After the chaotic bye round and the North South Challenge round we return to Normality this week with our Round 9.
Round 9 (AFL Round 11 May 29th to June 1st)
1. Bradford Badgers v Birmingham Dragons @ Bradford Village
Should be a win to the Badgers here
2. Newcastle Falcons v Crosby Cruisers @ Chester-le-street Oval
Falcons should win this one but Cruisers have been on the improve and may surprise
3. Huddersfield Hawks v Winchester Werewolves @ Galpharm Stadium
Hawks can be up and down but if they are on their game this week may trouble the Werewolves.
4. Hastings Hurricanes v Liverpool Rams @ Pilot Fields
Hurricanes should win this one but Rams are also on the improve and may surprise
5. Manchester Magic v Swindon Swaggers @ Old Trafford
Magic slightly favoured here but an upset would not surprise.
6. Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs v Leeds Leeches @ Todmorden Sports Centre
This game could go either way as both teams can be up and down
7. Nottingham Hoods v Blackpool Bunnies @ Trent Bridge
Hoods should be too strong for the Bunnies
8. Grope Lane Giants v Staines Steins @ Giant Stadium
Giants looking for their first win and may surprise the Steins.
9. Oxford Owls v Swansea Breakers @ Incheon Stadium
Another game that could go either way with the breakers hoping to regain some form after a disappointing season so far.

Your not the only one who needs forwards I have one good one in Robbie Gray(may lose DPP as well) and then nobody else worth mentioning.
Hopefully some DPP changes fall the right way next year.

Manchester Magic, Leeds Leeches and Newcastle Falcons have not lodged teams by cut off so teams lodged ror Round 8 will apply for this Round.

I have almost missed a few of them as well - lodged my team in a rush last minute because I'm at work and the Thursday night games start 10 mins after I finish at work.
Comments noted but remember when I post the review of 2014 thread for review and possible rule changes to add comments in there,

Yea in my case teams are named after I start footy training and bounce is before I finish lol.
Reckon a bunch of people would be willing to help if asked
Also remember that we introduced 4 emergencies with one being a sub this year to counter late changes but as always willing to discuss changes at end of season.

Not a huge fan of it either, but it's not stupid, it's done to make the Admin's job easier (I can really relate to that).
Whatlez, I think if you are willing to criticize, you should be willing to help with a solution. A lot of (unpaid) work this Admin thing.

Yes sorry, but what we should do is have two threads like Asian to make it easier to manage and I was just saying that I don't remember voting for early lockouts. I would of forgotten if my dad said there's a game on tonight yesterday.
Early lock outs was a result from the extra bench thing I think from memory but we were told I know that

Personally not a fan of the whole two threads thing in AXVs.
For information of all Lockout at bounce of first game has been the rule in British now for 2 years. You could have commented in the review thread if you did not like it and had it changed in off season but no one took the opportunity so I thought it was ok and continued this year the existing rule and also reinforced it with the new sub rule and still no discussion to change. As I said earlier you have an opportunity to change for next year in the review but if you do not raise then it will stay the same so up to you to ensure that a vote is taken,

Quick question - If one of our utilities is a late out, who replaces them? I'd assume it would be the first named emergency, but seeing as we have to name an emergency of each position, for most people it would be the defender as the first emergency?
First named emergency is the one taken - That is why i specified earlier in lodgement threads the need to name emergencies in priority order for this reason.

Will be close between Owls and Breakers both Captains played.
Owls 860/8 with Jaensch, Kolodjashnij, Scott Thompson, Andrew Swallow, Black, Taylor Walker and O'Meara to come
v
Breakers 873/8 Heath Shaw, Talia, Pucken, Stevens, Cooney, Betts and JJ Kennedy to come.
Owls with HGA may just get over the line.
Dragons vs Badgers please Ringo?
Too many players from todays games for both sides.
atm Badgers 545/5 with Captain played v Dragons 638/6 with Captain still to play. Badgers do have HGA whic may give the advantage.
yeah interesting i don't give us a chance unless Burgoyne goes big

Yep no worries.
Round 9 results.
With the Giants defeating the Steins on points all teams have now won at least one match. Late outs and non lodgement of teams by deadlines influenced some teams. With the werewolves having their worst game of the season would have been ideal for the top teams to have played them this week.
