If we are going to have an indigenous team, why not have have a tri series between non-indigenous Australia, indigenous Australia and Ireland?

lets hope the Australians dont act like idiots again and further disgrace the code. We need to remember that for the Irish they are ametuers and all have other jobs. Unlike AFL players if they get injured they dont get paid and are just doing it for the love of the game.

they dont have tackliong in their game so why there is a need to be rougher than in the AFL i will never know. If you do something stupid in this game you should get suspended in the NAB or something. The worry is it will stop people playing but you cant just go there and hit someone and cop a small fine.

Totally agree, but the Irish also need to pull their heads in and stop the niggly stuff as well as their habit of kicking opponents

This sport has so much potential. I actually like watching it because it so unique, but when we don't play the good players, people don't care about it. Last tour we saw no one good go over and we got smashed. This time we are playing an All-Indigenous side and I expect us to be smashed again.

To give the code any relevance and credibility at all, it needs to have the big names playing every series. More than half the All-Australian side really should be in it.

As people have said, it has nothing to do with them putting only indigenous people in, it's the fact that it's given no credibility with the players they've sent over there.

So you're saying the black players aren't as good as the white?

our indigenous players represent 10% of the AFL population... so statistically speaking, there wouldn't be as many good ones as non- indigenous.

No, I'm saying even though they take up 10% of Aus. They still have the equal ability as every other play in the league.

We are usually better in the 2nd half after getting use to it

But pretty much they are much more experienced with the round ball and the rules and I think care about it more

He did, the side took it relatively seriously but in the end the Irish team were obviously a class above

I decided not to wake up at 6 and just watch it at noon on Fox Footy.

Stopped watching after the first quarter. Usually I find those games entertaining but just got so bored.

Why didn't Australia play to their strengths? Just run and gun the ball down the field...

We were good in the second half :P

We kind of got used to the round ball and were heaps better with it late in the game. If Motlop didn't miss that goal from like a meter out in the last quarter it would've been back to 2 points. I think we can make up the margin, we'll be better next time.

Are you trying to be a flowering spaz or did it just turn out that way?

They're taking 10% of the AFL population.

Not taking 10% of the Australian population

There might be more whites in America but there's more African Americans playing basketball. Your argument is totally flowering stupid.

just watched the game pretty enjoyable, i still say its one of if not the best sports in the world looks really fun to play.

the issue with gaelic football is you cant pick the ball off the ground, you cant tackle and marks mean nothing. International rules fixes all that, it really is the best of the two of the greatest sports in the world.

I just wish it was a real sport that i could play.

Hold on Ireland, get some early runs on the board and try and hold out.

they were obviously getting run off their feet towards the end but the skill still stood out.
