Title: WXV Trade Period 2
Post by: ossie85 on December 22, 2014, 11:44:22 AM

Hi guys, second trade period.

Will be open from when the Rookie Draft officially finished, all the way to the end of January 2015.

This draft is much stricter than the others...

Rules....
- Trades can only be done if it relates to some sort of issue from the positional changes (player loses DPP, didn't get DPP as expected, you now have too many players in position, etc). But it has to be the PRIMARY reason. Only 1 team needs to have an issue though.

- Only 4 player movements allowed, and they can only be 1 for 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3 or 4 for 4.

- You can't go over 30,000 points, and you can't go under 22,000 points. If you are already under 22,000 - you can't make a trade that makes you get even lower.

- No trading of future draft picks.

- I decide all these trades for this period. If 6 coaches object to my decision, they can PM me, and the trade will need to be renegotiated.

Might I suggest people who have players who didn't get dpp or lost it make a post here to let other coaches know their team could be one they cold trade with?

Also Is there a list of players that have lost/gained dpp anywhere?

Am I right in thinking that Everitt is somehow a mid/def even though he played mid/fwd all year?

Huge coup for us if so.

Yep correct, not sure how he kept def status.

Mexico City give: Drew Petrie + Jesse Lonergan
Berlin give: Daniel Wells + Matt McDonough

Reason for the trade is for team balance. With Lids, BJ and Christo all getting fwd status I've got too many fwds, so I need mid depth more than fwd depth, so that's why I'm trading Petrie for Wells.

Purps to confirm.

Team balance?

Is that a thing that you can use as a reason?

If so, bring on trades for everyone...

We could probably use another mid or two after a number of our fwds either lost or didn't get mid status as expected. I'm fairly sure that's a legit reason?

Happy to trade a fwd or a def (or both) to get a mid or two in. Should note we're more or less looking for decent/fringe mids with a decent chance of starting (for their clubs and subsequently in WXVs). If you can help, just shoot a PM my way. Cheers.

This trade period is strictly for DPP related stuff. Team balance is a perfectly acceptable reason. If JROO's got a million fwds thanks to DPP and only a few mids, then I'm fairly sure he can do that.

Well yep, because I got a few unexpected DPP changes and now I have too many fwds so I'd like more mids. I'm pretty sure Oz said this is fine. If it's not I've got another reason that can be used.

Team balance (getting 3 new forwards) is a fair reason.... (note this isn't me approving the trade one way or the other yet)

But we have some activity!

Confirmed.

The trade-legitimate reason is purely on JROO's side (one side is all that is needed), Petrie had a down year after some gun seasons, and tbh, even if he kept up an 80 average, he is in my best 4 forwards no dramas. I have heaps of forwards, but not much quality and that is what I'm getting with Petrie. I also have plenty of potentially starting mids, so I can afford to lose some firepower in Wells (a club champion, and an original brewer  :'() for another promising mid.

Losing McDonough was also surprisingly hard, as I originally drafted him and has been on my list for 2 seasons, but with my defensive depth, I doubt he'd get a game for me. He very well might have in a year or 2 though, but reckon Lonergan has got similar potential.

Approved.

Find the reason fine - the Suns now have a surplus of forwards.

Also find the trade fair - two oldies about even (considering positions) and 2 good potential youngsters.

If any coach has issue with this trade, please PM me. If 6 coaches or more are against it, the trade will fail.

Cheers Oz.

Don't worry Purps, Madonna is in good hands now  8)
Was hard to get rid of Lonergan, but it had to be done.
