i was thinking we could just name 30 players for the round and the best xv scores count?

Hm, use the average from the year before?
Or alternatively, just post a rough, but realistic prediction of what you think they'll average this season.
Alright just so I'm not bias can I get your thoughts on the averages of these guys please. KB too if you can :)
Tex Walker
Mat Suckling
Dom Sheed
Kade Kolodjashnij
Matt Thomas
Luke Dunstan
Keep in mind it's SS scoring now.

Lewis Johnston in place of Matt Thomas.
Anyway... this is a rough prediction, no butthurt pls.
Tex - 90
Suckers - 80
Sheed - 60
Kolo - 50
LJ - 70
Dunstan - 60
Kolo will average more than 50. Id say 65.

Maybe 55-60, not 65 though.
He'll be good, but not that good in his first season.
Also Tex could go 115+ in this comp? He is a goal kicker and Cloke, JJK, Roughy all went 120+ in SS.
Suckers probably 97 IMO.
Dunstan 72
Sheed 63
LJ 73
Kolo 58

I'm assuming Tex will still be undercooked after a long lay off.
But forwards have ridiculous potential in this, a bit like AXVs with Sportsbet.
Fair enough is 105 fair?
Grounds added.
Should we make it you name a squad of 18, then your 15 highest scores get counted regardless of position?
Just match them with similar players averages.
Tex with Jroo
Suckling with Hurn
Sheed with L Hunter
Kolo with Vlaustuin
Thomas with Cassis
Lj played last season?
Dunstam with wines.
That's actually a good idea, thanks JB. :)

Nah, better to name 'em by position since that's what we'll have to do in the season proper.
Maybe go 20 players though? So, 5 emergencies.

Yeah, thats probably a better idea.
Iwould say for pre season and if you are going with rolling lock out there is no reason why it can not be just 15. But as there are those that can not sit on keyboard maybe 5 emergencies would be reasonable.
OK, will update the op
i think we should do 8 emerg 2 for each position

Not necessary with rolling lockout imo
it's just easier then deciding which pos your going to make your 5th emerg
Just adding to that ^
5 gives a bit of coverage, but I'd say most coaches will be on.

Well, if you think about it. There are two ways to go about it. Make your 5th emergency the position you feel needs the back-up the most, or just choose a player that will play so you get a score should you need it. :)

For information Draw may have to be redone as there are a further 2 coaches who have relinquished their teams. I would suggest a 16 team draw with the teams due to face these 2 teams to play each other.
Further advices will be going out today in relation to the vacancies:
Football Factory has relinquished Nottingham Hoods which some of you would have seen tin the thread.
Also due to work pressures and some personal matters Colliwobblers is standing down as coach of the Werewolves.
So Werewolves and Hoods should be removed from the draw.

Question.
Since SC are releasing scores... are we using our recently decided scoring system of the average of DT and SC for this as well, or simply DT?
Tryna calculate my score to date. :)

You can name more emergencies
I would need three more to field a full team, should I name three more?
Two will be OOP anyway, haha.
Nah just one.

So are the Werewolves in this round?
If so is the lockout before tonight's game or is it rolling over the next 9 days. eg. do we need to name all 20 players before tonight's game or just Hawks and Roos?
Note for all new coaches that you should name teams. Nrich will clarify but believe we have a rolling lock out for second round.

Assumption that since we have rolled back to Sportal that the rolling lockouts will continue in season now?
No refer to rules that with the extra emergencies rule passed there are no rolling lock outs whatsoever this season all teams will be locked at bounce of first match of the round.

Thought that was only as there was a large amount of work required on your part with the DT SC scoring combination?
Since we are going back basically to how things ran last year, what the reason behind the no rolling lockouts?

Either last week or players that hadn't played round 2
what happens with this comp and trades that have been done on the extra trade period?
i'm guessing we use players we had prior to extra trade period
Blackpool Bunnies lineup remains the same. Except for Dahlhaus, cos we traded him out

Is Cunnington a forward?
so confused regarding recently traded players and i'd like to know before Hartlett plays not sure what happens with Lester as emerg either
Can ROK play for me this round?
I'd assume not.
However, I also assume a traded player's score would still count (Simpkin in my case)?

Is that right? All I have done is named the same team as last week exchanging Cunnington for Dahlhaus?
Cant exactly name Dahlhaus either?
Can I get a ruling Ringo on what I can/cant do?
It's what the rest of us are assuming

Am letting nrich run this competition and he has the say on rules of the competition. With so much going on in British at the moment did not think I could handle running this comp as well.
Regarding naming teams after missing the first two games if you cann not name a team then I think you should be allowed to rename players from those teams if named previous weeks.
I'd let SR get Dahlhaus's score if he wants obviously he thought he was not allowed to name him

Ok there's a couple of players in our team not named for upcoming games.
So I'd like to replace them if possible. And also make another change to our squad.
Rhys Stanley to be replaced in the starting XV by Lewis-Roberts Thompson and Tom Lonergan to come in as E for Tim Mohr.
Brandon Jack to replace Kieran Jack in the starting XV (but not as captain) and O'Keefe to get the captain's armband. Dean Terlich to get the VC please. Lewis Jetta to be the emergency in B Jack's place.
Max King to come in as the ruckman and Naismith to be the emergency.

no more a protest to the half-hearted effort nrich put into running it
we still not got the final results
JUst bear in mind stats from trial games have been difficult to obtain as well.
What better way to combat one half-hearted effort than with another! Two wrongs dont make a right!

And there were only like half the teams submitted anyway, so not much point I guess...
That's another reason why I said no point doing this next year nobody takes it seriously then Ele had a go at me
Had a go at you? Chill out. I was simply stating that instead of 'protesting' you could see how/where you could help..

Haha lighten up mate seriously :P Its reeaaalllyy unhealthy to be that tense all the time ;)
He was kidding!
Settle guys, do not get personal. :P
Kidding IDGAF I love entertainment!
I stated early in the period that due to work involved in setting up for the season I could not run a preseason. Nrich took up the challenge and attempted to run a competition with all the associated difficulties it presented. So agree that there has to be discussion if we run a preseason next year and the format it takes. There are a number of ways we could go and we can discuss next year.
