WXVW Round 3 - Team Submissions
Round 3 - February 18th-19th
Bogota Margays V Jakarta Dragons
Port Moresby Cassowaries V Algerian Antelopes
Barcelona Lynx V Rome Goddesses
Karachi Rhinos V Lima Llamas
Bogota and Jakarta looks to be a shootout. Two of the top scoring teams facing off. A recent wave of Paxmania has taken over and The Margay's look to stop the onslaught. The funny thing about Jakarta is that they seem to score well, yet also bring their opposition along with them. I don't think you can do that to Bogota who are the only team to have scored 700+ in both weeks. I'll go with the consistency of Bogota in this one. 709 - 694
PMC have had the short end of the stick, however have the chance to cool Algeria's hot start. PMC have had a few injuries and a bit of misfortune but I think this is the week they'll really score well. All that said Algeria are top for a reason. Dasiy, Arnell, Grant and da grew are firing and look to be very tough to beat. So I'll go with Algeria in a close one. 668 - 691
Barca have no problems with Emma King being Captain-Coach and will be met by Rome this week. Rome has been very unlucky with 2 losses each by under 20 SC points. Rome will iron out their lower scorers and get some better contributions in this one. I feel this is the week Rome break that streak and break the 700 again. 676 - 702
Karachi have a ton of good scorers. Lima has a ton of good scorers. Karachi is coming off a loss. Lima is coming off a loss. Karachi is struggling with inconsistency. Lima is struggling with inconsistency. Karachi is 1 and 1. Lima is 1 and 1. Karachi needs to win. Lima needs to win. Here it is match of the round. 4th VS 5th. I'll go Karachi by HGA. 687 - 683

Sorry, had a flat out back end to the week. Will take last weeks team :)
I still can't name my team right :-[

What do you mean? You named your team?
If you are referring to rolling lockout. There isn't one.

Nige I'll leave the team as is. Had I have named your team it would have been basically the same except for 1 player. So I see no need to change it.
@Koop That's all good!

Nah I meant I keep picking the wrong players, the ones I leave out always score big meanwhile I'm stuck with sub 20 scores ;D

Ah yeah I feel for ya. Very tough to get right. I'm yet to get a correct ruck choice ahah
Also Torp. Please explain Moana Hope's performances. Taken at pick 2. She has gone 17, 24 and 10. Pressure is on her! Could or should be dropped at any moment!?!?!?! #Hotseat
Can anyone confirm what happened to Shaleise Law?
She didn't register a single stat but it has her named on the team list. Was she a late out? Just a spud?
Current Results:
Bogota Margays(8/504) V Jakarta Dragons(8/304)<-Captain to come
Port Moresby Cassowaries(5/192)<-Captain to come V Algerian Antelopes(7/282)<-Captain to come
Barcelona Lynx(9/387) V Rome Goddesses(8/221)<-Captain to come
Karachi Rhinos(9/355)<-Captain to come V Lima Llamas(8/377)<-Captain to come
Remember teams on left also have HGA.
Bogota could well set the top score in WXVW history. A captain scoring 63 as well as a 79 from Emma Zielke and a 86 from Lara Filocamo will do that for you. Jakarta as FTC said need some serious Paxmania. Although they have been very consistent this week you'd think they need 1 or 2 70+ scores.
PMC have only had 5 play. Tough to gauge where they are at but 75 from VC D'Arcy has their prospects looking up. Algeria are gunning. Besides their ruck's 17, they haven't got another score under 32. Can't help but wonder if Algeria have left too many points on the pine though? Their 2 EMG players who have played have scored 43 and 51 respectively. Might come back to haunt them late?
The Lynx defence has turned in their worst performance of the season. Although a few really nice scores from their interchange players have them in this game. Rome will be kicking themselves that they haven't done more. Serious questions need to be asked to some of their players. Already 4 scores under 25 I don't think is going to cut it. However, they still have one of WXVW's best in Emma Kearney to come as captain!
Karachi and Lima virtually neck and neck at this stage! Lima 22 up with 1 more played! Looks to be headed for a very close finish! Zip must be wishing he had Donnellan as C or that VC loophole was a thing. 90 from her is the 2nd best score in WXVW history! Karachi have counteracted that epic performances with four 50+ scores of their own! And another left on the EMG list! This match is certainly living up to Match of the Round hype!
Been impressed with this output btw Levi! Doing a great job :D
28 points at half-time, Karen #PAXMANIA finishes with the first TON in AFLW!*
*So long as they don't adjust anything
Levi challenged Jakarta to step up, and that's exactly what #Paxmania and Ellie Blackburn did, keeping things interesting!
90 odd from Kearney keeping me in it?
Moana an absolute disappointment again. To think I could've got Blackburn, Paxman or Brennan.

So this rule changes the result between Port Moresby and Algeria?
ie. Port Moresby won before this rule change.

I searched for a good amount of time and found nothing to suggest Law didn't play. Very harsh IMO.
We discussed and voted on it last time see the first few posts here: http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,108172.45.html
Just that when we had the change of admins etc everything sort of went out the window.
Yeah but it all got thrown out. Otherwise there would be plenty of cases for the sub rule in previous rounds.

Yep I agree but since there is no TOG stats I'm unsure what to do?
Haha for flowers sake, I can't believe forgetting to swap out Ross for Antonio cost me the win. :(
In Worlds, if the player comes off the ground through injury during or before half time, they are subbed off. We don't use TOG.

Well there isn't anything saying she didn't play and as there is no sub rule, her score should stand.

There's nothing to suggest the player in question was injured. It seems to me as though they simply did not score.
Awful week...
So what's the verdict? Are we getting a third party to determine the result of PM vs Algeria? Are we looking for further information to determine whether there was or was not an injury? Or am I doing the ladder with the current results?

What about the situation with Kellie Gibson for Rome? See here: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-02-19/match-report-aflw-crows-secondhalf-surge-topples-blues
It clearly says Kellie Gibson sustained an injury and played no further part. She also scored 0.
What do we think should happen in her case? It actually has injured players listed in the match reports there.
And yes in the case of Law and Ransfield for Algeria they are NOT listed.
On my phone, Lima won though?
