Question:
Who will win?
Option 1: Hawkis 30+
votes: 19
Option 2: Hawks Under 30
votes: 0
Option 3: Saints
votes: 3
Hawks bounced back after their disappointing effort the previous week and should easily account for Saints. Have Saints hit the wall following their sound start to the season?
Hawks pretty easily Roughy to kick a bag
Roughy and Gunston 10+ goals between them
This could get ugly, Hawks easily. Here's to hoping the Sainters don't get properly mauled though.
I think the Saints can hang in there for the first qtr or so, but Hawks to runaway and win easily
Hawks very comfortably.
Wonder who Curren will go to in this. Has been amazing this year

Would have to be Mitchell you'd think.
Yeah you would think Mitchell would be target #1 after dominating the Tiges last week. Isaac Smith could be in line for a tag as well though, been very impressive this year.

And even if they shut down Isaac Smith's run, the Hawks have Hartung who is arguably (or was it confirmed?) quicker! ;)
I think he was second to Isaac in the time trials over preseason. Wouldn't expect him to cop attention in his first AFL game though! :P

I know it does not mean much but interesting that he is named on the field will be watching him closely anyway hope he gets a full game
Blacres is going to be something else I think, can't wait to see him play.
also I will be seriously disgusted if there are any boo's from the Saints supporters directed at Ben McEvoy. the man loved the Saints (as he's mentioned several times) and he was one of our only players that had any currency at the trade table, so he has helped get our rebuild off to a good start. without that trade we wouldn't have picked up Luke Dunstan OR Blake Acres (or Shane Savage) so a massive thumbs up from me.
don't boo him. I will hunt you down. :P
Well said brad, agree 100%! Seemed like he bled red white and black, but was willing to be traded if it was the best thing for the team's rebuild.
Still not sure whether the Saints got enough out of the trade (Dunstan's a gun, but Savage has been ordinary), but time will tell. Regardless, he's one of my favourite players at the moment and I would be disappointed if he was targeted by the crowd tomorrow!

St Kilda - a foundation club of the VFL - 1897 to present - one premiership

Why not? Due to Suns and GWS, teams needing to rebuild were always going to struggle. In a few years, then yes, this shouldn't be happening.
Making money is more important than equalising the competition.
AFL had lots of options that wouldn't involve clubs like the Saints getting screwed over but they chose the get rich quick scheme
