Title: Round 9 - Kangaroos v Lions - Saturday May 17th - Etihad Stadium
Post by: Ringo on May 13, 2014, 05:12:19 PM
Roos need to win this one if they are to challenge for Top 8. Lions have been impressive in recent weeks with youngsters stepping up. Could go either way but favour Roos at home.

This is the sort of game the Kanga's would lose

Brisbane a chance

Brisbane youngens have been good , maybe not fantasy wise but doing well. Can see this being tougher than most think but still lean towards the Roo's.

Depends which North rocks up to play, last week they were terrible and would look to bounce back as Brisbane are slowly getting a little bit better each week the trip over to Melbourne might be too much for the young lions.

North by 35

Yeah Kangaroos will win this easily. Home game against a hit-and-miss side, could very well be a blowout if the Roos bring their A-game.

Could go either way? In no way do I see this going Brisbanes way, and if it did, heads would roll at the Roos.

Really hoping the North of round 7 shows up, and not the North of round 6 haha

If it's the former, then we definitely have a chance. Just need to keep fighting and not drop off towards the end of the 3rd qtr, and then the 4th

I can see Petrie kicking a bag though  :-\

The most under the pump coach this week is Brad Scott. The roos will want to come out firing after their performance 2 weeks ago against Gold Coast.

Brisbane tried hard last week but have a long way to go, their only win was by less than a goal against St Kilda. North by 10+ goals.

Reasonably high I reckon as he has come in for Robbo who was the sub last week.  May start the game though and be red vested.  Was hoping that he would get another game in NEAFL to get match fitness.

Taylor comes on for Rocky in SC.

I've been giving my mate shower all week cause my team is just way ahead of his, and now he'll just get over the line cause of Rocky and Hammer, and him giving JPK the C

Not arguing about the frees but want some consistency both ways - there shopuld of been some HTB Brisbane way which was not and do not get me started on incorrect disposals.

Bad enough with players playing under duress without coping with one sided umpiring.

Gl hit it on the head although I thought Beams should have had another game in reserves and come in after byes.  Expecting Beams to get the Red and Robbo come on but will depend on how the flu effected players are travelling.
Do not like making excuses but think this time it is legitimate with North virtually playing an Under 20 side with a couple of Seniors thrown in for support. 14 players for Brisbane aged 21 or less.
Zorko, Merrett and Golby probably should not be playing either but forcerd to play through.

Not arguing about the frees but want some consistency both ways - there shopuld of been some HTB Brisbane way which was not and do not get me started on incorrect disposals.

Bad enough with players playing under duress without coping with one sided umpiring.

Your a Brisbane man Ringo you say they have a virus going through them I take that is why Rocky is out but what happened to Robertson he seem to fall out of favor with the coach pretty quickly after a couple of what I thought good games for a young bloke ?
Beams replaced him basically
Gl hit it on the head although I thought Beams should have had another game in reserves and come in after byes.  Expecting Beams to get the Red and Robbo come on but will depend on how the flu effected players are travelling.
Do not like making excuses but think this time it is legitimate with North virtually playing an Under 20 side with a couple of Seniors thrown in for support. 14 players for Brisbane aged 21 or less.
Zorko, Merrett and Golby probably should not be playing either but forcerd to play through.

Cheers just that he got short shifted out of the team pretty quickly thought might be a discipline thing or something anyway looks like they need to get him on pronto Zorko just not having any affect

Has gastro or whatever it is going through our team, so was played deep forward in a game where we're getting absolutely destroyed. I'd bet he averages at least 85+ from this point onwards, probably closer to 90/95. For around 350k, that's a bargain and could be very valuable in finals when other players get rested
