matchup entailed.

Guest Speaker: Mystery Speaker
Do I have everybody's attention now? I feel a little bit of recapping is an order. If you didn't see the show last week, and I didn't watch either because I wasn't on it, I was suspended by LF. I was suspended because the week prior to that I got into a little bit of trouble for some things I said. I didn't get in trouble because I announced that on July 17th, my contract ends. I didn't just get in trouble because I said not only am I going to defeat FF as a whole, but that I was going to leave with the oh-so-precious AXV Title, making all future champions completely irrelevant. I got in trouble because I said things that nobody has the balls to say. Things like this website inside and outside are filled with a parade of shameless ass kissers. But never fear, tonight not only am I reinstated, not only is my premiership match back on, I brought backup just in case they cut my microphone off…

Our simple human minds won’t be able to comprehend it even if the information is available to us. AI and robots will take over from us as forms of intelligent “life†and maybe they might be able to figure it out. Digital will support organic life. Will we be their Gods? Doubtful. They’ll acknowledge us as creators but won’t be foolish enough to do stupid shower like worship. All life is, is information. A rock contains so much information bouncing around on the inside of it but all we can see is a rock. Do flat Earthers think that the moon is a disk too?

Guest Speaker: Guy I pulled out from The Edgelord’s Dungeon
Good evening everyone. I must say before I begin that I know what you are thinking. The Edgelord has been keeping me in a dungeon. But no it is not what you think. At first I thought it was trauma. I thought that The Edgelord was torturing us. And yes I do say us because there are more of us. But no. Simply put. I have been awoken. I have been enlightened. The Edgelord has shown me the way through the guidance and leadership I have only experienced through The Edgelord. And now I must say I too am ready to teach. As the great monks of old had to be taught for 2 years before sharing with the world, I too have done the same. I am very proud to be an Edgelord disciple and am happy that The Edgelord has finally revealed themselves to the world. I am looking for my first round of students…

It was at this time many started to question if Dublin could even make finals? This was also the first known instance of a resting bonus deciding the result of a match. Yet another sub-100 score polled! All the more reason to vote for it in the rule changes. It's important kids. Just like me it's important to not sit in the shadows of the guys like Levi, meow, GL, Edgelord etc. I fully recommend that you support everything Levi does.

Guest Speaker: The guy next to RTB
Well it looks like I’m on the way out. I’ve got some pretty good qualifications mate! Get me a gig here at the world xvs! I’ve got a huge tank, I used to win the time trials back in the day. I led the famous frain bulldogs to 3rd that one time. Now if you just want to make a lead, make an option!

Anyways! We takin over Levi! You can just piiiisssssss off you cow.

2018 Coaches Award!
Out of 6 very deserving nominees, a clear winner has emerged - much like his persona recently - congratulations to Adamant (Toronto)! That is one helluva effort to go back-to-back! You've given us a supreme example of how to trade and rebuild a team.
1. Adamant 33
2. iZander 20

Round 13:
Best Speaker: WXV Media
What a ruined night. Everyone here has lost the plot. What a joke!
Who recons the media should make a return? You gotta admit that we brought the fire to WXV mid year when it was kinda dead. We’ve heard a few rumblings about this year in WXV being the best it’s been for a few years. No doubt due to our contribution! We all know that Christchurch would have won 4 flags by now if WXV wasn’t rigged! And they can be flag favourites as far as we’re concerned.

Round 14:
The Best Speaker that Awards Night Will Ever Have: WXV Media
Flower all of you cows. We are so bloody good at our job that we could go ahead and ruin Levi’s big announcement right now! We’ve hacked his PMs, his twitter and his personal phone. Apparently Madieline calls him “Daddy†but that’s none of our business. But nah we actually care about the state of WXV and don’t want to ruin the surprise. If we can say anything though, it’s that Levi’s announcement will be truely groundbreaking and WXV’s will never be the same again.

Round 15:
Guest Speaker: Adam Treloar
UTM and RD exploded in the thread with a huge argument! Their epic battle raged over 6 pages with chats ranging from trades to captains. This provided the backdrop to a fantastic week. Especially the Thunder and Royals game which was decided by just 2 SC points in the closest game of the season!

Round 16:
Guest Speaker: Todd Goldstein
Unfortunately this was the round that condemned Cape Town to the wooden spoon. Not without a healthy dose of compo to go along with their shiny pick 1. Nige and Cairo also got their first ever win over Christchurch in what was a relatively quiet week in terms of discussions. No doubt the coaches with finals aspirations looking ever ahead.

In perhaps the first time ever the Stynes Medal award not only came down the last round, but also came down to the last matchup! Gawn and Mitchell played each other in Round 17 with the Medal and Finals positions up for grabs! Of course Grundy had the chance to win it all also! Was the first ever tie on the cards?
Congrats titch what a ending.
Thank you levi for all the hard work on this and in general
Round 17:
Guest Speaker: Brandon Ellis
The final round of the season. What a week it was! Toronto and Beijing battled out for percentage and the Minor Premiership, other teams all battled for spots in the 8. Dublin and Seoul fought it out for top 4. But really the main attraction of this round was the Stynes Medal race and who would win?
