Option 2: Swans

Option 3: Draw

Will the bombers lift for this game? They were a little disappointing in narrowly getting over Brisbane whereas the Swans were outstanding in their win over Hawthorn. Will the Swans have a let down?

Tigers Under 30
lol
Essendon without Chappy won't be pretty. I don't think the Bombers can kick a viable winning score so Sydney will win by around 20-30
no idea how i did that lol
but yeah i don't think we'll win hopefully under 5 goals loss
Wonder if Thompson will have to send Carlisle back to help cover Sydney's 3 big talls. It could really throw their structure out.
Sydney should win this comfortably

hmm yeah 186cm not ideal but is a really good spoiler don't see many other options unless Hardy goes forward so Carlisle can go back Pears is injured or underdone i believe so cant play him
Swans for me here, Bombers very up and down Swans finding their mojo.
yeah Swans looked good last week, they should beat the Dons
If it was me I'd try a Fletch forward and asend Carlisle back
Surely the Swans. That forward line! :o :o

Goddard could maybe play on Reid or Goodes
This could get ugly, especially if Buddy can kick straight (unlikely :P). K-Tippz to boot 5. ;)
Swans to get up.
Hooker to finally get a leg up and defeat Franklin but Tippet to explode kick 6 and guide Swans to a 30 point victory

the 1st week he was good the 2nd week his grandfather had just passed away the 3rd i heard he was sore but i just got an email from the club saying he is inline to play needs to pass a fitness test same with Myers and Howlett should be back

I reckon this could be close, Bombers playing terribly at the moment, but I think they could bounce back with a strong performance. The Swans' forwards will be the key and I can't see the Bombers shutting down Buddy, Tippett and Goodes, so Swans by a couple of goals.
Think the Swans will be too good here, starting to find some form. Tippett for a big game!

in response to the above. it just has to. teams no need to work out who plays on who, and they are much less likely to be able to double team either player. One on one you would back buddy vs most and Tippett vs anyone.

I reckon that'd throw them out a fair bit and would work into Sydney's favour
If Bellchambers doesn't make it back I can't really see any vantage points for Essendon to win the game.
Of course that implies that the game is Sydney's to be won, and that never goes well :-X

I've had him all year in DT/SC :-\ and will definitely get him in after his bye in AF

His QT score was inflated too.

Merrett couldnt get the ball if it was glued to his hands..., LIFT
Effort and intensity... 2 words that the Essendon Football Club do not understand.
We need to lift our work-rate to get back into the game. However we have not shown any level of acceptable work-rate since round 3 so I don't have much confidence.
Could get really, really ugly if we don't lift.

Yeah, there's that feeling that 'I've been through the bad times, how dare you all get him cheap!' It's worse when it's an injury that let's everyone get your star for peanuts.
Please no repeat 2012 Swannies when Essendon kicked like 11 goals in a row :(
Ambrose seems to be getting a little screwed. 16 even for 3 marks and 2 tackles seems low even if he shanked his 5 kicks and 1 handball.

Is a defender shower for not kicking goals? Can't judge a player on their performance of one aspect when they're playing a completely different role. Undisputed best outside player in the league.

Hurely in trouble
Parker just took out Hurley and he looks to have done something to his arm possibly. Maybe a rib on the side he looked to be protecting as he was going off

Daniher subbed out, Carlisle is now on.
Flowering McVeigh around the contests and doing flower all.
That should have been a free. Hanners could also be in deep ish for that hit.
No joke if these umpires were neutral there'd be more or less exactly 10 points in it
but that's what happens when Jewmetriou's favourite team comes up against his least-favourite
no idea why would have carlisle as sub in the first place then bring him on for Joey who was playing well....
Hanners shouldn't get weeks for that. Both went for the ball and Hurley elected to go head first

Ever since Viney got off it seems that in every single game after that one theres been a illegal bump.

I've counted 9 absolutely mind-boggling decisions which lead directly to sydney goals
THREE-QTR TIME: Sydney take a match-winning lead of 52 points into the final term. Dan Hannebery could be in strife for a head-high bump on Michael Hurley.

You're both asking for a ban at this rate. Mailman, stop with the personal attacks. Jukes, you should know better too.
Why can't either of you just not reply? It's really not that hard. Ignore each other and it all goes away.
Consider this an official warning for you both.

I think we find out where Cats are when they play Freo. Freo win, then Swans win. Cats win then game on, cats have the upper hand
Despite Jukes' somewhat abusive opinions about the umpires, Swans fans, and even to his fellow Bombers fans (and also the blatantly poor umpiring), I think it's pretty clear that the Swans were the better team and clearly earned the win. Fwd structure really pulled through, Derickx was (relatively) great as the sole ruck again, and my manlove for Parker continues (Who's Macrae? ;) ) :) More in the next few weeks please!
