Ethan Hughes was on the Quito list I received when I took over, but is also listed in the player pool.
Can someone please confirm if he is on the list or in the player pool?

we have 55 players on our list so will only be using R22
Title: Re: Rookie Draft Thread
Post by: Jukes on December 03, 2016, 07:21:14 PM
I believe each club will require this amount of players (picks they will use for them):
Anaheim: 1 (22)
Boston: 7 (12, 36, 45, 48, 60, 72, 84)
Carolina: 6 (11, 23, 35, 47, 71, 83)
Chicago: 5 (1, 7, 14, 21, 33)
Colorado: 4 (15, 31, 39, 51)
Houston: 4 (18, 30, 42, 54)
New Brooklyn: 4 (5, 17, 29, 41)
Las Vegas: 2 (3, 13)
Ottawa: 5 (4, 16, 28, 40, 52, 59)
Quito: 5 (2, 6, 9, 10, 24)
San Francisco: 4 (8, 20, 32, 44)
Santiago: 2 (19, 43)

If I'm wrong let me know. As soon as PSK and I pick the last two ND selections and I finalise the player pool we can start picking.

Jukesy can you please cross out Sam Shaw from the Rookie Draft list, probably shouldn't be available as he is retired

Quito grab the exciting Aliir Aliir with #2 in the Rookie Draft

Jayden Hunt come on down

Goes to show how bad my eyes are, didn't even see him to include him on my big board (well, short word document) of players in this draft ranked. And I have a few key position back spuds on there :P

He's on a list so I'm tempted to keep him up there, but I might as well scrub him. Joel Patfull too.

Aliir^2 was #6 on my big board (he's already 22), but it's close up there so a lot of good options. Hopefully a few of them can slip to #8 :P

There are so many names on my big board, so tight together, had such a difficult time choosing but chose Aliir as I think he has room to grow that average, which is why I very slightly favoured him over a certain 25 year old. Besides, Quito's side needs a little longer to mature and Aliir meets the age requirement.

Difficult spot, seeing as it's hard to automatically assign him a player because of the AFL Rookie Draft vs Unlisted Players. I'll give it a few more hours and then maybe I'll pick for him if you all think that's an appropriate step to take?

He's generally not too bad, once he sees the email he should pick so yeah I'd say give him a few more hours then get this shower rolling.

Quito request to select Rupert Wills. Was just looking at the DPP players list for next year and saw his name pop up, checked and he's not on this rookie draft list, but as far as I can see he is not owned by anyone either.

Edit: I haven't PM'd the next coach yet as I would ideally like to confirm that this pick is okay with Jukes before progressing

I hope y'all are remembering to officially pass when your lists hit 56 players because I'm not going to do it for you
Title: Re: Rookie Draft Thread
Post by: Nige on December 08, 2016, 10:31:12 PM
Use the templates in the team list by position thread if you have to. Got 1-56 for each side there, you just gotta add your player names. I'll begin updating each list in that thread on the weekend but if you use that and get started yourself, you'll be better for it.  :)

Woops, yeah you would have. You can either delist the worst player on your list and keep Melican or just unpick Melican (I'd suggest the former option)

It would have been fair to just delist another guy though anyway, it would be just like if you had delisted an extra guy pre-draft.

If any of the last teams (Quito, Ottawa, NBH, Houston, and Colorado) would have wanted Melican with their pick, now is your time to speak up.

Francis Watson

Can't stress enough right now that everybody check and double check their list to ensure they have exactly 56 players. Later on replacements from the pool can only be made in case of extreme circumstances such as a very late retirement, sacking, etc (e.g. myself losing Jaensch before last season), from where you can take your pick from the player pool.

So check your 56!

I'll get to doing the team lists during the week (will probs start either tomorrow night or Tuesday afternoon).

I'll end up doing them like I have in Euros or my team thread here (look in either spot for an example), because it's easy to read and helps when it comes to list management such as naming teams, trading etc.

If anyone wants to get started on their own, just use the template.
