Since we've reached the end of the H&A season, might as well start to get trades going. Player movements made will obviously NOT count for this 2015 season's finals. Trades with different amounts of players/picks changing hands are allowed (i.e. 2-for-1 trades).
There's no real voting-for-approval thing going to happen, but if I think a trade is extremely lopsided or I get sufficient complaints about a trade from other coaches I'll consider rejecting it.
As usual, one coach posts the trade and the other team/s coach/es will confirm it, try and keep the discussion in the other thread (http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,104404.0.html).

Paparone and Wellingham will be defenders and wont be starters for me so willing to take a punt on CEY turning into a premo mid is a highly rated youngster
Yep and for me, CEY is well behind Wallis and Sheed and on par with Robertson who all barely make my utilities so hes very expendable.
Big fan of Paparone!
Ottawa trade: Libba + Menzel
New Brooklyn trade: Hogan + Buckley
Marlon to confirm.
Need some decent gun forwards. Hogan will be a beast and Buckley should be a good young defender for years to come. Can afford to offload a premo mid and Libba is the chosen one. Marlon likes Menzel so (y).

The Dog needed a ruck, I needed another defender and a mid. I also had a bit of fwd depth so letting Mitch Grigg go works.

Haha I generally operate on a first in, best dressed policy.
I was operating on the assumption that trades would open after finals. Also on getting the best deal for the club/player which means shopping around perhaps.
So was behind the eight ball a bit here.

Confirmed
Sad to see Crisp go (recipient of the 2015 coaches award) but I really rate Bruce as a future prospect and we have a surplus of young mids and a shortage of starting forwards. Crisp was the best of our developing mids (his inevitable loss of his dpp status made him susceptible to trading) but this is the price we are willing for pay to end our forward line woes.

This further strengthens our list depth. I feel like we have the forwards to cover JJK's absence next season and I think we can trade in midfielders elsewhere to cover Greenwood. All the players coming in are ones I fell have a lot of potential so I don't mind giving up a couple of starters for them.
Short term I think Anaheim will win this one fairly comfortably but, long term I think we will gain the edge - a perfect deal that works for boths sides :D
Colorado Avalanches give; Steele Sidebottom + Maverick Weller + Angus Litherland
New Brooklyn Hawks give; First Rounder + Lachie Whitfield + Seb Ross
Colorado keen to refresh its mids. Whitfield and Ross bring youth. Early RD1 pick will be very handy. Sad to lose Sidey but you have to do something.
Hawks to confirm.
Confirmed.
Its a shame i cant use my top pick. But i need to get off the bottom as soon as i can. And Sidey is a personal favourite of mine and is another Captain choice for me. Weller will do me well for mid depth and Litherland will get games once the old hawks retire. Shame to see Whitfield go though, will be a gem in the future but my young mid stocks are pretty handy.

I'm thinking Brodie might be one and done in regards to his good season (2014) and I think I made the necessary trades to fix my defence so trading Brodie should be fine. Decided I needed an improvement on Brad Hill for my interchange/utilities and I reckon Zaharakis can bounce back after a poor year to be that man.
Santiago gives: Clem Smith, Jed Adcock, & Third round pick

Not a big trade, probably the smallest of the period. But works out for both sides.

Like fatty Clem Smith, biggest slider of the draft, should do well in a few years for the blues. Adcock...Is the risk here, might not even get picked up by any club. And could find a potential gem in the 3rd round.
Also guys, bit unimportant but I'll say it anyway;

Well Seeing as I have two 2nd rounders it is important. Fixed it in this quote for you Jukesy.
You're fine there, only have to specify if you're trading another team's pick.
If you just say 2nd round pick for your own pick it's fine

Colorado give: Nathan Jones + Sam Lloyd
T Dog to confirm.
Got a surplus of forwards and I don't think I'll necessarily be needing the pick whereas T Dog now has a focus on youth and rebuilding his list a little. I wanted to fill out my interchange with mids so Jones will help towards that while Lloyd should be a handy fringe player.

All right I need another midfielder so here's a deal involving Quito and New Brooklyn. Cripps as a forward (and not injury prone) slightly outweighs Polec's value so the pick is to balance the deal.

Another transaction between Santiago & Colorado
Santiago Gives: Sam Gray & Rookie Draft Pick #3
Colorado Gives: Nick Malceski & Nat 8
Santiago is sad to see Sam Gray go, however we must prepare for Enright's imminent departure and Nick Malceski provides us with defensive depth (and a possible average anywhere between 60-95 imo) for at least the next 2 years (another short-term 'Jarrad Waite' type filler for our club). Primarily, we need a first round pick and we are happy to secure at least one for the upcoming draft.

We are paying a premium here but, Barlow is a midfield premium which is an area we are quite short on so that makes it a fair price in my opinion.

Houston Bombers give: Travis Boak + Joe Daniher
New Brooklyn Hawks give: Isaac Heeney
Isaac Heeney's possible forward eligibility is the main reason for the trade, i have quite a few decent midfielders and might lose a few dpp's next year with some of my M/F. If Heeney loses forward status at any stage he should still be a quality midfielder so im happy to trade for him anyway. Boak is a gun midfielder and Daniher is a young forward replacement.

I'm so going to regret this one. Heeney has something special about him. But the offer was too tempting, Boak has still over half a decade of good footy left in him, and Daniher's potential is MASSIVE when it comes to supercoach, once Essendon actually improves, Daniher will start to destroy it.

Averaged 106 the last 2 months of the season (92 overall, with a green vest and bunch of tagging roles). Real big surprise, him and Guthrie arguably won me the flag.

Not sure if there are grumblings about the Heeney trade.
I offered the same players for Stringer, Cameron and Hogan.. no-body wanted Boak.
PK's mids imo needed a quality mid and he got one although not the youngest. He also got a young forward to replace the loss of Heeney.
To get gun players of the future you have to be fair ..and I have given some overs.
Santiago and Colorado back at the trade table.

Confirmed
Sad to lose Hall, as he will be a full fledged premium and the club had a lot of hope for him, in which he started to deliver. However, our club is hoping to make an immediate impact next season and as inconsistent as Zorko can be (and despite his high likelihood of losing dpp status) he is the sort of ancillary player we need to remain relevant in the short-term. Zorks will have big shoes to fill for our club and leaves us with only 2 picks within the top 20.

I try not to have any Eagle bias in the XV and XVIII competitions*. I think the guys I could get with Pick 1 or 2 will potentially be better than Redden which is why I made the deal.

I have the same policy with Port Adelaide players mate :P
After the Brisbane Lions loss I wanted to strip Lobbe of his B&F votes (as he was one of my top scoring players that round, but was atrocious during the game - he was pure shower). I decided that it would lack integrity so I defiantly gave him the votes. Luckily Hartlett missed out on the top 5, was the 6th highest scorer, because he pissed me off more than anyone during that match and I would have certainly stripped his votes if he had scored around 3 more SC points.

Sad to see a contested machine in Whiley go after so long (esp. with the Bolton rebuild which will see him utilised in his primary role). JKH has potential but is the steak knife in this deal. Both teams receive a fringe player for our respective deficient stocks (Colorado needs mids, Santiago needs forwards) and hopefully two top 10 picks will be enough to secure the draftees I am set on

It's a shared responsibility (for the coaches to speak up rather than expect the commissioner to do everything).
I doubt any administrative problems will arise in this comp. though (all the coaches are committed to the league which is good to see) :)
It won't be too long before I'll be around more (uni ending + Fallout addiction dropping) and therefore less prone to errors, and I'll be on top of everything else such as team lists.
I guarantee the official team lists will be up to date before the AFL NAT draft starts on the 24th, with our draft to start on the 28th (after the AFL PSD and Rookie drafts).

Yeah I couldn't make time myself during my uni exam period
Don't worry too much and go at your own pace - those who have traded picks could all post our respective picks on the NAT thread a few days before our draft to make it easier. Don't stress though, I'm sure all the coaches would be happy to help if needs be :)

I'm going to take a punt on McKenzie despite the fact Eade is using him in a shutdown role. Santiago takes a punt on someone who could either push for a starting place, or fall behind our defensive reserves (Mackenize, Hansen etc.)
