Not sure you can play Lynch, Day, 2MP along with two ruckmen.

I would be surprised if they played Witts alongside Nicholls.

Geez if GC can nail their picks in this draft they will be looking very very good

Taranto Bowes Scheer Scrimshaw Brodie all linked and all possible gets for them (Bowes/Scheer definite)

B. Lemmens Schade Willis
HB. Joyce Leslie Scrimshaw
C. Shaw Hallahan Bowes
HF. Davis Grant Taranto
FF. McPherson Currie Ah chee
R. Witts Lonergan Brodie
Int. Scheer schoenfield And all emergencies who don't play in AFL team.

Their neafl team could actually do alright against Giants.

Very happy with the GC pickups in the draft!

Pick 4 - Ben Ainsworth
Pick 7 - Jack Scrimshaw
Pick 9 - Will Brodie
Pick 10 - Jack Bowes
Pick 67 - Brad Scheer

Ainsworth looks to be ready for the AFL and the other 4 I recon could/should get an opportunity at some stage this season. Ideally Brodie and Bowes combo gets as many games pumped into it as possible but the midfield looks quite strong right now and not sure if they will be able to break in for a while.

Scrimshaw I recom will be one of those ultra-consistent guys who flies under the radar and always plays his role.

Yep with 4 top 10s they had to nail them and by the sounds of it they have

So Ablett stepped down as captain. Looks like Tom Lynch is the the next in line. Don't mind it but GC need to keep GAJ happy otherwise this will be yet another failed season.

Personally Levi think Steven May may get the nod.  GC will need to give Ablett all the assistance they can this season to help him in his off field family issues.

Lynch and May cocaptains I recon.  I mean, May will be suspended every second week so Lynch will end up doing the job anyway :P

Agree with Meow that 2 rucks plus Wright may be a bit top heavy.  How is the cannon looking this preseason. Know he had a big let down last year but surely at his best would be in best 22.

QuoteTom Lynch and Steven May have today been appointed co-captains of the Gold Coast SUNS.

The two 24 year-olds shared the responsibilities for the final seven games of the 2016 season following Gary Ablett’s shoulder injury, demonstrating their collective leadership qualities to GC SUNS coach, Rodney Eade and the broader club.

“We have spent a lot of time over the last couple of years identifying and developing our next generation of leaders,” Eade said.

“Steven and Tom have stood out throughout that process and their appointment as captains is recognition of their commitment to leading the future direction of the Gold Coast SUNS.

Called it

I find it impossible to see GAJ staying up there now. Coach will want to start building something and there's no point building it with Ablett hanging around.

Looking like GC will force him into retirement to make a point.

In other news Witts can't crack the top ten in the B&F and Gaz wins after missing 8 games. WTF !!

GOLD Coast has begun its long-promised off-season of change, delisting five players just two days after holding its club champion count.

Senior-listed pair Jarrad Grant and Mitch Hallahan and rookies Keegan Brooksby, Ryan Davis and Cameron Loersch have all been told they won't be offered contracts for 2018.

Agree plus these players are most likely irreparably damaged from spending time at such a shower club

It all went downhill when these crackheads sacked Guy McKenna.

Tend to agree with this statement. Eade does not have the ability to develop players look at the Cannon and how far backwards he has gone as an example. Also lack of decent facilities did not help either.
