Which player on your list deserves special mention?
Can be for any reason! Doesn't have to be the best player in the competition!
Last year's winner was PNL's Chad Wingard!
One nominated player per team!
Luke Parker for Tokyo
Ben McGlynn for the Magpies
Came to the squad cheap as chips for Dawson Simpson, then became a dominant forward of the competition increasing his average by 24 points a game. Going into the year I expected him to be a solid performer in the ressies but I was wrong as he kept Balla in the ressies and pumped out consistent big scores all year.
I'll nominate Chris Yarran for the Suns.
When I first joined Maca as an assistant, my first job was to bring Yarran to the Suns. We needed up trading him for LeCras as we needed to get someone younger in there and I thought he would be a chance for D/F DPP. It was risky though, Yarran averaged 66 last year, compared to Lecca's 83.
With Bartel and Lewis losing FWD status, we needed Yaz to step up. He did, averaging 87 (90 unsubbed) to become one of our top forwards and even outscored LeCras.
Callum Sinclair!
For those who don't know, I had a unit at uni with him last semester. General good bloke and funny guy.
Pumas will nominate Devon Smith. Many said that what was lacking from the Pumas was a quality F4 after Walker made the move to the defensive end. But Devon has stepped up immensely this year upping his average by 15ppg and proven himself to be up the standard of any F4 in the league. Just love his hard at it approach, never giving an inch to the opposition!
Seems like a legit nomination Jukesy.
And Wingard <3.
Tom Liberatore for New York.
Continues to make the jump from being a brilliant young talented player to an out-and-out gun. Coupled with the responsibility of Captaincy he couldn't have done much more this year.

We'll put forward the club's 50-gamer Nick Malceski.
In his time with the club, he's been Mr Reliable. Super consistent and (co-)captain option. He's certainly the general of the Cairo defense and we'd have certainly struggled more than we did without him. There were a few other candidates, but Eski and his luscious beard is probably the best candidate.
Honourable mention to our wonderful ruckman Shane Mumford who abandoned us in a time of need because of back soreness. :P
Here is our quad of 28 for the All-Worlds! Will send out a vote later
Cairo, just to rub salt in the wound, comes away with the most nomination (5), followed by Dublin with 4. Berlin, Seoul and Moscow have 3 each.

Some stats, comparing ladders from 2013 to 2014
Movement in Ladder Position
The Reindeers have moved up 8 spots in one year! With the almighty Destroyers not far behind with a 7 place jump. Cairo suffered the biggest decline (4) spots.
8 Paris Nice Lyon Reindeers
7 Dublin Destroyers
3 Wellington Warriors
1 Tokyo Samurai
1 Toronto Wolves
0 Beijing Thunder
0 Seoul Magpies
0 Mexico City Suns
0 Sao Paulo Pumas
-1 New Delhi Tigers
-1 Buenos Aires Armadillos
-1 London Royals
-2 Pacific Islanders
-2 Cape Town Cobras
-3 Berlin Brewers
-3 Moscow Spetsnaz
-3 New York Revolution
-4 Cairo Sands
Change in Score
On average, and I'll put this down to the new rules in place, each team improved by about 2 points per week.
Dublin has improved by a huge 17 point margin, while Wellington and Beijing have also showed strong improvement not necessarily reflected on the ladder. At the other end, London and New York were in decline.
17 Dublin Destroyers
12 Wellington Warriors
10 Beijing Thunder
8 Paris Nice Lyon Reindeers
5 Cairo Sands
4 Pacific Islanders
3 Seoul Magpies
2 Tokyo Samurai
1 Mexico City Suns
1 Berlin Brewers
0 New Delhi Tigers
-1 Moscow Spetsnaz
-1 Sao Paulo Pumas
-2 Cape Town Cobras
-3 Buenos Aires Armadillos
-4 Toronto Wolves
-6 New York Revolution
-8 London Royals
Number of Wins
As you'd expect given the above!
6 Paris Nice Lyon Reindeers
4 Dublin Destroyers
2 Wellington Warriors
1 Beijing Thunder
1 Tokyo Samurai
1 Buenos Aires Armadillos
0 Pacific Islanders
0 Seoul Magpies
0 New Delhi Tigers
0 Sao Paulo Pumas
0 Toronto Wolves
-1 Mexico City Suns
-1 London Royals
-2 Berlin Brewers
-2 Moscow Spetsnaz
-2 Cape Town Cobras
-3 New York Revolution
-4 Cairo Sands
Based on these stats and other factors, I nominate the following 4 coaches for 'Coach of the Year'
Hellopplz (and his Assistant DazBurg) for PNL. The Reindeers finally clicked this year, zooming up from 13th to 5th on the ladder, improving its score by 8 points per week and notching up 6 wins. They are both passionate, and DazBurg is clearly the best assistant in the competition in my opinion.
Holzman for Dublin. The Destroyers have recruited masterfully after finish last only 2 years ago. They will now start favourites for the Flag this finals series, going from 9th to 2nd, increasing average by 17 points and winning 4 more matches.
Master Q and Toga for Beijing. Perhaps a controversial choice? They finished 2nd last last year, and 2nd last this year. But a 10 point increase in average, an extra win and well and truly a better run team. The Thunder are in good hands.
pothead for Wellington. Perhaps another controversial choice? But despite still being in the bottom 4, Wellington have increased its average by 12 points (2nd only to Dublin) and are a far more competitive outfit (just ask Cairo and Berlin who both contribute missing finals to this team). From 18th to 15th in one year is a decent result.
Sincere apologies again to Nails and Honey Badger (who I've left of the list... AGAIN), but statistically your teams haven't improved. Also apologies to JROO8, with the Suns improving by a point per game despite dropping a win, but JROO8's minimum involvement in preseason trading makes it hard to judge.
I daresay the other coaches will show plenty of spite when selecting the All-Worlds team and not select any Cairenes... just to piss me off.
Bloody awesome stats oz.
Somewhat surprised to see my scoring output increased, just imagine if I had my full strength team play half the year.

All good os. As you said my team hasn't improved this year, but hard to do when you are one of the top teams for the first 2 years. Also doesn't help when half your back line is missing for most of the season!! Still scored the third most amount of points for the year :)
I'm sure if PNL made the 4, probably would get the CotY award but hard to take it from Holz with his team :-X.
Nice stats Oss! Good to see PNL up there for the jumps in everything :D. And yeah, Daz is an awesome assistant 8).
Good to see pot got some recognition. Goes about his job quietly but did a good improving the Warriors.
despite having alot of good players, clear standout at Dublin.
Tom Rockliff,
lifted his average from 110 to 128 to become the second best player in the competition at only 24.
Ollie Wines is an easy pick for us. Really lifted his game to the next level this year (as expected) and has handled the captaincy very well.
I'd also like to say well done to the Warriors, I think they made some good progress alongside us this season :)

Excellent nomination.
I'll nominate
Dom Tyson. Came to the club cheap as chips last trade period after he played only 3 games in 2012 averaging 44, but has since become one of the first names on the Cobras team sheet averaging 93 over 18 games, including scintillating highs of 159, 138, 136 and 122. At just 21 years of age, he's set to be an absolute superstar for the franchise.

Have to second this! Wines has been a clear standout for us as captain of the team in just his second season after last year's captain Matty Kreuzer went down with a serious injury early in the season, and Harry Taylor down on form for most of the year.
For Toronto it has to be Rhyce Shaw, after coming to the club for biscuits at pick 80 in last year's International Draft, Shaw has secured a starting spot in Toronto's defensive 4 this season, with a healthy average of 82.38 when taking out his injured game. Not to mention 5 tons from 13 completed games. Also just pips Spangher for best beard at the club!
Had a good long think about this one, and I think I'll give it to Paul "Duffman" Duffield.
Was in my team in 2012, traded at the end of the year to secure Jack Steven, then traded back to me at the end of last year, with a mere 2013 80-average.
Not only has he increased his average to 92 this year (including 8 tons), he is one of two players to play every game for me this year, so he did not let me down once when I needed him playing the most.
Thank you Duffman!
Still can't guarantee you won't be traded though
go the reindeers :D
thanks for the complement for best assistant Oss i'm honored to hear you say that
though i think HP makes life easy for me so makes me look good ;)
We're gonna throw up a little left-fielder here!
Will Langford
Going into the season, we knew we were very light on in defence, so when this kid popped his head up during the preseason with some huge scores, Rico and I really started to take notice. Will was consistently our D4 and was the only player back there we could bank on for the occasional great score, highlights including scores of 80+ in rounds 6, 8 and 19 as well as a 95 in round 11.
Langford was very very close to being delisted but we're stoked our decision to hold has paid off. He's one shining light in an otherwise depressing year for NDT and someone we have very high hopes for. We love the way he goes about his footy with more than half of his ball won in contested situations and consistently racking up big tackles numbers, Will Langford gets our coaches award nomination for really lifting his game to the next level and filling the role we needed him to.
I thought I would be the one to through in one from left field but you guys beat me to the punch.
From the Royals I would like to nominate Dane Rampe
Ossie will correct me if wrong but pretty sure Rampe has played every game this year for the Royals after debuting late last season and playing minimal games.
He has really locked down a position in the Royals Defence and is one of the first picked each week. He has lifted his ppg by 18 and is a worthy nomination from the Royals. Has tonned up three times with another three scores above 85. Good return from a second year player.
Was putting off this but had to do it eventually.
PNL Reindeers nomination for this season is Matthew Jaensch! Coming to us with #45 in the International Draft, he has lifted his game to another level this season. He has not only lifted his average by roughly 33 points from last year, he is also playing more games than he is missing! We only brought him in to serve as depth, but he has stepped up and has kept the likes of Marley Williams, Jackson trengove, Luke McPharlin and Heath Grundy out of the side. Of course nothing flash but they are mostly 70+ averaging backs. Jaensch arrived at the club knowing he would have to lift his game otherwise he'd be stuck playing for Marseilles most weeks, but he did so in fine fashion. He has scored 9 tons over his first 19 games and has helped PNL push themselves on the edge of a top 4 spot.
Who knew missing out on Anthony Miles 3 picks earlier wasn't all that bad?

Read it - "I'll get back to that later"
10 votes in, 8 to go :)
13 in, 5 to go...
The All-Worlds team is taking shape nicely
The Rising Star is incredibly close... with 3 votes separating the top 3, and a 4th not too far behind that. The last 2 rising stars were very clear cut, so its good to see some disagreement
Coach of the year is neck and neck also...
While the Coaches Award has a clear leader atm!

And voting over, with New Delhi, Buenos Aires and Wellington not submitting votes.
