Title: Adelaide 2017 Premiership Season Megathread
Post by: tbagrocks on October 31, 2016, 08:13:08 PM
So with new signings and good news, Adelaide set to land their first Father-Son Ben Jarman

I thought now would be the time to start 2017's new megathread

Also Reilly O'Brien has a new two year contract and Harry (My boy) Dear has a one year extension!

Poor Mitchy Grigg has been cut as has Ricky Hendo. Surely both have something to offer at AFL level? ???

Fixed.

Really excited to see what Jarman and Ricciuto bring this season. Hopefully McLeod can go alright.

Extremely happy the fact nobody is talking about us at all!!

That third quarter against the full strength Geelong (Minas the sook Paddy second half) Kid crows went 5 goals to nil!

Look out for Curly Hampton and Rory Atkins this year! My boy Jake Kelly (Son of) Might even get a go! But with Cheney, Lever ready and with Andy Otten starring, Crowland looking good. That's all I'm giving away ;)

I feel like this team has turned a corner, so flowering proud of the lads tonight!

Tex you absolute flowering star and Sloaney is the heart and soul of this side, couldn't be happier right now!

Finally evened up the Showdowns as well now with 21 apiece 8)

Was a great game. Didnt play well until after quarter time but credit to Port they brought the heat early on, but were just way too sloppy to capitalise on their lead.

Thought Sloane was clear BOG, Tex turned it on late and Hartigan did a great job on Gray.

McGovern injury hurts, hopefully it's not too severe but Jenk should come in for him. Hopefully Brad looks good today and he can come in for Milera.

We've started slow every week now and come back so I wasn't too worried but their ball movement in first quarter was very impressive, we shut that down straight away though.

Hartigan's game was incredible, completely shutting down Robbie Gray at his size is amazing, he kicked two with one being a nothing goal right at the end, wasn't sure on the match up at first but damn Pyke is a flowering genius to make that move.

Yeah would love a fit Brad in, think we'll give him at least two weeks in the SANFL though.

So Hugh Greenwood has been upgraded to senior list! Im hoping the Basketballer plays as need him for Fantasy

But I like what I see in the 190cm 24yr old utility/midfelder

Excelling SANFL after not playing footy for 8 years till 2016 when Category B drafted. But kid has size, agility and pace! CANT WAIT to see him at AFL level soon, if not named in 20 minutes!

If Eddie and or Brad miss, a couple could come in. Hopefully with the Lever!

I think if Eddie misses, they might throw in Jordan Gallucci up forward. Seedsman set to come in possibly if Brad misses. Harrison Wigg also set for a debut

Wont matter who though given we only play Collingwood, minus their only tall forward! Be nice to see a couple of those youngsters get a game though!

My guess is that the Lever and the Gov will stay if, the crows offer similar to what interstates are offering!

Also heard Brisbane chasing Charlie!

Rocky to the crows though 8)

My gut feel is. The Lever will stay, Gov may go if the money isn't above 550-600k, Rocky will be the player Adelaide move for!

Sheesh I'd love to get Dusty though! :o

Have heard from reliable source that Cameron is gone, which is very disappointing. Being a realist now about McGovern and Lever. If they haven't signed by now, then it's just about certain there gone also.

This ought to be the last year for Reid, crows list management retaining players has been putrid. Why they wait on signing up players until their prices have completely inflated is beyond me! I can't see us recovering from this, it will have long term damage and Rockliff isn't the answer. He's slow and just simply not a damaging player.

One question then a statement or two!

Q: Why would so many players want to leave the Premiership team?

S: Should Charlie go, firstly, we have a replacement or three, Pohokle, Gallucci and of course SOD (Son of Dazza) Ben Jarman

S: Should Mitch, Charlie go, I fully expect a former Lions captain to join the Premiership team in 2018

S: Lever will stay!!!   ...........    if   ................  Adelaide offer enough money! Mitchy too btw

I could only assume a young fella that wants some coin. His old man has some history with South Freo etc so there's that

I'm still petrified at the thought of the McGovern boys playing for Freo together... At least I wont have to consider that for a couple more years

It's great to be in a Prelim but it's going to get harder and harder yet.

On a serious note. If Lever is keen to go home to Victoria should the Crows be trying to do a deal with the Blues
and try to bring Gibbs home for 2018.

Actually thought the Lever was more professional than a guy who can flee back to his home state simply because he can! When did Roger Federer last win a big tournament in Switzerland? Or Leo Messi in Argentina?

Yeah I actually think Jake Lever is a bigger man than that, soon we'll see!

IF he goes  ...... money in the bank to bring in Rockliff, unsure why they'd pay ransom for Gibbs when Rockliff will come for free!

But my biggest concerns are. Will Adelaide and the Doggies get a fair deal for Lever and Stringer? My guess is no!

But the Lever has not left yet    ....................................

Also, Lever is gone.

Ok so they aren't sure yet
http://www.afc.com.au/news/2017-09-17/mitch-mcgovern-update

Huge blow if though! Im thinking Wayne Milera Jnr will come in if the Gov doesn't come up!

Milera will have something to prove given he was the player Adelaide took with that sook mummy's boy Paddy trade pick #11
Ha ha ha you will get over Danger leaving one day mate they say time heals all wounds  ;)
How long ago did GUNston leave?
SPUDgun left five years ago, funny thing is he will be in a shower team the rest of his career!

But the best thing of all!!!! To see Paddy's tears on the Adelaide Oval next week when the Cats are sent packing back to Geelong where they belong! Then Paddy can cry on mummy's shoulder all he wants aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwww  isn't that lovely :-*

McGovern would be a loss, however he's not that crucial to you guys. Geelong played their grand final last week and will fall flat again this week. You guys will win by 5+ goals.

Gov and Smith are VERY important. I was confident but having some doubts now. We don't have anyone to replace Gov.

This thread title has 39 letters/numbers in it. I reckon you'll be cutting it in half (rounding up to 20 letters/numbers) after next week

I don't want to have to come back to this board again to clean up the posts.
If it can't remain civil then I'll just lock the thread until further notice and there may be consequences for those involved
Tigers supporters I know you are happy but there is no need to posting condescending things at this point in the Crows board and Crows supporters been there with the Eagles GF loss,it's stings but try to control yourselves a bit with what you respond with and that goes for anyone else that may decide to join in
Thank you
LF
