Title: ROUND ELEVEN 2015 MATCH CENTRE
Post by: BB67th on June 10, 2015, 07:45:47 PM
ROUND ELEVEN - BYE ROUND

Hong Kong Dongs (1461) v Tibetan Llamas (1602)

Bangkok Crabs (1327) v Turkish Gazelles (1277 - 100 = 1177)

Mongolian Lambs (1730) v KL Crocodiles (1449)

Sri Lanka Strikers (1649) v Kathmandu Eskimos (1452)

Laos Elephants (1492) v UAE Tigers (1886)

Taiwan Dolphins (1108) v Vietnam Vipers (1432)

PNG Head Hunters (1641) v Manila Folders (1169)

Bangladesh Bears (2237) v Australian Ales (1831)

As with last year, the reserves comp will not run during the bye rounds. Enough teams will struggle to name a first XV as it is, so not too much point having reserves as well.

Tigers have a full team, I don't even think we have an XV.

Can we forfeit?

ggwp.

Are we allowed to play Fasolo in defence AND the forward line?

Maybe I'm just bitter because it's clear I'm destined to lose at least two of three games over the bye weeks (against 3rd and 1st no less) and even though I get it because this comp wants to be unique but I just don't understand how it's considered a good idea when some teams can't even field an XV.

I'm going to do some maths on you :P

22 x 18 = 396 AFL listed players who play every week.
396/16 = 24.75. On average the AXV sides have 24.75 players playing for them each week, lets round down to 24 per team which removes the 12 worst fantasy scorers each week (So majority of subs)

A third of the teams have a bye, so if a third of your 24 players have a bye each week then that = 16
And you only need 15 to play each week :D

But this is an average figure so obviously not true for everyone. I kinda like it this way though, it's cool 8)

We've got no rucks. Minson and Martin have the bye. Belly dropped and Daw, McKernan, Downie and Cox can't get a game.

Should be sweet in all other positions tho

Not gonna lie, I reckon you're unlucky on McKernan at the very least. With Belly dropped, I'm surprised the Bombers didn't pick him.

Oh well, an OOP will probably score more anyway  :P

I think this is our worst week, probably just be able to name a team.

Well, we've got 13, including 3 OOP. Need McKenzie and Goddard to make the Saints 22 to field an XV.  :(

Can't you just put two players in the utilities anyway so you only have 1 OOP?

I assumed there would be some stupid rule whereby the main positions had to be filled before the utilities, I suppose I should modify the post.

12 teams have been named, so far only 1 looks to be majorly struggling. So either we have a mostly level playing field this week, or the last four teams are in a lot of strife :P

ROUND ELEVEN - BYE ROUND

Hong Kong Dongs (1461) v Tibetan Llamas (1602)

Bangkok Crabs (1327) v Turkish Gazelles (1277 - 100 = 1177)

Mongolian Lambs (1730) v KL Crocodiles (1449)

Sri Lanka Strikers (1649) v Kathmandu Eskimos (1452)

Laos Elephants (1492) v UAE Tigers (1886)

Taiwan Dolphins (1108) v Vietnam Vipers (1432)

PNG Head Hunters (1641) v Manila Folders (1169)

Bangladesh Bears (2237) v Australian Ales (1831)

Here are this week's results. It was quite disappointing to see 3 teams not name a side this round. The next round starts on Wednesday, and the threads for it will go up shortly, so no excuses for not getting your teams in this week everyone!

Ladders should be up tomorrow.
