If Dillos win it will set up Rhythm Cup number 6!
I've gone the season long favourites, however, would not surprise me to see the in form Cape Town or the star studded, capable of massive scores Spetsnaz get up.
Not sure who I want to win.
I think I rule out Cape Town since they always beat us.
Not happy with JROO beating me in successive weeks (Worlds last week, AXVs this week).
So it's down to Moscow and the Dillos, there's a couple of Cairenes at the Dillos and the poor things need a premiership before their fossils set up a retirement home. :P

Carn the Cobras!!!
We're hitting form at the right time of year.
Got some selection dilemmas now with Hill, Gwilt and a few others going well but not in the best XV this week.

If I played the same team the next week, Tuck and Adams replaced by Vickery and Seedsman as they were out, we would have scored 159. Dusty had 137 as opposed to 25, Heater 122 instead of 37, Griff and Fyfe 114 and 122 instead of 78, Thomas 129 not 74...

Unfortunately don't think my Jaguars will win this round. With Roughy getting suspended just makes the reserves side even weaker. Two weeks ago had been pumping out 120's for about a month and now will be lucky to crack 50 I reckon...
We have 4 players notching up 50 games this match (very large number given only 4 matches!)
Buenos Aires have 3 (Cox, Barlow and Petrie) and this will be Cox's last match unless the Armadillos defeat Moscow, who have the other player in Heppell.

A replay of the 2012 Grand Final, but the Suns will be heavy favourites despite the strong recent form of the Cobras.
Suns have a 4-1 record overall, but in finals it is 1-1. An underrated rivalry this one, and the 3rd time they meet in finals. Can the Cobras fairy-tale continue? The Suns can't let another Minor Premiership slip.

A common perception is that the Armadillos are fading, and the Spetsnaz are rising.... But the last 5 weeks and both teams have been on par with each other, and Moscow are lucky to even be here winning on home advantage last week!
A rivalry highlighted by a close Qualifying Final win to Buenos Aires last year! But the pressure all has to be on the Armadillos, who with an aging list, need to make a run for the flag now.

Missing so many depth players. Fletcher, Seedsman, Thomas, May, Vickery, Ceglar...pretty sure we only have one player outside the 18 named playing, and he's a rookie :3
So I guess with my reserves playing this week I should name senior side to show who would be in my reserves (not that there's many...)
Houli, Harwood, Buntine, Silvagni
Sloane, Zaharakis, Hartlett, Hill
Jacobs
Gunston, Wright, Smith, Stringer
Minson, Masten
E: Polec, Paparone, White
Which I guess leaves my reserves side looking like this...
White
Polec, Jacobs, Riley, O'Rourke
Paparone, Kersten, Wood
Only 7 players. Going to get slaughtered!
Thank god the ressies have the week off this week, Young, M.Shaw, Hall, White and M.Shaw all out this week at Toronto :o

Doesn't do us much good this round but our Beijing boys scores tonight were H.Taylor (132), J.Caddy (140 and J.Thurlow (51 from a quarter). The future! 8)

So I guess with my reserves playing this week I should name senior side to show who would be in my reserves (not that there's many...)
Houli, Harwood, Buntine, Silvagni
Sloane, Zaharakis, Hartlett, Hill
Jacobs
Gunston, Wright, Smith, Stringer
Minson, Masten
E: Polec, Paparone, White
Which I guess leaves my reserves side looking like this...
White
Polec, Jacobs, Riley, O'Rourke
Paparone, Kersten, Wood
Only 7 players. Going to get slaughtered!
^ approved!

Missing a few guys who would normally be there so hopefully the team does okay.

Mexico City Suns are easy....
.... which leaves Port Morseby....

Right, didn't think about the emergencies.
Also for Port Moresby... Gibson's a mid, not a defender?

Fixed, God they have a rubbish team :/
So Moscow and Buenos Aires still has a long way to go...
But Mexico City (2/217) v Cape Town (4/225) looks almost over already :/ but only takes a Sidebottom injury to even things out
After last night's game
Americas 0/0 vs Asia 4/443 (C)
Africonia 1/117 vs Europe 2/170 (VC)

Luckily Chumps used the sub rule, or it could've been even worse.
Stef Martin now the captain.

How exactly is the sub rule incorporated considering Monfries was a late out?

The sub rule only works for subs Torp, they're the guys who wear the green and red vests.
I'm pretty sure you just get Sheed OOP since Simpkin is already covering Ellard as sub.
Not quite, they keep ellard score cos they don't have a forward to replace him

Cobras dream Over, Suns Travel to Ireland
Disappointed that Cape Town lost, solely because I had some Ireland snake jokes :P
Anyhow, the Mexico City Suns were its usual impressive self (well more so actually), and now set up a huge match against Dublin. Most thought the Suns/Destroyers would contest the Grand Final!
Cape Town meanwhile should be proud of its 6th placed finish.

Moscow embarrassed, Buenos Aires set up Rhythm VI
Moscow had a shocker, as they ran out of puff with a horrible run of injuries.
Buenos Aires makes its 3rd preliminary final in a row... can they go a step further?
Buenos Aires Armadillos (22.14.146) defeated Moscow Spetsnaz (17.14.116)

Best
Alexandria: N Gordon, J Laidler, J Cripps
Rio de Janeiro: T Armstrong
ALEXANDRIA progresses to a PRELIMINARY FINAL
RIO DE JANEIRO finishes 6th
Europe had 11 of 15 in the best... you can't do too much better than that. Pretty rapt that Africonia went 150+.
Also good to see the Hieroglyphics get up. 8)
Pretty disappointed with the score, but there was no chance I was pushing 170+, especially with Kennedy going down. Happy to have made it to finals, and through the first round to be honest!
Seedsman, Monfries, Vickery, May, Hogan, Thomas missing from best XV, Ceglar and Fletcher also missing from fringe
Simpkin and Ellard subbed
Jenkins and Frawley in the 30s
O'Meara, Dunn, Clarke, Dusty well below average
Two out-of-position players
What is this shower
Unlucky Jukes.
Go Dillos!!
What did I say, Captain. Heppell. :P Well we've got a decent first rounder and hopefully will be improved on the trading table.
Good luck in the grand final Pumas.

Interesting enough Dublin went 177 this week with HGA.
a little annoyed i have the Suns as they are the toughest competition, just hope I can keep pumping out big scores.
