Option 2: Nay!

Seen Bellchambers in a couple of teams, whats the rush on this guy? Can he score well enough to be a good ruckman/forward in your team?
reasonably strong no from me, I'm scratching my head on the movement towards him as well. He could allow you to pick two basement bench rucks (one with R/F) to cover injuries to starting rucks in a limited trading environment.
As the Bombers ruckman he scores well but as a deep forward he struggles to put consistent points up.
I suppose with the lack of premium ruck/forwards he may be in consideration for a few, but personally I can't see the appeal.
I agree, it's a no from me.
he should lift his average as he wont be getting subbed off every other week due to new interchange cap not by a huge amount
have never really considered him for my team though
Not for me, as a ruckman yeah he scores pretty well but i think the Dons will need to use him forward a fair bit this year after the departures of Crameri and Gumby and i cant see him scoring consistent bags of goals.
im most likely having him in the forward line, hes not far off being bombers #1 its almost lineball, with crameri & spudledon gone & joe not quite there yet & hurley either going back or injured every other week hes gotta get a game forward, hes quality on his day & hes dpp in a season where unless your gonna spend big bucks in the ruck(im not)your choices are guys with dodgy health(hmac sandi),young guys still finding their feet(grundy longer),so for me the positives far outweigh any negatives being thrown about
What are you expecting him to ave jimmy?
I actually really like him. Don't think I'll be on him next year but expect to be picking him as a premium ruck in years to come!

hadnt really thought of that, more concerned with him getting a game every week, covering in the ruck & ensuring that along with my 4 starting rucks i will only have to use a maximum of 2 trades all year in the ruck & possibly nil,if he can jag around 80 a week i would be quite happy, hes the type of player that will suxx at times & other times he will smash it,what i may lose on him i will gain on another player,as having him will mean a very cheap ruck division allowing an extra defender or forward premium

Obviously it depends on where the extra cash is spent but I feel that if he doesn't go 80-85+ you will fall behind. By going a combo of Sandi/HMac/Grundy you are saving only 150k which is only enough to turn a rookie into a mid pricer.

Essendon ruckman Tom Bellchambers will be out of training for at least the next month after straining ligaments in his left ankle.
The 24-year-old big man rolled his ankle awkwardly at training during a match simulation drill on Monday.
NNNOOOOOO..... :'(
Anyone still considering him?
Still some 9 weeks till Bombers play first Round so if injury inly a max of 4 weeks then still worth considering
Makes me consider Daniher if he's out for the time they say he will be for.
Def for SC, not sure on DT but as a Ruc with forward time he should get more points than just forward only.

You're absolutely right Ringo, think people are going a little over the top with it all

Thats only based on early estimations of recovery time. Still definitely worth considering other options like Ryder now and monitor Bellchambers. He could be out a lot longer
He could be Rico, you're absolutely right. I just think people are choosing Ryder when they hear '3 months out' when actually it's 2 months till footy starts and then a month into the season he'll be back (scheduled).

So he's still looking at 4 weeks out + he would have lost a lot of fitness + match practise.
Definitely worth looking at other options, especially in AF.
