super cheap. yes inconsistent. he looks like a new player with tippet there. thoughts?
I'm getting on, risky but could pay of big time.
Had him from the start and its been one hell of a rollercoaster

hold on its not over yet
I reckon you can afford to take the risk on him if you already have Danger, Parker, Gray & Martin. If you already have KPF premiums like Pav, Roughy & Nroo, its probably a bit risky bringing another KPF into your side unless its as bench cover that you can loophole.
Not for me, I don't trust Key forwards one bit, unless you're talking about Nroo.
How's trusting Nroo going for you Spudaroos?

Don't have him in my team, he will be in my team sooner rather than later.
There's no way I'm going anywhere near NRoo. He's been disgustingly inconsistent
Let's not resort to name calling, guys. Particularly with terms that are derogatory and bigoted. I've deleted posts and edited out the offensive word in question. Back to the footy talk now.
Spuddy's not for me.
Buddy could be a bit of a POD for you Ando. I'm guessing you're trading him for Faz?
He's a risky pick though, as he always seems to miss games and is prone to a stinker. But for now I think he could be acceptable at F6.
To add a response that's actually helpful, I'd be bringing him in this week if I didn't already have him. He looks to be hitting some tremendous form.
I'll be bringing him in this week - Cheap, Looks good with Tippett in the side, High ceiling
sydney looks like they are back to their best and with the inclusion of tippett buddy looks like he has his SC friendly role back and isnt just a marking forward. The only question marks is can he score at the small SCG, we all know on bigger grounds he can go big. Also he has struggled so far in the wet, coming into winter is this something we should be worried about.
In any matter i expect him to be up and down but will put out those big gmaes to average 95+ from here on and at his price looks a good pick. I cant get him this week but have gone goddard over fyfe so I can bring him in the week after if he goes good again.

how many of your top 10 competition have him?
Guys I have been going back and forth all week with my trades which involve Buddy and Bartel.
My first trade is locked in Langford > Bews but I just can't decide between getting Bartel or Buddy in.
Its either Langdon > Bartel and backline would be complete -
McVeigh, Hibberd, Simpson, Bartel, Swallow, Enright (Gardiner, Bews)
Or
Ambrose > Buddy and forward line complete -
Dangerfield, Martin, Roughead, Wingard, Zorko, Franklin (Lennon, Cameron)
If I don't get Buddy in then Lennon is my F6 with Ambrose and Cameron on the bench and $123,000 left over in the kitty.
If I don't get Bartel in then Langdon is my D6 and I'll have $39,000 in the kitty.
WTF do I do? :'(
Make a decision

I'd much rather have Langdon on the field then Lennon, therefore I would go for buddy. I'm in a very similar situation with Lloyd in my forward line.

Yep, I'd do the same thing for the same reason. Langdon has an easier draw over the next few weeks, so wouldn't be the worst idea to keep him a bit longer.
To be honest Ando I dont see why you would take the risk. You are ranked 1st and can afford to just play it safe from here on in. Let those of us trying to catch the pack take the risks and stuff them up :P

Yeah think I will go with Buddy.
Just wanted a few peoples views and what they would do.
Really don't trust Lennon/Cameron/Ambrose at F6.

I'd love it if Langdon could pump out a few more 100's so I could sideways trade him to Bartel. ;D
I like the buddy move and am in the same situation with either finishing my forwards or going the other way and finishing my defence.
Im thinking of making the bold move of bringing buddy in but I have to completely agree with Quinny in that u don't need to be taking any unnecessary risks.
leave the risks to the pack. If lonergan is named this week maybe let the buddy move slide thru for at least a week
His record against Geelong is very poor. Against the Power and Suns, however, it's very good. Maybe waiting a week is the right move?

I'm waiting a week on Buddy, if he scores a 60 then he should only increase by 17k. In saying that he's the type of weapon that could easily propel one up the charts.
He will probably struggle to get his B/E against the Cats :P
I agree though, I'd be inclined to wait a week, have 1 more look at him against quality opposition, if he does dominate then jump on. You might pay an extra $20k but at least you would be sold on him
Buddys inconsistent scores not too much of a worry at the price. Every player has a stinker or 2. Also Buddys ceiling is huge & his SC history is good to excellent in the last 5 years. My main concern would be injury/suspension.
What idiot started this thread anyway?
Oh him.
I'm on.

What if you just look at the last 18 months? Is it still good to excellent? I actually don't know but I'm staying away. I think his price is probably a fair reflection of his performance over that period. Sure you could gamble on a significant improvement and it might pay off. And I can definitely see he would be a great luxury as a loophole player for the rounds that it fitted in with your bench cover Fwds. Actually I may have just talked myself into the gamble after all.
Lock him in boys, the Swans are about to get on an even bigger roll
I am just not sold on Buddy, even at his generous price. It is a risk to bring him in, and a player like Parker/Dahlhaus/Gray (whom I am choosing between) don't present such a risk up front as they are averaging 100+ and offer consistency.
I just feel like if I buy in to Buddy because he is cheap that I will pay the price in consistency, but with risk comes reward and he may score big?
I don't think at this time of the year, where I need to make decisions for the long term, that I can take the risk with him.
It's a no from me.
Seems like he's back in form. Definitely the addition of Tippett has helped him gain his groove. With a BE of 49, he's not going to get any cheaper. Time to get him now or never
Lonergan had his measure whilst he was at the Hawks so I was reluctant to consider him this week. Lonergan out now.......hmmn decisions, decisions.
I'm definitely on now.
-Looks great with Tipett back in the side.
-Imagine he converted more that night he kicked 2.7! Him getting that much ball is a good sign
-No Enright/Lonergan this week makes the Cats defence even weaker.
-405k!
Only risk is him getting injured but at his price I'll take that risk.
Got on him at 397k with the intention of him going 100+ for the rest of the year, key was Tippet back combined with Sydney's great form. His small scores this year have come with no Tippet and in pouring rain/playing or getting injured.
If you didn't jump on last week, he is a no brainer this week!
everyone has a hard on for buddy all of a sudden, i was thinking of going wingard instead

I've thought about Wingard but he seems to need to score goals to score points now - He doesn't seem to be getting the mid time he was last year

you are correct, thats my only hesitation about getting him
Mackie and Taylor are both still in the side, they can do the job on Buddy. I read Chris Scott said the Blitz might go to him, if that is the case then expect him to go big.
Wingard's highest score for the year is 104 - don't understand the hype. If he was less than 400k then maybe, but not at current price
I'm not rushing to get Buddy either, will only go up 20k or so this week anyway
I'm jumping on. Hope he goes 170! I need a break this year. On second thoughts he can bubble away on about a ton a week for a month, then start going big when everyone's fwds are full! ;D

idk i just rate him and reckon he is gonna start killing it soon. just a gut feeling.... ports easy draw cant hurt
