Mitchell and (most likely) Lake out. Not sure how bad Stratton is but he would be a good in, otherwise Cheney may need to be recalled. Both he and Simpkin were named in the best for Box Hill.
Another more obtuse option would be to send Shoey down back and give O'Brien another run. Timmy had another good game in the VFL and would benefit from some more exposure. But it's far more likely we'll opt for two of Stratton, Cheney or Simpkin.
Sydney are going to be a real challenge.
Going to be a ripper game. Hope Buddy can get back to add to the excitement.
Langford will come back in right?
Hallahan to keep his spot?

I think so. Could very well be the sub though.

Can't wait for this. Buddy v Hawthorn, will be massive!
thoughts on Hartung? since i have Hallihan in SC it seems like a good move to get Hartung so one should play each week after the byes i wont be playing any rookies unless injuries
He should play until Shiels or Sewell are back which will likely be Round 11 onwards but if he performs well he could hold his spot a little longer.
Will Schoey keep his spot forawrd or do you think he will revert to hb given the injuries. Really considering him for d6/7 given his price.

Think he will continue just swinging wherever necessary. ALthough assuming Lake is out he will probably play predominantly back at least for the next game. Depends who comes in for Sydney, they do have a fair chunk of key forwards if they all play...
Depends a bit on if Strats is back too.
B: Burgoyne, Gibson, Duryea
HB: Hodge, Stratton, Birchall
M: Hill, Lewis, Smith
HF: Breust, Shoenmakers, Gunston
F: Hale, Roughead, Puopolo
Foll: McEvoy, Langford, Rioli
Int: Litherland, Suckling, Hallahan, Hartung
Emg: Cheney, Simpkin, O'Brien
Something like that?
Clarko said in his post match presser something like: (about Hartung) he's going to get a rude shock next week versus the Swans and the change in intensity.
At least it sounds like he is playing :P
You're going to be playing Kyle Cheney on Tippett right?

I'm hoping we're not that stupid. Litherland or Shoenmakers will go to him.
Do you see Hartung as the sub again? Or do you think he played himself into a full game?

I think we need the harder nose of Hallahan against the Sydney midfield, so presuming it's out of him and Hartung I'd say Billy will be vested.

Okay, cheers. Just realised we will know before lockout, thankfully.

Stratton back, Langford back :)
Shiels looks like he will come in round 10, Sewell probably plays at BH until at least round 11. Spangher to become available n round 10 but not sure if he will be needed in the side or not.
So I am watching the Foxtel Cup, living in SA I don't get to see many Box Hill games so it has been good to get a bit of a look in.
So far James Sicily, Alex Woodward and Luke Lowden have looked promising :) VERY excited about Sicily now.

Have also been watching and these guys have been seriously impressive. How good was Sicily's mark over on the flank? :o

How good was Sicily's mark just then! Shame he missed the goal. Exciting times.
Very exciting players - was a bit of 'Nat Fyfe' hype around him last year and I can see why ;)
Jordan Kelly has got a heap of it in the last two weeks (big wins admittedly). 38th pick in the 2011 draft, 191cm.
The way Woodward is playing he is going to miss half his games through suspension Jack Viney-style ::)

He's always been like that from what I can remember, even in school footy haha.
Clarkson will become the equal second-longest serving coach in Hawthorn's history on Friday night, equalling the 221-game record of four-time premiership coach Allan Jeans. Clarkson and Jeans come in behind club legend John Kennedy, who coached 299 games.
Of todays' crop of coaches, Clarkson is the longest serving behind Mick Malthouse and Mark Thompson.
21/22 ain't bad. Bit disappointed about Litherland being dropped.

I hope you're getting worried ;)
I think it's the Sydney defenders who should be scared.

+1
With the size of Schoey's arms, I would be too. :P
Nek minnit :P
Believe in Cheney
