Taylor Walker to score the highest weekly score of the year. Was going to a SC record but don't know what that is ... Let's say 271 pts vs Carlton because I hate them ...for a 20 mark 16 goal game.

Daisy Thomas plays 23 games and cracks out a 110av. just to mess with people

Daniel wells plays 23 games and cracks out a 110av. just to mess with people

Ablett goes 150+ for 3 rounds then hurts himself. Again just to mess with people.

Mostly I predict that the SC gods are gonna mess with us. And I look forward to the carnage.

A couple of things Holz - He is a very accurate kick and should revert back to the run and carry as well with all the mids returning. (Only David Swallow and O'Meara are in the rehab group atm). KK is really showing up on the training track as well and has coaches enthused.

-Luke Dunstan to get over his injury year + 2nd year blues to average 90+ this season.

-Ryan Harwood to show what he can do and be a top 15 defender.

-Billy Hartung to step up for the Hawks and average 90+ this season.

-Little Libba to bounce back straight away from an ACL and average 110+.

-Lance Franklin to be the highest Avg FWD.

-Sam Jacobs to be the highest scoring ruck.

-Jack Billings to become a FWD prem by the end of the year.

Robbie Gray will win the Brownlow
Port will win the flag because Ryder isn't rucking and Lobbe can do what he is good at.
GAJ will be top fantasy pig once again
Melbourne will make finals
Geelong won't, and their huge outlay of picks and cash will be laughed at. Then they'll probably win the flag in 2017. jerks.
Hawks will get done by Port for the flag
Essendon with half a team won't do half as bad as what people expect, because Carlton and Brisbane are still in the competition
Stephen Dank will be assassinated by a rogue ninja
I will not fail at super coach this year

Essendon to challenge for the 8.

Go home, you're drunk.

Challenging for the 8 isn't making the 8.... If there were 5 teams within reach of the 8 and Essendon were one, this statement would be accurate.

Drak with that call geelong will be laughed at. When have we ever been laughed at in ten years? teasm try to follow our legacy, we recruit one of the best mids in the comp with some other solid recruits and lost a few ageing star who regrettably  probably  hindered us last year kills me to say. But  mark my words geelong will finish top 4 and i will revisit this thread at the end of the year.

Calm down sweetheart, as you can tell a vast majority of sweeping statements in these threads are full of hot air. But Id hate to burst your bubble. Geelong aren't finishing top 4. You have Hawks Sydney West Coast Freo Bulldogs and North Melbourne who are better outfits. Patrick Dangerfield isn't enough to plug the holes left by your superstars who are gone or over the hill.

Nah, top 5 in the comp ;) What's the point of the thread if I ain't gonna make a big call. Also Holz I believe you'll find that Westhoff was top 10 last year for forwards so if he finished top 5 it wouldn't be that surprising :)

Any reasoning behind this one PB? More time in the ruck or up the ground? Even across HB like he did a few years ago? Or just a gut feel :P

I thought he would do it last year as Ryder in allowed him to go everywhere. But Ryder took Lobbe's spot in the end and Westhoff was still that 2nd forward. Now with Dixon in Hoff becomes the 3rd tall and also the 2nd ruck. So a bit of a gut feel but he should get more time in the mids I reckon.

Swans to miss the 8

Hawthorn v Port Adelaide GF

Richmond to sack Hardwick after they choke in another elimination final.

Mumford to be the highest averaging ruck before he gets injured and misses half a season.

But that is by price which is done by average isn't it? He played 22 games last year which put him above a few guys that averaged more :) But yeah, he'll be top 5 in the comp for total points scored :P

It wouldn't surprise me if they drop out. Crows also have a tough run as well so they are the one most are expecting to drop out. I'm thinking that Freo, Sydney and North are in the top 4, not sure about the last spot.

The reason I have the Hawks out of the top 4 is they might struggle with no Roughy early. Hale was struggling towards the end but he is gone as well, they will rely a lot on Gunston to carry the load from a tall forward perspective. They might drop a couple that they didn't expect to and it might see them finish 5th.

I think with West Coast teams will have spent the summer looking at the game plan and attempting to stop them. It's a lot harder the second time around and I think the draw will be tougher as well.

I don't see Richmond being better then Freo, Sydney, North, Hawks or West Coast. There are 6+ teams fighting for the last 3 spots. Someone has to miss so them being overtaken wouldn't be a surprise.

Nah, it's for the reasons as stated above. The Hawks draw at first look isn't actually all that bad, but Roughy is arguably the most important player to the way they structure up. They probably drop a couple of those early 50/50's which might see them just out of the 4.

I think West Coast probably had the best structure of any team last year and I think a lot of the success had to do with the way they were coached. Teams have had an entire offseason to pick apart the game plan and figure out how to try and stop their slingshot attack. I think they still win between 14-16 games, so it will see them finish anywhere between 2nd and 6th. It's also tough to back up considering the season they had last year, I'm not expecting them to drop off drastically, but they are easily in the mix. The Dogs interest me in this regard as well because they both played similar footy even though the way their talent is structured in terms of strengths is very different. Well coached and very strong defensive structures.

As I said with Richmond, I don't see them as a better team then Hawthorn, Freo, Sydney, North or West Coast. Then you have teams like Port and Geelong trying to bounce back, the Dogs trying to continue on an upward trend, the Crows trying to maintain their performance, Suns/Pie/Giants trying to get the young guys to take the next step, I think they are in the mix with those sides but not a top 4 team.

Puting him in my AF side at this stage (more trades up sleave if doesn't work out). First game last year was impressive and saw some good second efforts tonight. Hawkins will take best defender (early season at least) so if knees hold out could break out this year.

And I also have the Swans missing the 8 like AK said, but only just.
If the Swans miss the eight I'll delete my FF account shortly after uploading a detailed video of me shelving an object of your choice.

I'm v confident it ain't happening.

Can't see them missing either

But will be very competitive year earning a finals spot

Watch the fox footy round table. They explain perfectly why IMO the swans will miss the 8 in 2016.

he doesnt have to, he is averaging low 90s. averaged 89 in his second season the guy can score.

its more a case of hall dropping his average. I can certainly see him going under 95 from here on out, probably under 90.

1. Gold Coast are undefeated he is 80 uncontested disposals to 28 contested. He wont be able to get as much lose ball when they arent winning and playing some better squads.
2. When JOM Swallow come back they wont push him out of the midfield but they will take away some of his lose ball gets. Being an uncontested player you need to get habll given to you. Not sure about you but if i see Jom Hall Swallow running next to me i aint giving it to hall.
3. It is possible that team could start to tag him.

I don't see JOM or Swallow returning till the middle of the season at the earliest. Swallow may not be back at all this season it is a really bad injury.

JOM 99% will leave the suns at the end of the year to move to Victorian club so do you play him in the midfield or give that spot to a Lonergan or a Miller?

The suns have a good draw and all the attention goes to Ablett (understandably) so I cannot see Hall getting tagged. He is one of the fittest players in the comp and runs all day, so with the new interchange rules he will only be benefited in being able to get more uncontested ball. On the weekend no Carlton player could keep up with him, they were all completely stuffed after 1/2 time.

He could drop, but in my mind he will continue to score well, likely not to be tagged and the new interchange rules will only help him later in the season. Very happy to have him in my team.

in saying that

Wright posted 88 in a 60 point loss to Sydney
103 in a 50 point loss to GC

so can really score at any point. They have a pretty easy draw still

Hall does have some tough games with Eagles at Subi, Sydney, Adealide, Giants at home in the next 5 weeks.

Also Halls big scores have all come up against freo, carlton, essendon and lions, which is 4 of the bottom 5 sides. In the games against good opponents he has struggled with 90 and 76

Matty Wright to outscore Aaron Hall from round 4 onwards.

yes you heard that correctly.

Hall 93.3
Wright 95.6

surely if this gets up has to be one of the calls of the year.

Albeit being a lot closer than expected, Hall won't play Geelong in Geelong every week and get pumped by 120 points and conversely, Wright won't play Freo and Essendon back to back again.

in saying that

Wright posted 88 in a 60 point loss to Sydney
103 in a 50 point loss to GC

so can really score at any point. They have a pretty easy draw still

Hall does have some tough games with Eagles at Subi, Sydney, Adealide, Giants at home in the next 5 weeks.

Also Halls big scores have all come up against freo, carlton, essendon and lions, which is 4 of the bottom 5 sides. In the games against good opponents he has struggled with 90 and 76

caught a little break with injury to hall but its

88 111 88 71 82 81 77 78 wright for 84.5 average

Hall

114 90 76 95 84 DNP 68 52 for a 82.7 average

we have hit the lead folks.

I think this post is a little more arse than class.. Hall was just hitting form again, if he didnt get injured I think he was in line for a 100-110 average from here to home...
But, cudos to you I guess..

got to see how Wright goes after this wright went 112 96 99 61 71 95 so 2 bad games but a solid 89 average.

Wright will probably finish slightly below but will do it from 22 games.

Yep, every key forward is able to get in on the action against Brisbane. EVEN JOHN BUTCHER ARGUABLY THE WORST PLAYER ON AN AFL LIST RIGHT NOW!
