AFL DT game made by virtual sports with limited trades (30) like past years has been. Prices and salary cap are also different to that of AFL Fantasy, for instance Bock is at 180k in this game.
My initial thought is of excitement; it feels a lot harder with limited trades again.
And sorry, I know this is an AFL Fantasy forum so perhaps the wrong place to post.
Here's a few interesting price changes compared to AFL Fantasy:
Martin/Hogan- 212k not 265k
KK 192k not 250k
McDonald 177k not 243k
Sheed 160k not 235k
HMac 297k not 344k
Longer 240k not 194k

Liking this change

In 2014, while trading, you can move any dual position player within your squad when a spot opens up, as many times as you like

Never saw this thread, would of posted earlier.

Anyway, I'll be playing both. Don't think some friends who are less serious about fantasy than I am will make the switch. I'll be doing both though, obviously. Not many rule changes (same scoring system?) but the main one is 30 trades which changes the game completely, also it is run directly by VS as opposed to 'Fantasy' and SC, which has its advantages. Lots of pot shots at the AFL on the site which was funny to read. Looking forward to it and will make a team when I have the time.

Time for a new board then I guess? Also, 'AFL Fantasy' officially needs to be called Fantasy now. This is Dreamteam. Will take some getting used to  :P

Was gonna say Q, should we start a poll saying who's playing what and see if there's enough interest in VS DT we get another board for it?

Don't think lots and lots will play (VS games haven't had massive exposure in the past) but majority of the serious 'Fantasy' community will. I doubt many people will just stop Fantasy, at least I won't.

Definitely deserves another board, but like I said in the Feedback board, not sure if it needs sub boards.

Probably doesn't need sub boards as you say but think a board would be handy.

Unless we had like a DreamTeam/AFL Fantasy board with sub-boards "P&T in DT / P&T in AF / Draft Games / AF Matchday" or something cos the scoring systems are the same but idk.

But they are totally different games if you think about it.

No such thing as a sideways trade in DT, to a good coach at least  :P

As per the new branding for the old DT competition, I have changed the titles of the relevant boards to AFL Fantasy. If and when the DT competition gets relaunched separately, there will be new boards set up for it.

Mentioned a while ago he was going to set up new boards ;)

I don't think you have to do the Real DT to be serious, both will be interesting competitions with lots of challenge, I'm personally sticking with Fantasy because even though it's changed a lot it's what I've been doing over the years so I don't want to pick up and go to another system

Will make a judgement at the end of the season on efffectiveness of both SC and Real DT venturing over to Real DT for the first time and just waiting for Monty to set up the new Boartd for Real DT so we can separate out the 2 DT comps.

Had real fun trying to make my first Real DT time within the salary cap.

IMO, Ultimate Footy is the best of the footy fantasy games. So much versatility - you can personalise scoring systems, team structure, player numbers, positions. The list goes on.

Hi ,  i have had the same problems re Virtual and trading . I sent them emails and they tell me to perhaps upgrade my browser which i refuse to do as i can play other AFL fantasy games. Anyway sometimes i can log onto Virtual and cant trade and sometimes i cant log onto the site. I was furious with them when i a few days ago reported the problems and they didnt get back to me until today and it cost me approx 250 pts minimum . I now waiting for them to reply to me and if the problems are not rectified by them i wont play it again . I know others are having the same problems as you and i . If they didnt think they had a problem why didnt they contact me immediately as their first reply to me was today .My problems ahve existed since last Saturday. If it wwas my browser causing the problems then i wouldnt have been able to set a team and trade Last Friday .

This is a copy i just received from DT Virtual

Hi,

Thank you for your email.

Please provide a more detailed explanation as to the login problem you are experiencing and we may be able to look into the matter further.

If you can please also provide more specific information about the trade issue you are having, we may be able to assist further.

Please note, Internet Explorer 7 is an older version of that web browser. Unfortunately as it is an old version, SuperCoach may not be fully optimised to work with that version, you'll need to upgrade it or download a different browser to avoid any issues.

Kind Regards,

VirtualSPORTS Support
-----------------------------------

As you can see they are talking about SUPER COACH but we are talking about DT Virtual , they are so mucked up , its a joke .
--------------
My latest reply ( and there have been many ) to them was:

I somtimes cant log into DT Virtual and sometimes i can . Since last Saturday am i cant TRADE .

I play Super Coach and DT Fantasy and you are DT VIRTUAL which isnt working properly and i cant trade in etc .

...Now im one happy camper ;D   thanks for your help guys.
