The CW Preseason Cap


The CW Preseason Cap is named in honour of the Inaugural Administrator of the AXVs Competition, Colliwobblers. Colli will always be remembered by Asians everywhere for his commitment to the AXVs competition.

The preseason competition will start on Wednesday the 12th of February and will be run in the following format.

Qualifying Round

The 18 teams split into 4 groups, based on premiership rankings from last year.

Group A: 1, 8, 9, 16
Group B: 2, 7, 10, 15
Group C: 3, 6, 11, 14
Group D: 4, 5, 12, 13

The 20 best scores of your squad from the FIRST 9 matches of the NAB Challenge count towards your total. See the NAB fixture here (http://www.afl.com.au/fixture/nab-challenge).

The highest scoring team from each group progresses to the final 4.

Semi Finals

The 4 teams that qualify from the first week are ranked from highest scoring to lowest scoring.

1st Highest Scoring Team v 4th Highest Scoring Team
2nd Highest Scoring Team v 3rd Highest Scoring Team

The 20 best scores of your squad from the LAST 9 matches of the NAB Challenge count towards your total. See the NAB fixture here (http://www.afl.com.au/fixture/nab-challenge).

Final

The winning teams from the Semi-Final face off against each other. Final round of practice matches of the NAB Challenge. See the NAB fixture here (http://www.afl.com.au/fixture/nab-challenge).

Each team selects a XV like a normal match.

One team might have every player play another might only have 10 which is a bit unfair.

Not everyone has a full list at the moment because some people have traded out more players than traded in during the second trade period. We will be having a supplementary draft once the new coaches have had a few trades to get all lists full.

We won't have this problem next year as it will be that all second trade period trades must be one for one.
