How much money you got left? Definatley need more premiums
You have quite a few exciting POD's, but your midfield is definitely too weak. Think you need to start with at least 1 of gas and pendles.
my problem with starting with a super prem is that they drop in price generally by approx 16% each time, typically in the super prems case they can drift even higher, where as a well selected mid/rookie has massive growth potential
its a tough strategy, but last year i posted 3 top 40 scores in the latter half of the year which i was happy about considering it was my first year to implement that style
i have approx 100k left, which is lower than i had last year too, it allowed me to push a midpricer hanners i think it was up to watson early while still keeping other high prices on the table
Just a couple of notes and I am not arguing with your strategy as it has served you well.
With the change in personal at Geelong out of necessity Bartel may be used forward which may effect his scoring - (We seen what it did to Rocky last year). McVeigh or Mitchell will score as well if not better.
Think it is a risk having both Bock and Higgins in the forward line with both returning from serious injuries would only select one and you have reasonable options.
Overall I think you are strong in all lines except mids and that is your strategy. Good luck.
i take it your talking about S.Mitchell? theres too many mitchells running around haha
but yes, i was bouncing between bartel and Mitchell and Hurn (the waters injury may or may not help his scoring)
but i may make that change of a mitchell, thanks
my idea with bock and higgins was that one would be an early upgrade, but i understand your point, i attempted two tough pairings like this last year, one paid off the other burnt me enough to mitigate what the first pair did. Bock i believe was on the burning team too, and personally higgins burned me two and three years ago respectively
Would like to see a couple of top line mids in there not to sure about Griffin thought he did his ACL last year but I could be wrong and as Ringo said Bock and Higgins to risky for me
Def: Only 2 premiums in defence but at least you have 2 players that are not in many teams Ibbotson and Hansen.
Mids: Too weak here would be leaving out Greene & Shuey look at least getting one of Pendlebury or Ablett here
Rucks You have a unique here in Griffen you will need to hope he overtakes sandi as the No 1 ruck.
Fwds: Should only pick one of Bock and Higgins.
Overall Ithink you need to find more money to fit in more Premiums maybe downgrade Bartel to someone that will score just as well.Too many midpricers has unbalanced this team i give it a 7/10
