how many round 8 bye mids will you start with. beams is pretty much a lock then you have swan gaz and pendles not too mention cotchin.
i currently have cotch gaz and beams. wondering what you are going to do aboout it?
I don't think think anyone should be throwing their hands up in the air about Round 8 mids. Griffen, Barlow, Montag, Watson and Rocky are all great options. I currently have three Round 8's but I have a feeling it will be two when the season actually starts, that will be more based on my opinion about the particular players rather than their bye.
so your happy to go in with only two of gaz, swan pendles beams cotchin ellis ziebell cunnington ect.

I only have Beams and JMartin.... Others represent more value with an easier fixture. My biggest one is picking SSelwood over GAJ just for his opening fixture.

It will be the 3 for me. Standard, GAJ, Pendles and Beams will start for me.
Beams isn't a lock. He'll average 101. He won't be in the top midfielders and you can make more money elsewhere so he isn't a great cash cow either.

is that the sole purpose of DT though?
I'm starting with players that I know won't be in the top few of their positions (ie Murphy)
but he'll make consistent 95s (or more) and be a good stepping stone to a premo (when the likes of Swan/SJ/Pendles/Gaj inevitably drop in price)
it's better for team balance, meaning I can put more money into a ruck combo (ie Longer at R3 as backup to Sandi) rather than 2 basement rooks (Currie and Thurlow)

Im starting with 3: Swan, Beams, Cotchin
I can't seem to look past both beams and cotchin and then need to lock in a captain choice for the 3rd which will either be Gaz Pendles or Swan.
Tough one.
I would say that Beams is a lock.
Then I reckon you need at least 1 (2 would be nice) of Swan/Ablett/Pendlebury.
And I quite like the look of Cotchin who is priced 20ppg under Swan.
If you went 4 to start, you would want all your rookies to be from rd 9 or 10 though come the byes.
