Hi guys!
Trade rules:
- You can't go below 22,000 at any point in your trades
- Trades can be any combination of players and picks
- You can trade priority picks, picks in the first 5 rounds of the International Draft, first 2 rounds of the preseason draft and first 4 rounds of the rookie draft.
Start date: 1st September
Finish date: 11:59pm 10th November
Every Monday(ish) will put trades up for a vote.
List trades as:
- Team X trades player Y and pick Z to Team A for Player B and pick C
The other team must then confirm the trade.
Please just list and confirm trades here! All talk should go to this thread:
http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,98374.0.html
Trade Vote
Every coach needs to vote, missing 2 votes consecutively will result in A LOSS OF A DRAFT PICK. So have your assistants in order.
- 9 votes against and the trade fails
- 6-8 votes against and the trade fails, unless the Admin decides to let it pass
- 3-5 votes against and the trade passes, unless the Admin decides to let it fail
- 0-2 votes against and the passes.
You have a week to vote!

With our team getting older getting 2 first round picks and a couple others should help us future proof our team a bit. Definitely need young players coming through. Even risking our most valuable player, but means we can get the best youth possible.

Confirm.
Gives us a legitimate captain option to put next to Redden. Also banking on Lyons finding a new club and if he does I think he'll be a very solid fantasy player.
New York Give: Harley Bennell + Aaron Black + Will Hoskin-Elliott + Craig Moller
Dublin Give: Michael Walters + Josh Green + Pick 21 + Pick 39 + Pick 57
Gives us the forwards that we need desperately, Bennell a super pick up for an extremely strong Dublin, but for a classy Walters is definitely worth it.
Broken down it is Bennell for Walters + Pick 21, WHE swap with Green, Black for pick 39 and Moller for Pick 57

Pick 10 will be very handy in our other pursuits. Templeton another forward who, if fit will be a great depth forward. Anderson a good pick up for Seoul.

it has been done before... it's just if trade x fails then trade y auto fails.
note - only confirmed/posted trades in here doe bro... perhaps post questions like this in trade talk from now on
sorry ossie - please delete when you see this lol if you want
Yeah you can on-trade. Except if a deal before it gets negged, the next trade becomes nullified since don't have that pick. So go for it, just know that.

Perhaps the biggest trade of the night!!
Mainly Grundy was depth and could be handy for New York. Mora has potential and doesn't have too many points carried. If this goes through helps a low team + clears us of like 1.2k points :P.
OK, maybe I lied, another one for tonight. This one may cause backlash with one of the players we are trading.
New York Give: Courtney Dempsey + Scott Lycett
Tokyo Give: Dawson Simpson + Kurt Tippett
Dempsey is a depth defender and a great pick up for Tokyo, Lycett is a highly sort after ruck, who we said was not tradeable under any circumstances, but Tippett fully fit is one of the best players in the comp, we could not say no.
Very, very torn to see Lycett go but it is for the best.
Boomz to confirm.

Sad to see one of our top forwards in Tippett go but wanted a boost to our ruck & defence stocks so it's a win win for both of us.

Confirmed.
Walters is a big loss coming off a unsubbed 90+ season and has looked very impressive the last two weeks. But with only 6 mids and 3 of them 29 or older I need young mids to replace them and bennell is that long term replacement. Bennell could get DPP for 1 year which would be handy but long term will lose it. Green is showing good signs, but I have faith in Black and hope he bounces back after a terrible season. The picks are a loss given they are my first 3 but, WHE is showing good signs late and moller probably wont play for years but as shown this week having Rucks never hurts.

Both Chumps and I are happy with this one.
Seems pretty fair both ways - Vardy could be better than Blicavs if he gets his body right but it's a big if in our opinion, while Bennell and Lang balance out.
Lang we think will be better long term but Bennell is established in the Eagles team which works in his favour and is a defender which are scarcer than midfielders.

Dublin trade: Charlie Dixon + Jack Watts
Berlin trade: Dayne Zorko + Pick 12
Very tentative about trading Dixon as fully fit he is an absolute monster. 98.5 average last year unsubbed and high 80s this year. He is abit of an injury worry and Zorko is much safer in that regard, I do think he will slip next year with rich and redden back but hopefully not to low 80s like last year. Watts has shown glimpses of the reason i gave up Barlow for him. I still think he can come good under Roos but im alright letting him go for a decent pick.

It's a risky deal, no doubt. Best case scenario, Dixon doesn't get injured, and averages 90+, Watts reaches his potential and does like wise, and Zorko adopts his forward role with Rich and Redden in the team and goes back down.
On the other side of the spectrum, and just as likely, Dixon keeps getting injured, Watts continues to be frustrating and Zorko goes 110.
But, in my pursuit of forwards, I get two young ones with a lot of promise, not severely capped by their scoring by being a KPP. This one helps my team nicely. Pick 12 could have been handy... but likely not to draft an impact player in the next 2-3 years.

Toronto Trade: Ben Brown and NAT #50

Shame to see Brown go but I don't really need him as a ruckman with Ryder and Hickey so decided he would have more value at a club looking for a ruck.

Confirmed.
With us almost certain (and maybe the Tiges) to delist Orren Stephenson and the likelihood of losing Sam Rowe (currently F/R) to being a defender, we're a bit light on rucks. Mummy never plays a full season and unless Giles seeks a trade, we're not sure how many games he'll get for the Giants in 2015 (I reckon they'll start looking to use Lobb and co) and we also like to have 3 rucks so Brown fits the bill, pick 50 evens it out while we were seeking to trade Richard Douglas since Hanley should be a pure mid next year and we'll have better mid depth.

Dublin trade: Robbie Gray
Moscow trade: Dustin Martin
im going to regret this one, I took gray off the trade table after he averaged 142 over the 4 WXV final games this year. I think Gray will keep up his scoring after his first full preseason and about to enter his second and he definately wont lose DPP but im locking in the safety of Martin who despite scoring more than 10 less a week but he is a safety pick as he seems like he will keep posting around 100.
Pacific give: Phil Davis + pick 76
Cairo give: Michael Rischitelli + Matt Thomas
They needed a defender and to cut points off their cap, we get both of those done for them. Davis isn't a world-beater but he's a solid defender. Rischi and Thomas help solidify some mid depth for us.

Balla is a little ripper and adds to our forward depth (and maybe even a fringe-starter if he boosts his average a few points, which he is very much capable of). At 27 he still has much do unleash, has been a solid mid-70s average for half a decade but is looking better and better, kicking a lot of goals just has to pick up around the ground. The pick is nice too :D
Ceglar is a very talented young ruckman but tbh we didn't need him.

Aaron Black I rate and wanted to keep him but JB wanted him. Nat 12 is a loss but given im going for flags not worth the risk.

If Toronto is to take the next step, we need consistency from our players, and Mundy has proven to be a picture of consistency. Quite the opposite can be said for Ziebell. I felt it necessary to trade one of my North midfielders as I can't see Swallow, Greenwood, Ziebell, Cunnington and MacMillan all scoring well for Toronto week in week out.

Dublin give: Brodie Martin + Matthew Taberner
Pacific give: Matthew Scharenberg.
Reason: taking a huge gamble here, Scharenberg coming of foot surgery on both feet and just did his ACL but has great talent and costs me nothing in the Cap. Martin ended the season really well and broke into my starting 15 but I think I can survive without him and when Bob Murphy is gone hopefully Sharenberg is fit. Taberner fit in well at freo and lots of reports that he could be the forward they have been searching years for. But all up neither will be starting 15 players and im rolling the dice on Scharenberg.

All this drama going on and poor Beijing have been a tad forgotten. Davis and Dawes were potentially rotations starters for us (like PNL did with a few of their boys this year) and Beijing really need some decent defenders and forwards. Heath Shaw is a massive get for us, giving New York a much needed defender and he will be playing at GWS for years to come after signing a 5 year deal last year.

Big trade between Cape Town and Tokyo.
Cape Town gives: Zac Smith + Ben Reid + Nat 16
Tokyo give: Scott Selwood + Nat 9 + Nat 41.
Boomz to confirm
Our reasoning - we feel we were probably one premium midfielder away from a prelim this year so Scooter (who had a down year due to injury) is that missing puzzle piece.
We have to give up a future premo ruck and defender (if he can stay fit) to get him but the emergence of Stefan Martin means Smith was going to play second fiddle this season anyway and Higgins getting def means we can cover Reid's loss.

confirmed. Needed another ruck and scooter was the bait. Reid could be good and takes up little cap space
Confirming that one ^
Scooter to get back to a 100+ average again next year. Still only young too at the age of 24. It solidifies our midfield as JPK, Cotchin, Selwood and Dom Tyson providing the core of our scoring for the next 5 years.
Also posting this one up;
Cape Town give: Dale Thomas
Berlin Brewers give: Lachie Hunter + Mitch Honeychurch + Pick 48
Depth for the future has been highlighted as a serious issue for our team that needed addressing, so picking up two very handy young players for a 27 year old suits our needs. Hunter should keep M/F, unsubbed average only 5 less than Daisy and is only 19. Huge scope for improvement. Pick 48 helps account for potentially 10+ delistings we could be making soon. Honeychurch has got potential, and more importantly has a ripper last name, far superior to Thomas.
Geez it would be painful if daisy turns it on as a forward next year.

New York trade: Adam Treloar + Pick 24
With dan jackson retiring, I needed another mid, and why not go for a young gun? JJK and Duff leave with me some potential structural issues, that I hope to fix with Daisy, and another trade.
3 in 5 minutes!
Berlin trade: Jack Trengove + Pick 24 (from New York)
New Delhi trade: Leigh Montagna + Will Langford
Oh, my beloved Jack.... but I needed to get rid of some melbourne players. Monty is good for 2 more years and hopefully Langford won't be a tagger once Mitchell, Hodge and co retire.
Missed the boat for this week though Purps

With the Bennell deal falling through, we decided we could trade 1 of Bennell, Treloar or Macrae to get us much needed forward and defence options, so this trade provides us with much needed balance to our team.
Sad to see Treloar go, because the kid is a jet, but getting a defender and forward, while keeping the other 2 kids works out well for both teams

Think this deal is an obvious one. Joey has had a down season but at his best he's a premium player. Jack Trengove is highly rated but has had issues with foot injuries. An element of risk on both sides that's evened up by promising young player Will Langford for pick 24. Overall it helps with our rebuild getting in another high potential young midfielder.
Thanks Purps!
Beijing give: Pick #5 ID + Sam Naismith + John Butcher
PNL give: Matthew Jaensch + Clay Smith + Cameron Shenton
Gives us a much needed defender who will hopefully be able to back up his breakout 2014, plus a couple of depth players. Pick #5 was something we felt like we needed to let go of to improve our team in the short-term, while we also give up Naismith as a backup ruckman for PNL which they were after, and Johnny Butcher who will hopefully one day realise his potential for the Reindeers!
Hellopplz/DazBurg to confirm.

Confirm. Many deals involving Jaensch kept falling through :(. We're pretty happy with the above. Land #5 + another ruck with potential which we desperately needed incase Lobbe goes down. Clay and Shenton were depth for us but handy players when they play so can hopefully help Beijing out. Clay was excess since Mora arrived in Paris so didn't mind letting him go. We wish the Coaches Award winner Jaensch the best at his new team :).

Nat 12 is a loss but given im going for flags not worth the risk and green I like but unfortunately needs to go to get the deal done

Probably close to over the cap if not over now but have a few players going out soon so not too fussed. Frost will be a decent back up and will get better with age.

Confirmed.
We see Brad Hill going the same way as his brother by getting tagged when he becomes too damaging. Stew Crameri should improve on his poor average this year. Hopefully with the bulldogs acquisition of another key forward it will free him up a little and he can get back to the 83 average he had with Essendon. Brandon Jack's also shown a lot of promise; at the same age Kieran was a similar prospect, and if he can get anywhere near the heights of his brother we'll be happy.

Pretty straight forward here. We are trimming away fringe players to reduce our cap. Apeness should get an opportunity with Sandi getting on, and Sinclair gets a run for the Pies from time to time, but we would never field them so the picks help us reduce our cap and compensate accordingly for the two players

Both of the kids should get more of a crack in the future, but we just have no need for them. Pick 49 goes well with some of the other picks we have in the 40's too, giving us a good chance at snagging a diamond in the rough
Cape Town gives: Nat Pick 41

last few weeks have been enough to convince me whole heartedly that Ziebell will be a mid/fwd by 2016, if not next year, hence I'll be waiting until the positional changes are announced before trading him.
Another deal struck (shout out to Memph)
Cape Town give: Matt Crouch + Patrick Karnezis
Buenos Aires give: #4 + #54
Nails to confirm.
Although we think Crouch is going to be a fantasy star as shown by his average of 33 disposals in the SANFL this season, we think we can pick up a forward/ruck with pick four in this draft, (or a midfielder of equivalent value) and that's what our team actually needs for the future. Mids are easier to come across. Karni leaving is a little sad as I still have hopes for him.

While Matt Crouch is a good young player mids are not what Cape Town need. They definitely need fwds or rucks to develop in their team. They are able to chase this through pick 4. Also with Karnezis not being close to 22 reflected by the fact he couldn't get a single game this season I have a desire to pick him up with him being an ex-brisbane player. Could be delisted before the start of next season? Possibly.
Great to get both guys on board though helping our rebuild and adding points to the cap.

Dublin Give: Pick 12 + Pick 21 + Luke Delaney + Shuan Grigg + Sam Frost + Neville Jetta + George Hewett
Dillos Give: Dane Swan + Paul Chapman
absolutely killing my future here but I need a m7 and F5 to push for next year after my trade plans got ruined with negged trading. Certainly paying up for Swan and Chappy, feel Chappy has one year left in him I hope he can play during the world finals. Swanny has two years left but im hoping he can rebound to 100+ next year.
Like grigg has been disapointing after a 97 only 2 years back. Frost probably the biggest loss of the players as he is developing nicely as a KPP, went 75 in his first season i think he can get back there or better. Jetta Delaney two more defenders who i would have liked to keep. Hewett i think will be good but my time is now.

Actually the first trade I've posted this off-season I think :o 'Ere we go:

SaoPaulo Give: Chris Masten + Liam Sumner + Blaine Johnson + Nat 38
Reason: Well, we need points really really bad :P Also getting in some highly rated young kids for top picks isn't all bad and given our lowly position on the table, we can probably afford to have more patience with developing kids than Sao Paulo.

Basically I need to get rid of the points to get under the cap and felt that Masten was expendable from my mids. Sumner and Johnson both exciting young forwards, but I have a plethora of young forwards scoring well so happy to give them up :)

Dublin Trade: Michael Walters + N39
New York Trade: Harley Bennell
Reason: As I said last time I need a forward for 1 year than a mid from than onwards. I rate Walters as a young 90 average forward, Bennell I expect to be a better forward next year but than will lose DPP and I hope he can lift his scoring as a mid only. He needs to improve his bad games to do so but im hoping he can and hoping he can stay injury free as gets lots of niggles.
I actually think a straight swap is fair but im adding in pick 39 which is pretty decent.

Obviously a huge risk that Anthony will get delisted and/or retire considering he can't get games. But we're hoping he'll go to a new club or get reconsidered at North. I feel like we'll most likely lose this trade but if he returns to AFL we could be big winners.
If he does get delisted, hopefully it's before trade voting so this trade gets negged :P

New York give: Aaron Black + Pick #39 ID

Sad to see Rosa go as he had a very good season up until his injury but with Caddy likely to lose DPP we would be a bit short in the forward line so this trade strengthens that line for us. IM taking a punt on Sidey here as he had a career best year but hopefully he can come somewhat close to rocky. Murphy to Hurn helps my backline long term and wells will be a handy utility player for the next 2-3 years.
Saunders is a bit of a risk but hoping he can crack the saitns squad, the pikc upgrade is just to balance things out.

Needed the defender. Sad to see a true club legend in Wells leave (been here since the start, won the 2012 B&F and most consecutive games for us), but I have a surplus of mids, Wells has 2 more years minimum, could easily be 90 average, but might not be as well. I have to give up two of my better youngsters. Hill has shown he can be a good scorer, while Acres is a promising youngster who recently signed a four year contract, which shows how highly the Saints rate him. But I bring in two guns who should help my push for a Premiership next year. I just have to hope Boomer keeps DPP and Kelly gets DPP, otherwise I'm screwed :P

Dublin Trade: Dayne Zorko + Travis Boak + N12 + N21
Christchurch Trade: Rory Sloane + Jarryd Roughead
Reason: Sloane is an absolute superstar and anytime i can add a young 115 mid to my squad I will. Plays almost every game and will be part of my midfield brigade with Rocky and Selwood for a long long time. Roughead just keeps peforming year in year out, started slowly adjusting to the loss of buddy but was very very good to end the season. A little bit older than Zorko but i know what im getting frim him next year and thats 95+. Zorko is a big loss going 103 unsubbed this year but I dont know what he will do next year, could do anything from 85-105. Boak is the reverse he is just solid and i expect 105ish from him. I believe im getting an upgrade on both players but a really big upgrade with Boak to Sloane so paid up with the picks.

I'm happy to lose a 115 star player for a 105ish and a quality pick to add depth to the squad. Zorko is a rollercoaster but one I am willing to ride for the loss of a reliable forward gun, and the pick is a nice addition too.

Oh, we think Longer's gonna become a solid ruck for years to come. Needed some extra depth on that line and somebody to take over from Stef Martin when he bites the dust. Have enough mids to cover Guthrie who we think will be purely midfielder next season. Mccarthy's got solid potential too, will take time to develop but should be a terrific player in the future.
This way we turned:
ZSmith, Ben Reid, Cam Guthrie
into
Scott Selwood, Billy Longer, Cam McCarthy
Pretty happy with that tbh.
flower it, let's just post 'em.
NDT give: Ben Stratton
Cairo give: Jarman Impey
We ML is in love with Stratton and he's a best 22 defender for the Hawks who scores decently if we ever need him, NDT like their kids and Impey's a promising young defender with great potential. Pretty simply straight swap.
Elechet to confirm.
Cairo give: Sam Mitchell and Pick 33
Christchurch give: Nick Smith and Travis Colyer
Smitch is old and only has a year or two left but still scores pretty well, however the people in this competition have some weird as notion that age is not cool or something and nobody wants old players and Smitch gathered minimal to no attention when advertised. We also have Pick 31 so moving on 33 is no biggie. On the flip side, we need a decent D4 and Nick Smith is the perfect solution, only 26, best 22 at the Swans and good for a solid 75 avg. Colyer found a place and role in the Essendon 22 in the second half of the season and scored rather impressively so we're willing to back him in to continue that and if he does could even sit at I2 for us.
Double meow to confirm.

I'm not ageist and I know Mitchell will be a valuable contributor in the year or two that we have him, and I didn't have to sell the farm to get him. I'm low on mids so he helps out there. I think this draft is a strong one and I am happy to roll the dice on pick 33.

What Chumps said - the main reason on this one is because with Zac Smith gone we only had Stefan Martin and Mark Blicavs on our ruck line which was really not ideal.
We needed a young ruck which we planned to get with Pick 4 but when Longer came up we jumped at the chance. He should play a bit and be a back-up ruck for us next season and it means we can now think about taking another type of player at Pick 4 (that's not to say we won't take a ruck still :P #mindgames)
Guthrie will be good but we had an excess of mids.

Mexico give: Daniel Merrett, Ciaran Sheehan + Pick 62
Toronto give: Matt Shaw, Tom Bell + Picks 68, 86
Sad to see Sheehan go, as I brought him in for a reason, I think he's got a lot of talent. Merrett is also ok, with Patful gone he should go back to playing in defence, or could possibly move clubs which should see his scoring increase.
Shaw and a Bell should provide decent depth, though. The small pick upgrade helps even up the trade and 86 was chucked in for free because RB is a good guy 8)

RB to confirm.
Confirmed
Main reason of this deal was to grab Sheehan as I see him as the man to replace my very old defence, need a youngster who's shown a lot of talent and certain to be a defender next year, whereas Shaw has a bit of a question mark over his head whether he'll become a midfielder only, which would be pointless to me. Merrett joins the line of defenders possible to average 60-80, and as a result he'll probably get a few games here and there.
As for pick 86, well, what can I say. It's what I do.

Cairo trade: Pick 85

Pretty simple here. Downie is a GWS ruck and his chances of getting a game may have potentially risen thanks to Giles being traded to Essendon. Doesn't really hold much value at all considering he's played one career game and scored 27.

Confirmed. Was going to delist him anyway so I don't mind giving him away for next to nothing.
Cairo give: Jon Giles + Pick 60
London give: Andrew Mackie + 65
After the Nick Smith trade went through and we moved on Mitchell, we looked at our list and decided that another starting defender would be in order. After the trade above with meow for Downie, that gives us the GWS ruck set (assuming it passes) and gives us the flexibility to move on Giles who has now moved to the Bombers. Knowing that Ringo has Bellchambers, I approached him asking if he wanted Giles and offered Mackie, who perfectly fit our criteria, in return. The slight pick upgrade is because we have an earlier third rounder and don't mind moving five places back in the order, also taking into account the age and scoring ability of both Mackie and Giles.
Ringo to confirm.
Confirmed - With Sinclair staying at West Coast chances of getting a game are slim so need a back up and with Giles moving to Essendon will get games and will play when Bellchambers does not. We have ample depth in defence.
Also allows me to play both with Bellchambers a R/F.
Mexico City give: Mark Baguley, Matt Shaw + Pick 40
London give: Matthew Broadbent + Pick 83
I like Broadbent and even though he averaged around the same as Baguley, I need to get someone who's slightly younger.

Confirmed - Baguley will average the sam as broadbent for the next 2 years and Shaw who is much younger will add further depth. Think Shaw will benefit also with the introduction of Malceski.

Christchurch trade: Taylor Adams (sorry NDT), Dale Morris and pick 7
Dildos trade: Matthew Boyd, picks 8 and 26
Reason: I love Boydy. I think Adams is worth about pick 10-15, and I think Boyd with one season to go is worth pick 20ish maximum. So 20 + 26 = 10-15 and I am happy to get two players for the cost of one basically.

Confirmed.
Boyd is a good scorer but like Meow said only has one season left. Its tough to rebuild with a lack of players that people want so we got to get what we can where we can. We rate Taylor Adams and think he can do well in the absence of Beams next year and believe he will step up. 26 is there to make up for the fact that Boyd's age. Morris and the pick upgrade to even things out. Cheers Meow. :)

Dublin give: M.Scharenberg
Dildos give: D.Swan
Holz to confirm.
Alright well, obviously we are rebuilding. Swan will be 31 at the start of next season and is likely to have only two years maximum left which is close to useless for us considering we won't be in a our premiership window. Scharenberg is a highly rated youngster that will greatly help our defense. He went Pick 3 in WXV draft last year and is went Pick 6 in the National Draft. We rate Schaz higher than Swan given age however it is obvious that Swan is a proven premium despite being old and struggling this year. However we feel this is evened out as Scharenberg has done his ACL but is on track to play mid-season.

I really really rate Scharenberg and honestly if any of my trades should have got rejected it was the one that got him. As Vinny said he went pick 3 last year and I had him tied at pick 1 with Billings in my watchlist. The injuries are a concern but I have done a load of research on him and he looks primed to go in the second half of the season. This is a long term huge loss not only because Swan is old but Shaz has all the atributes of being a SC monster. Takes intercept marks and rebounds the ball and the pies need that.
Swan is a big risk, possibly more so than scharenberg droping to a 86 average this year. As an old school DTer he is the original pig so got to stick by my man and hope he isnt past it.

Basically, I needed another mid who can score well now, so that's why I'm after brining back Ebert to the club. I have to give up Hrovat, who I didn't want to. He will get DPP (M/F) and with Griff and Cooney gone, will play as a full-time mid and I think he's quite valuable. If Gilbert stats fit, there's no reason why he can't go back to an 80 average, so I had to give up two players I like.

Bews is kinda down the pecking order in our backline and somewhat at the Cats and is probably never gonna be a great scorer, we feel as if #51 should get somebody who could be as good as Bews.

Berlin trade: Reece Conca + Pick 66
New Delhi trade: Jordan Murdoch + Ben Sinclair
It's finally happened ::)
I have an abundance of mids, and not so many forwards, so this seems like the trade to do. Sinclair is just a little gamble I've decided to take. Murdoch is young and seems to be in Geelong's best 22, so I reckon it's one of the safer bets around for a young forward. I really think Conca can take a step up soon, it's just I don't really need him.

Thanks mate, yeh we sat on that one for a while. Just trying to improve our core group at NDT and Conca is quality
New York give: Will Hoskin-Elliott
London give: Pick 11 and Ben Lennon
We think this deal is perfect for both teams. WHE went Pick 4 in his draft, and is in GWS' best 22, but Lennon showed some class, is a forward, and although not in Richmonds best 22 we expect him to get much more opportunities. Pick 11 gives us a much needed first round pick now too
Both WHE and Lennon have a lot of upside, but WHE has the experience so Pick 11 makes the deal perfect for both clubs
Ringo to confirm
Confirmed
Although we hate losing a forward in Lennon needed to bring in some mid depth with the retirements we have had, Also with Elliott going forward there is also a chance of DPP which makes him attractive to the Royals. Believe with this trade we are getting a very sound option with our first round pick 11 as who knows who will be available at 11 on Hoskin Elliott is proven. Lennon evens the trade up and he is not assured of a starting position each week.

A good trade for both teams IMO. Really needed another defender with Everitt's impending M/F statues. When Savage went back there in the middle of last season he averaged 90 including a couple of handy big centuries so hopefully he can replicate that form throughout next season.
GHS looked really good for the Cats last year as a young mid to take over the reigns. Actually averaged 77 when not the sub and that was mixed in with a few tagging jobs/getting subbed in the third. Should improve.

Christchurch trade: Jack Gunston and Travis Boak
Dublin trade: Josh Green and Tom Rockliff
Reason: It's Rockliff. I don't expect him to keep his average up so high but he'll still provide a good captain option.
Why it is good for the competition: Dublin weaken their best XV. Currently have 75 averaging Walters at D4 and Green at D5. Now they have Gunston at D4 and Walters at D5. 15ppg and depth improvement there, but Rockliff down to Boak is a loss of equal proportions.

Reasoning: With JZ and Ryder
hopefully gaining forward status this year, I could afford to offload one of my existing forwards. Shame to see club stalward JRoo go, but Smith gives a slight ppg increase to the best XV, whilst Crisp has shown potential and adds midfield depth (which I don't have a whole lot of at this stage). The pick swap, whilst it may seem irrelevant will hopefully have it's purpose revealed soon.

We feel that one of players we want will still be available at Pick 5 so dropping back a spot in the first round to get a couple of later pick upgrades is a good deal for us.

Rio Give: N.Graham + B.Newton + N.Foley + R.Nahas
Dildos Give: K.Cornes + D.Hale
Reasoning: Cornes + Hale probably only have 1 year left each but I am happy to take a chance on them. Even though I think Newton + Graham will be great players in years to come. Foley + Nahas are Vin's much needed "spuds" but could perhaps provide some depth.
Confirmed.
This trade adds some much needed depth to the Dildos and helps out our midfield. I like Graham and there is chance of him getting DPP and hopefully Newton can get some games next season for the Dees after performing consistently in the SANFL. Foley and Nahas are purely for cap reasons and Foley will add some depth too for one season. Cornes and Hale both are likely to have 1-2 years left maximum so they are no use at all to us but depsite this, both are decent scorers. Thanks Levis, finally got it done man!

I like Jones, I think he can step up in Eski's absence but trading him gives me extra midfield firepower to replace Thommo.
Purps to confirm.
Mexico City give: Aaron Sandilands and Bryce Gibbs
Christchurch give: Tom Rockliff and Sam Gilbert
Reason: Rocky's 250ish ppg + 70 from Gilbert is worth the same as 210 from Gibbs and 110 from Sandi, but I think getting more ruck depth (even though Wilbur is the only ruck I need) + the fact that Gibbs never misses games makes this worth doing. Gilbert is as injury prone as Sandi so I don't mind swapping one injury prone bloke for another.

Rocky is a gun and even though I see him dropping to around 120, he still provides a captain option to go along with Sidey, which is much needed to comepete with Dublin.

Very big Zak Jones fan, and if he isn't the one to step up in eski's absence, he will when Rhyce Shaw retires. I give up some firepower in monty, which hurts, but I think Jones is at his lowest market value for many years to come.

New York give: Tom Liberatore and Harley Bennell
Dublin give: Travis Boak and Jack Gunston
As much as I love Libba, we feel that this trade is the right move for New York's future
Based on this years numbers, Libba and Bennell average 10 points per game more than Boak and Gunston, but we feel as though Boak has the potential to increase his average, and Gunston being a pure forward balances the trade out making it spot on fair for both clubs, because we expect Bennell to get DPP this year, but who knows whether he will maintain it beyond 2015

PNL Trade: #15 + Liam Jones + Tyson Goldsack + Xavier Richards
Dillos Trade: Dane Swan + #58
Reason: I rate the draft highly and Daz has known the guy I've wanted to take with 15 for like a month now. Have to let go of him if we wanted to land Swan. So we chucked them a high pick + a reliable D/F swingman in Goldy who's reliable and actually could be handy while Dillos go younger. Jones I rate with his contested marking and was hoping to see his improvements at Blues. Xav Richards also a promising youngster at Swans, and should feature in near future with their aging tall defenders.
Swan 31 next year so not going to last forever and Dillos going young. We need to make some sort of tilt for finals so went for Swan to help us out. Doubt he'll go back to his 110+ self but should still be pretty handy for us.
Cheers guys, confirm.
Been struggling to find a deal we like for Swan for a while, but finally got one. He has only two years left on his contract at that point we are confident he'll retire. Been on the decline but that was purely due to injury. We expect him to back to 100+ next season and really help PNL with their flag push.
Whilst it lets us draft another good young gun whilst adding some much needed depth to our side. Liam Jones and Goldsaxk will be decent depth in the future.
Scharenberg, Pick 3 in WXV, Pick 5 in AFL was rejected because Swan is worth far more. Because with Schaz' injuries he probably is worth about N10. The other players probably even it out to make what Swan is worth.

Tokyo trade: Luke Shuey and Ben Reid
Christchurch trade: Chris Yarran and Shaun Burgoyne
edit: better give a reason to keep the masses happy
Yarran out means I have to play spud in defense so my best XV loses 20 points, but Shuey over Scully in the mids makes up for it and I think he's more reliable than Yaz. Burgoyne will outscore Reid by 20 points but the age difference makes up for it, and I want Reid as a forward.

Confirmed. Sad to see Shuey go as I reckon he will go 105-110 next season but needed defenders and Yarran should be handy and Burgoyne will hopefully still get def status otherwise he will help cover the loss of Shuey in the middle anyway. Rate Reid and think he'll go 75+ next year now that he is getting fit again and with DPP he should be a good gain for Christchurch.

I love Kade, and has been the rock for our defence. Hodge is possibly falling a bit but is still solid enough so don't mind grabbing him along with #32 for the downgrade from a reliable Kade. Kade probably also will help in Mexico's search to compete with Dublin as well more than Hodgey. Moller a fair way off playing for Freo while JRoo could use a forward so Butcher is still on the list, so why not have a swap for them :P.

Pav gives the security I need in case Ziebell and/or Ryder don't get the fwd DPP I've planned for, and the doubt that hangs over Robbo's head makes me hesitant to have him locked in as my 4th forward. Pav allows me an extra season (assuming that's all he's got left) to suss out all these variables. Shame to downgrade club champion Johnson but had to be done to land Pavlich
Berlin trade: Jason Tutt, Nathan Wilson + Pick 81
Buenos Aires trade: Daniel Cross
Just grabbing some midfield depth. IT IS NOT BECAUSE HE IS A DEMON EITHER! I asked for Kane Cornes first before I realised he was already traded :P Tutt is an unknown, and Cross will be of more use to me than him. Wilson and Pick 81 is just bridging the gap.

Toga has been keen on Jonas all trade period so I glad a deal finally got done. With a lot of defensive depth I saw it as an opportunity to improve my midfield stocks with Mitchell, and hopefully Schade can replace Jonas in time. Was worried about time when posting before but our reasoning is simple. I rate Marsh and Karpany over draftees we'd get there at 52 - year in the system each and Marsh is rated highly (plus Swans defence is ageing) while Karpany is something the Eagles don't have a lot of (small, skilful forward).

Better give our reasons for this. Big ZClarke fans here and feel we are getting a fwd/ruck with premo potential, especially with Sandi only having a year left. The NDT fwd line was our biggest concern and this suits our structure. Giving up CPearce knocks our backline, but even though scoring wise it isn't great yet, it is one of our stronger lines in terms of depth. And Basti should bounce back this year but whether he can be an elite scoring mid is another question.
Basically getting in ZClarke suits our structure a hell of a lot more for 1-2 years down the track.
We also now have most of Freo's young tall fwds with ZClarke, Apeness and Hannath should all get fwd/ruck status.
I'll give all the reasons tonight fellas.

Pretty much Chappy has one year left averaged 96 but still should crack 90+ next year. But he will no doubt be managed and won't play 22. As you can see not many people were willing to pay for him. So we had to get what we could.
Neade has a decent potential and Bewick might get DPP and is decent cover. Hopefully we can turn that into something. We also get N41 which we rate as I like the NAT draft this year. Would have loved to have traded Chappy last year when his value was higher but this is just how it panned out.

Petrie is like 32 and has a down year but that was due to a poor start. Despite his age, he has been one of the most consistent SC KPF forwards of the last 5 years. He finished the year with 149, 98, 112 and 86. On top of that, in the finals he had: 94, 109 and 86. He will only benefit from the inclusion of Waite too. We reckon he will be good for a 90+ average next year and will provide great rotation for Mexico with Pavlich.
Lindsay Thomas & Sam Gilbert both are young and are decent enough. As well as some extra depth we are receiving.

I've told you like 10 times, I've traded Pav ::) :P
If Gilbert stays fit I think he can score well, the others I'm not so sure about.
Haha woops.
Well yeah you were being a tight ass. :P

I know :P
But I don't think Petrie will go at 95+ next year, like you.

Mexico trade: Lindsay Thomas, Sam Gilbert, Sam Siggins, John Butcher
Dillos trade: Drew Petrie, Darcy Byrne-Jones
JRoo to confirm.
I'll give reasons tomorrow but there's the trade. Sorry guys I gotta get up early. :P
Cheers J!
Confirmed. Need a fwd with Pav gone. Hopefully Petrie can get back to 95+ next year! like Vinny thinks he will :P

Sounds to me like Vinny wants Pav and Petrie to be together...c'mon, trade Drewy over to Toronto :P
Buenos Aires must have been ancient if they class 28 year old Gilbert as young.
We were and the fact that we got no other offers for Petrie.

Compared to Fletcher, everyone is young!
Christchurch trade: Tom Rockliff and Sam Gilbert
Mexico City trade: Aaron Sandilands and Bryce Gibbs.
I'm not changing it. Whoever negged has surely seen the light after my analysis.

Yeah confirmed. I'm happy with it.
Okay, here's the revised trade.
Cairo give: Mackie + N53
Rio give: Thompson + N10
The 4 coaches who negged it thought too much was being given for Mackie, Oss wants us to add a pick or something to even it out. The way I see it is that Mackie should have probably 3 years left and will score well in that time, our D4 position isn't that strong at the moment, but because we're not an immediate premiership threat, a young, best 22 defender boosts our options long term (also assuming Hanley loses DPP for 2015 but regains it in 2016 and moves back to defense for us - so BSmith, Hanley, Mackenzie, x - Thompson, McGovern, Rowe etc). The pick (N53), if used well, in this year's draft pool should pick up a pretty decent player capable of forging a decent career and is every chance to be as good as Rory Thompson who is a KPD who probably will never average more than 70 in his career. Imo, too much is no longer being given by Rio as N53 balances it out.
Levis to confirm.

A revised trade here, between Mexico City and Christchurch
Mexico City give: Bryce Gibbs, Aaron Sandilands
Christchurch give: Tom Rockliff, James Sicily
Replacing Sicily for Gilbert, as worth less and Christchurch need defenders, in order for this trade to pass.
M2 to confirm.

Only a fool would argue with Os, Holz and UTM. Am I a fool? Sometimes. But not this time.
Mexico City give: Ben Lennon, Lindsay Thomas, John Butcher, Dylan Addison, Daniel Pearce
Buenos Aires give: Blake Acres, Drew Petrie, Darcy Byrne-Jones, Paul Stewart + Picks 70, 81
Basically, I'm downgrading Lennon to Acres which hurts as I don't have a lot of young forwards. Lennon averaged around 95DT in the VFL this year, which is pretty good, compared to Acres' 70 odd. But Acres should get more games next year and I rate him very highly.
That's why I get an upgrade of Thomas to Petrie, and the rest are just a swap of spuds, although I think DBJ can be a good player for the Power, long-term.
Vinny to confirm.
Confirm.
The main part of the deal is: Lennon, Thomas FOR Acres, Petrie.
Lennon > Acres
Petrie > Thomas
We need a forward more than we do a midfielder as Acres isn't going to start for us and we got enough midfield depth. I really like the look of Lennon and DPP will be gold. Acres should be great for Mexico in the future as he just signed a four year deal. The rest is just an exchange of spuds that suit each teams depth needs etc.
Thanks J.
Acres > Lennon :P
And done
Hope to send out votes tomorrow
