Title: Gibson to miss quite a few games with torn pectoral Muscles.

To add to the Hawks woes - Gibson's injury continues the Hawks' horror run with injury that has recently sidelined Sam Mitchell (hamstring), Cyril Rioli (hamstring), Brian Lake (calf), Jed Anderson (shoulder) and forward Brendan Whitecross (knee) for extended periods.

They get them all back in the business end of the season so I wouldn't be too stressed.

The fact that they are all expected to return at most 5 weeks out from finals is the only thing keeping us alive tbh. Even if we lose to Port this week Hodge and Shiels should be back. I would expect us to get over GWS the week after and then the next 2 games are WC and Carl who again, I would expect us to win but we have the chance of gaining Rioli and Lake back around then.

So losing to Port and winning the other 3 leave us at 9-3 with only really Mitchell and Gibson out barring any other mishap.

It's funny, all the commentators and media were saying a couple of weeks ago that the only thing that will stop Hawthorn finishing on top and having another tilt at the flag is injuries to key players. They couldn't have lost a more important bunch of players  :o
Still think they will finish top 4 but a few loses through the middle of the season could be the difference between playing finals at the G or interstate
