Title: Langdon trade or Fasolo?
Post by: HotTiges on May 25, 2014, 10:47:52 PM
alrighty lads. its that time again! scored 1872 moved me upto 186 from 208. have 14 trades left and 168k remaining.

here is the line up

McVeigh, Simpson, Bartel, Hibberd, Swallow, Enright (Langford, Cluery)
Ablett, Pendlebury, Watson, Selwood, Rockliff, Beams, LANGDON, Hallahan (Hartung, Acres)
Sandilands, Goldstein (currie,king)
Dangerfield, Parker, Martin, Roughead, Higgins, FASOLO (Cameron, Ambrose)

Tossing up a couple of ideas..

OPTION 1
Firstly, points are won in the midfield and I believe you try and get the best IF possible. So I'm liking Langford to Bews and Langdon to JPK or Fyfe. Leaves the DEF bench a little skinny. This could be the only chance to cull Langford to a playing rookie. Don't see too many more..plus I see Fasolo to get back to scoring better after his comeback game..can always trade him out later with a trade..
OPTION 2
other idea is to go Langdon to Goddard and Fasolo to Buddy.. or a FWD around 417k can't afford Pav etc..

any suggestions?

Yeah man, I like option 2 aswell.

Pretty much the same trades I've done but Selwood instead because I have Goddard.

hmm.. ok I can get Griffen instead or Goddard (already have Watson, but it is about points) but would leave me only 1k left..

Option 2

I'm in the same boat with my backs, have Langford and Clay Cameron on the pine, a bit wary of Bews JS and don't what to get sucked into making the 180k odd from trading out Langford only to cop a donut in the next month.

My lenient predictions for the rest of the season:

Fyfe/JPK (approx. 120) + Fasolo (85) = 205

Goddard (110) + Franklin (100) = 210

So the second option should net you a few more points, PLUS it allows you to keep Langford down back for another cash cow to cull next week or when the need be.

Second option for me.

so we still thinking the 2nd option? is Goddard truly capable of matching Fyfe? Franklin vs Keeping Fasolo? Bews as a D7?

What if you went Langford to Bews, Fasolo to Franklin and Langdon to Fyfe/JPK next round?

hmm.. that could work would give 287k in the bank after Bews and Franklin trades..

Langdon shouldn't drop too much cash. Fasolo probably will..

This story is still unfolding HT, my original target for Cotch was 120 over the course of the month. He's behind the eightball with 112 & 93 but I wouldn't be writing him off so hastily.

As for Goddard, it's hard to see his form being dented by the above opponents. I'm upgrading Higgins, just feel it's the right time to cut him loose.

haha not writing him off.. need him to 'wake up' a bit too..yeah Higgins is certainly on watch if he has a stinker.. a few options around his price for a straight swap..
