honestly QLD/NT midfield sucks

Beams, Zorko, Hanley, Armitage

the best 4 wtf

not a final team until later but looking like

Hanley, Petterd, Dempsey, Hampton (if named)
Beams, Zorko, Bell, Josh Thomas (if named)
Hampson
NROO, May, Motlop, Hale
Petterd, J. White

would rather Tokyo's team why's it so bad even though it's representitive football?

The way Holz has named EurAsia makes it super hard to read... Had to look at it about five times before I could work out who was in each line.  :P

Will wait for Nails to post the AAP team before I pick my team since I'll probably lose the other half of the Metro best XV.  :(

International Side

Def: N.Malceski, J.Gibson, B.Houli, H.Lumumba
Mid:  B.Deledio (C), M.Stokes, D.Zaharakis, A.Cooney
Ruc: M.Pyke
Fwd: L.Dahlhaus (VC), M.Pavlich, D.Martin, A.Fasolo
Int: M.Rischitelli, J.Gwilt

Emg: G.Broughton (def), C.Pearce (def), N.Vlastuin (mid), T.Mzungu (mid), M.Blicavs (ruc), A.Carrazzo (mid), M.deBoar (fwd), P.Puopolo (fwd), J.Petrenko (fwd)

Who would have thought that a ruck department of Maric, Leunenberger, Kreuzer, Pyke and Blicavs could be struggling to field a ruckman this time last year!

Have optimistically named Pyke, with Blicavs as backup. Even then...
Title: Re: WXV: Representative Round

NSW/ACT/TAS

Def: Dane Rampe, Grant Birchall, Matt Suckling, Kade Kolodjashnij
Mid: Kieran Jack, Lenny Hayes, Craig Bird, Harry Cunningham
Ruc: Mike Pyke
For: Luke Breust, Jack Riewoldt, Mitch Robinson, Jeremy Howe
Int: Easton Wood, Aaron Hall
Emg: Tom Bellchambers, Will Langford, Jason Tutt

Did defence first, thought "Damn this isn't a bad defence", considering I left out the EurAsian Jarrad McVeigh. First two midfielders, sweet! Then the rest of the midfielders... deary me. Forward line is good though!

Just realised that Collingwood v Adelaide on Thursday night doesn't count towards this (counts towards WXV), so lockout extended until Friday night.

Btw, this is Nails preliminary squad (he can still change it)

Defenders:

Burgoyne, Bartel, Malceski, Johnson, Gibson

Mids:

GAJ, Johnson, Pendles, Beams, Boyd, JPK, Murphy, Barlow

Rucks:

Sandi, Jacobs

Forwards:

Breust, Chapman, NickRoo, Harvey, Gunston

Yeah, AAP and Eurasia get first pick across the board, then all the other teams get preference. We're last.  :( Pretty much every other team is named though, so you can name Country now. I lost a few (namely defenders) to international rep teams.

Shows how poor my season has been with only 2 named in the XV. Sloane can feel a little aggrieved to not even make the emergency list having not dropped below 102 for the season.

I realised this during th Syd-Ess game, that Pyke actually didn't play... so I guess Bellchambers comes off bench to fill that spot, then Josh Bruce comes on.

Loving the timing of this bye round.

Zorko gets 12, Jackson gets subbed off in 1st quarter, Grimes got a really low score as well. Reckon I would have been on track for 1200 or something  8)

Conca and Duncan were great last night for WA. Beijing's very own Harry Taylor was poor however.

Coniglio off to a good start though.

I'm a genius playing Tutt instead of more fancied options  ;)

Nothing to do with him being a Brewer at all  :P Actually reckon my Tassy team did alright.

Alliance Strikes Back

The AAP Alliance wasn't about to let lightning strike twice, and did enough to defeat an EurAsian effort that lacked polish. But overall, this was a subdued effort considering the heights we had in the previous two encounters.

AAP Alliance now lead 2-1.

Captain Gary Ablett and Coach Nails clearly had game plan issues, with Ablett surprisingly subdued, but it was players like Jimmy Bartel, Josh P Kennedy (backing up from his African Cup heroics) and Scott Pendlebury that added the class. Jimmy Bartel was awarded a Worlds Medal and the AAP Alliance medal.

For EurAsia, ruckman McEvoy off with a leg injury hurt badly, while many others performed only average or worse, with Leigh Montagna a bad offender. Kade Simpson, in his EurAsian debut, was best on ground for the Super Continent.

EurAsia (24.11.155) lost to AAP Alliance (25.18.168)

Best
EurAsia: K Simpson, J Watson, L Parker, J Selwood, L Dahlhaus, R Gray, N Fyfe, C Ward
AAP Alliance: J Bartel, S Pendlebury, JP Kennedy, A Sandilands, D Beams, M Johnson, N Malceski

Late Changes
EurAsia: N Dal Santo replaced T Rockliff
AAP Alliance: M Murphy replaced S Johnson

JIMMY BARTEL wins the AAP ALLIANCE Medal and the WORLDS Medal
KADE SIMPSON wins the EURASIA Medal

Internationals Show Colours

Internationals, let by Dustin Martin, showed the talent the... ahh... world has with a strong display over the All-Stars.

Stephen Hill was the best for the All-Stars, but the side had too many passengers in the end.

Indigenous All-Stars (20.13.133) lost to Internationals (21.12.138)

Best
Indigenous All-Stars: S Hill, L Franklin, P Ryder, M Stokes
Internationals: D Martin, B Deledio, T Mzungu, D Zaharakis

Late Changes
Internationals: M Firrito, T Mzungu, P Puopolo replaced J Gibson, J Gwilt, C Pearce

DUSTIN MARTIN wins the INTERNATIONAL Medal and a Representative Medal
STEPHEN HILL wins the INDIGENOUS ALL-STARS Medal

NSW/ACT/TAS in Rampage

Well, that was unexpected, in a Score that would've pushed EurAsia and the AAP Alliance, the NSW/ACT/Tas team came out all guns a blazing. With Tasmanian Jack Riewoldt leading the way with an 11 goal haul.

QLD/NT were ravaged. Captain Zorko was disastrous, with really only Jarrod Harbrow and Charlie Dixon being able to hold their heads up high.

NSW/ACT/TAS (24.11.155) defeated QLD/NT (14.7.91)

Best
NSW/ACT/TAS: J Riewoldt, C Bird, K Jack, L Hayes, J Howe, M Suckling
QLD/NT: J Harbrow

Late Changes
NSW/ACT/TAS: J Bruce & J Tutt replaced M Pyke & M Robinson
QLD/NT: K Tippett, J Tippett and D Merrett replaced L Keefe, R Thompson and T Hickey

JACK RIEWOLDT wins the NSW/ACT/TAS Medal and a Representative Medal
JARROD HARBROW wins the QLD/NT Medal

SA Smacks WA

South Australia put Western Australia in its place, with a ferocious beating, led by Captain Ryan Griffen, but had contributors all round.

Matt Priddis was outstanding for WA, and was best on ground, but had limited support.

South Australia (23.13.151) defeated Western Australia (19.10.124)

Best
South Australia: R Griffen, S Jacobs, B Gibbs, W Minson, Jack Redden, B Vince, A Mackie, C Wingard
Western Australia: M Priddis

Late Changes
South Australia: C Wingard & J Westhoff replaced P Puopolo & S Mayes
Western Australia: K Mitchell, C Cameron, J Darling replaced T Mzungu, T Mitchell, B Howlett

MATT PRIDDIS wins the WESTERN AUSTRALIA Medal and a Representative Medal
RYAN GRIFFEN wins the SOUTH AUSTRALIA Medal

Country Kings of Victoria

Victoria Country showed too much grit and determination for Vic Metro, with Brendon Goddard the star.

Tom Hawkins was best on ground, but it wasn't enough for Vic Metro, as Libba jnr did his best also.

Vic Country (23.12.150) defeated Vic Metro (20.16.136)

Best
Vic Country: B Goddard, S Sidebottom, D Mundy, A Treloar, S Higgins, D Cross
Vic Metro: T Hawkins, T Liberatore, M Barlow, C Guthrie

Late Changes
Vic Country: N Maxwell replaced N Haynes

TOM HAWKINS wins the VIC METRO Medal and a Representative Medal
BRENDON GODDARD wins the VIC COUNTRY Medal

Well, what can I say? I inspire teams to greatness.

Coached a team from 16th to preliminary finals in one year, and now made my "Tassie boys & friends" compete with EurAsia and AAP in another.
