We all know what Beau is capable of when his is fit he is a great player and great for fantasy comps. He should have a decent enough discount next season to consider starting with next year.
2014 Fan Planner Price $377,100
If he gets a discount, I think he's a likely starter for me. Great player, consistent, proven... only downside of course is his durability.
Interesting to note his games played in the last 6 years: 19, 8, 21, 8, 19, 7 - due for 19+ games in 2014? :P
I love him! :P
Lay off him! He is mine, haha.

You're going to have to fight ele and LF, two massive Eagles and Beau fans. If I was you, I'd lay off before it gets nasty. :P

We live in the same state so :P
Plus you`ll be battling LE as well
Waters has always been one of my favourites too. I'll consider him next year.
Might as well turn this into the Beau Waters love/appreciation thread, LF. :P
Beauy! <3 Massive lock for me, great write-up LF.
Can't we all just sit back and admire Beau for what he is? A living legend. Come on guys, its what Beau.. I mean ahh, its what the messiah wants! Enough of this squabbling ;) plenty of Beau to go around haha
priced right i'll start with him, he's ok.... :P
Does anyone know what the number of games cutoff is for a price discount? Or does it vary?
In the Beams thread someone mentions that 7 games might not get him a discount which would then be the same Waters.
Fine we will share him then.. ;)
a) Proven premo scorer... tick
b) Price... tick
c) Durability.... cross
d) Eagles publicly state that they will focus on funding towards their doctors and physio department to ensure the best players are on the track all year... ignore point c)
Providing we again get 44 trades next season, point c would be irrelevant regardless imo!

19+ would be good , you think he would get a discount , lets hope its a good one to.
Two reasons why I'd start with him:
a) If he is dirt cheap
b) There are no other options down back

Not as much as I do vinny :P
I was going to say get a room.
Beau's injuries are the big worry for me and i dont think i will even be tempted by him

I tend to remember a early round last year when 4 premo backs went down at the same time... 44 trades didn't save us then

I tend to think we can all agree that that was an anomaly
Some good news on Beau, should be good to go for the preseason :)
QuoteWaters, 27, is understood to have been cleared for physical contact training when West Coast starts summer training on November 18, putting him more than a month ahead of schedule.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand he's back in my team
;D
If Beau is named R1 and stays fit if he D3 worthy?
I was hoping he would get more of a discount.
Won't be in my starting team at that price. Upgrade target if he doesn't get injured.
Another injury. Time to look elsewhere

QuoteIt could be career over for Beau Waters according to 6PR Perth with news filtering through that Beau Waters has suffered a serious shoulder injury that is more than likely to require surgery.
Simmo said nothing of career-ending on the news tonight.
what?
what I heard was that the pins in his shoulder got infected, so he needed to get them removed... because they werent in for the full length, apparently it's only 50/50 that the shoulder's healed enough to not require surgery.

A report said the pins and plates shattered
I'm just going off the AFL site, which generally doesn't talk as much shower as elsewhere :P
