Losing a NAB Challenge game with half our best 22 missing is the end of the world.

Richmonds depth no good? WTF! It's one of the better depths in the league at the moment.
Oops.
Melbourne also had half of their best 22 out.
haha I don't see this ending well ;D
Quote from: Noz on February 14, 2014, 10:03:32 PM
Well Nige according to Quinny you guys have one of the best depths in the league and since Melbourne had half of their best 22 out you guys should of smashed Melbourne.
I can guarantee the Tigers aren't fazed by the result.
As a supporter, and I'm sure others like Toga, JROO and Quinny will agree, all I wanted to see was the boys run out there and play some football regardless of the result. Yes, a win would have been nice, but the game definitely had a lot more meaning for the Dees.
Personally, I'm just happy we got to see some new recruits and gave them a run.

Yeah a win would've been nice but I'm happy we had no injures (apart from Newy, but that didn't like that bad, so hopefully he's all good). It's only a NAB game, so who cares. Melbourne played better than us and probably deserved to win by more.
NAB Challenge means jack shower, I remember a couple of years ago we smashed Geelong by over 60 points. I'm more concerned about Newman getting injured than losing this game.
It's also nice to see the Dee's doing something good, hopefully they can build on this and get out of the gutter.
More importantly Kennedy Harris and Michie look like good picks for DT.
The Hawks lost all four NAB matches last year and went on to win the flag.
Just to keep it in perspective.

Might have. ;) :P
nup clearly season over for you guys. sorry
Saints Melbourne and GWS all have at least one easy victory this year. and that's against the Tiges
:P 8)
Overrated, now what?
Wow Noz.. How old are you? :o
I actually thought we should have lost by 30 points or more. Melbourne had so much more of the ball but no gun forwards to kick it to which they will get back, credit to them. Their system looks much better all be it the Nab challenge.
Richmond clearly couldnt give a rats ass and neither could I.
Positives though. Really liked the look of Miles, think he could become a player.
Martin is gonna be even more of a ball magnet spending some time across half back. Lock him in to all forms of fantasy teams.
Liked the look of Griffiths too. Man he can thump the ball long
Players not up to AFL level yet.. McBean, Lloyd, McIntosh
LOL hows this coming from Noz the guy that has a sulk when I bring up his lost bet that he wouldnt pay up on. Having a cry because everyone was getting into him about it and now he comes on here and is a smart ass after a nab challenge game hahaha. Put your dress back on Noz you twit ::)
Settle as a Tigers fan I thought Noz's picture was pretty funny.

Hahahaha so good!
Come on guys don't have a little tantrum when someone rips into you about losing, haha.
haha yeah but its funny, If I had of posted that every man and his dog would have ripped into me about it ::) Noz does it and its fine. And if anyone thinks he was doing it harmlessly you are kidding yourself. He is blatantly being a shower stirrer because he hates Richmond and the Richmond supporters on this forum
Come on man, it's a joke hahaha. Losing to melbourne deserved a thread.
It's a bit of banter, if we lose to Melbourne or GWS, come to our board and bag us if you want.
You Tiges supporters get hurt to easily ;)
Haha you are right Brad, trying to keep this humane.
I'll be on the Blues board when the Saints get the W against you guys again vin ;) :P
I barrack for Geelong Vinny.
I just find it hillarious that Queen Noz the sulk of the forum is stirring the pot when he has a teary every time someone gets into him.
Banter is banter I couldnt care less as long as you can take it back as well.
And he actually thinks this game means something judging by the fact that he quoted Quinny88 saying Richmond had good depth LOL. Some people still havent worked out the difference between the pre season and the real season
hahahahaha
I would be demoralised if I was playing in a side that lost to melbourne, regardless of the team structure :P

Yeah they are man, they actually all stayed back after the game and cried for hours and had family and friends in the rooms to support them. Hardwick and entire coaching staff will be sacked tommorow. May as well board the club up now, season over.

Finally someone who knows what they are talking about, jesus about time you guys came to the realisation that you suck big time and you lost to Melbourne hahahaha
Melbourne couldn't find a target in the first half to save their lives, They practically gifted several goals to Richmond.
Also judging by each clubs best 22.
Missing from Richmonds best 22: Grimes, Houli, Conca, Riewoldt, King, Maric, Jackson
Missing from Melbournes best 22: Garland, Viney, Watts, Dawses, Clarke, Hogan, Jamar
Both teams missed key players but when you take away all of Melbourne's key forwards its very hard to replace them.
Doesn't really mean anything.
Sydney lost to GWS by a decent margin last year in the pre season

Who cares though Noz? Its the Nab challenge. Do you not understand the difference?
We could have had a full side in against their reserves and lost and it would still mean nothing
Im sure Brisbane are saying the exact same thing.
In fact if no clubs care about the Nab cup why have it at all.
Haha this is just everyone else bagging Richmond as always, it's not something you can win Quinny. ;)
The fact is you lost to Melbourne, hahahahha ;D

Precisely..
You can't just pretend it doesn't exist cause it does and it's still a game of AFL. If Richmond won by 200 and played amazing footy you would all be losing your minds going Richmond is looking so good, Top 4 for sure and stuff haha and completely forgetting about the "no one cares about the NAB" bit that you are saying now.

shhhhhh
as fantasy coaches we need NAB :P
nah, it is a necessity though, so you can see how the kids go against AFL level opposition.

lol nothing new. My mate just called me (melbourne supporter) and tried to get into me about it.. He quickly shut up when i said "you know your team is a joke when you celebrate round 1 nab challenge games" haha
I think losing to Melbourne takes away any right you have of bagging any team in the AFL. :P

Are you kidding? :o It means nothing at all Vin and anyone with half a brain that watches footy knows that. Like mailman said.. Gws beat Sydney last year in the nab.. Did that mean something? Brisbane won the GF.. That counted for heaps to. the nab cup is a joke and always will be thats exactly why they abandoned it and created this new "nab challenge" so that they dont bother with the half assed competiton. The nab cup is to get a bit of touch into the players and give the kids a go and thats all it should be. I would have no different opinion on where Richmond are at weather we won by 100 or lost by 100
Did have a giggle at noz's 1st post but i doubt Richmond give a fat rats clacker about Nab Cup.
On the other hand for footy's sake glad to see Roo's having an immediate affect on the Dee's.
Makes for a better Season, interesting i like it.
Haha settle you get a little winded up about this.
Whether it's NAB or Home and Away, you lost to Melbourne.
Obviously you will be a force this season and this won't change much but losing to the Dees is still pretty embarrassing.
People will take any opportunity to rub it in your face haha.
The NAB challenge this year is totally different than previous years.
Vinny you of all people should know that the Nab cup doesnt mean a thing. Carlton won the nab cup and then went on to finish dead last that season.
Richmond could play Melbourne again next weekend in a home and away game and win by 10 goals. They dont care and Nor should they. For Melbourne it was important as they have been a laughing stock for years, for Richmond it was another training drill
Haha I do know it doesn't mean much man.
I'm just saying they lost to Melbourne and I'm going to bag them about it hahaha, that's just a given.
No one has to mention the NAB cup part just say "remember when you lost to Melbourne." :p
If loosing a game of football is a training drill they best learn some new drills and fast, Hawthorn demolishing Brisbane was more like a training drill.

This is true, the teams with tough early draws will want to be up and about, Brisbane wanted to have a look at alot of their list
they have other priorities this year. Wouldnt surprise if Geelong and the Hawks dropped their next game (unless they meet rnd 2) Think Roo's will push the Dee's for another win to get the confidence up see how his hopes are travelling for 2014.
Dee's hit the buleseye getting Roo's this was the man for the job and will be alot better this year. Top 8 no competative yes.
You're so silly Richmond. Maybe your cheer squad needs to go back to school otherwise you're likely to see more of this.
Funny, yet embarrassing. :P
I'm gonna make myself believe that was purposely flowered up.
What happened Noz? 10 goal loss to Adelaide.. how embarrassing! Ports season is surely over now..
Oh wait maybe the nab challenge doesnt actually mean anything ::)
We might of lost to Adelaide but Richmond lost to Melbourne. A Melbourne side missing most of their best players.
Not sure whether to be flattered or have a cry in this thread :P
NAB wins are irrelevant, i look at the dam disposal differential! That excites me, because that sort of hints to what the real season might be leaning in to. Think that sort of stuff is what you look for in the NAB games.
Still, after being so success-deprived, it feels good to have a win.
