Hard to gauge this one Saints after a strong start to the season have been disappointing the last 2 weeks and The Blues after a really shocking start to season starting to improve. Result will depend on which team is the more hungrier.
Why is this game on a Monday night when only 6 games on during the bye?
Got a feeling the Saints might get up here, but only just.

Tipping Carlton to bounce back here. I hope St Kilda will be mentally switched on after the disastrous performance last week.

Hard for me to pick a winner in this tbh, anything could happen. Leaning towards the Blues but could go either way.
The Saints have done well against the Blues and I think they can get up.
Also, watch out, Tom Curren will destroy Murphy.
I really want the Saints to win here. However, think the Blues will get up by about 20 points
Saints have got the wood on my mob, they have been pretty poor the past couple of weeks but this is when a team tends to bounce back and surprise you. I noticed Jamo has been named and Watson was also named on the extended bench. What I found interesting with the Watson inclusion is that he injured himself in the VFL last week. He only played 1 qrt before coming off the ground and not participating for the rest of the match. Jamo also had his own injury worries but Carlton need him to play on Roo. Two other big outs are Carrots and Waite. Collingwood literally sat 2 on Hendo all game last week, if the Saints do something similar Carlton might struggle to score again.
Saints by 10. With the Draft Trio to destroy it. And hopefully Shenton gets a game

Wow so i just checked the fixture for the next 2 weeks and both Saints and Carlton have games on sunday afternoon that are both in Melbourne that start at 4:40. (Saints face Gold Coast at Etihad next week whilst Carlton face Adelaide at the MCG)
I can slightly understand the reasoning behind the 4:40 game yesterday but when you have 2 games in Melbourne why not give them the prime time slot on a sunday arvo and let them start at 2:10.

I had Watson captain, but decided to trade Tags in this week and give him the C straight up. Ablett -> Tags and will probably do something like Polec -> Ablett this week

When Roo players deep in the 50 i would say yes but unsure who goes to him when he plays up the ground normally i would say Henderson but since he is playing as a forward now a days the other options would be Rowe and White who are both named in the back pockets unsure if either have the speed to go with Roo. Maybe Jamison follows Roo up the ground as well which would be a huge win for the Saints

Acres score is BS. I'm pulling my hair out when he gets the ball...made 3 shocking mistakes. His goal was good and he is willing to take the game on but 63 pts...get off the grass.

Going at 67% with 2 clangers and 5 tackles. 63 does seem a bit generous considering his only had 9 touches (7 contested) and a goal but considering his team mates are not doing any better I guess that helps his score

Similar to what the Blues did in the first. Hopefully they don't come out and kick 8 straight like Carlton did in the 2nd

Considering Roo was 37 at 3/4 time I'm very happy with 79 (Just hope he doesn't get scaled down) but he needs to start churning out bigger scores, but overall NRoo, Buckley and Simpson as a package has scored well for me

Simpson was awesome too but we both had him.

Should be the last two games between these two teams on a Monday... only 26k, good turnout from Carlton fans but the Saints cheersquad was empty. Was a pretty boring game and terrible atmosphere, must have been pretty bad for neutrals too :P
Anyway, glad we got the win, we're definitely capable of it, both teams were shower though. I don't understand why people don't double team Roo each week, Saints stand no chance if you do.

I really don't understand playing on a Monday night and not being on fta tv. Low crowd, low tv audience. Is weird
