Is there a list of eligible players anywhere Ringo? Particularly Sir Daniel of Caleb who will be playing for the Badgers this week, with Michael Spudlow getting the axe.

Toby! 8)

Was going to suggest the other week to GL that in Rd.11 we forget about all other players and have a Sir Daniel v Toby one-on-one showdown ;)

Would have to think of a Royal name for Toby first though.

James Harmes can consider himself extremely unlucky, missing out with 147 points compared to Petracca's 148 :o

Suggestions for how to find the winner of Rising Star:

1) Current Method - Using averages for games played - Little difficult to go back and find all games played by them.

2) Have Coaches vote for 5 in preferential order with winner being the player with most votes. This is similar to how the AFL decides its rising star.

Yeah atm you have to have played at least 5 games, however highest average could turn it into a midfielders award. I kinda like the idea of being able to vote for a top 5 or something tbh, but that's just me :)

Rhys Mathieson ranged between 103 and 170 in his 8 games. With an average of 132. What a gun.

And little Jade Gresham ( who will be a forward next year) has had the last 6 out of 7 games over 100 (120 avg).

I'd like to move that the vote include all first year players.

Marcus Adams and Michael Hartley are being genuinely discriminated against and robbed by the current criteria.

Has to be a Vote, easiest thing to model on the AFL.

Connor Blakely

R9 onwards

178, 176, 174, 163, 126, 138, 136, 153, 122 and whatever he scores today which is already 120+

That is a 9 game average of 151.77 (without today's game).

I know some of your players have performed excellently as well, but surely this is a no contest. Hedgies never started him either until his big game so we never got a bad score out of him. The perfect rising star.

135 in today's game for Blakely. 10 game average of 150.1

Season average from 13 games of 135.

Do we really need to vote? Unless he's competing against someone that isn't a mid, there is no reason to choose another midfielder over him?

135 in today's game for Blakely. 10 game average of 150.1

Season average from 13 games of 135.

Do we really need to vote? Unless he's competing against someone that isn't a mid, there is no reason to choose another midfielder over him?

um what? Parish 130 average from 18 games, Fantasia 111 from 18 games with def/fwd, Daniels 124 with forward status from 18 games...

Probably dont need to vote but the winners not blakley ;)

I'm on my phone but thought he averaged 135 this year, I like to look at the whole year when looking at this award :) I think the 10 less points is more valuable as a forward that's all not to mention 7-8 more games :P

Because I think it's a better indication of how they went this year, more games the more accurate the average will be imo :)

I never said that first point I don't think?
Secondly settle down, it's just rising star, no need to promote your player so hard, people are capable of choosing for themselves :P

l think Darcy Parish fits the bill here.

Stepped up in unprecedented circumstances.
Played a lot of games.
Played in the engine room with the big boys.
Played with leadership and poise.
Scored well.
Impacted games regularly.

A class act and future elite there's no doubt.

Well he missed the week before that with injury and since he "only" got 135, his 9 game average would increase...
