Power surge continues, as the Cats suddenly look shakey..
My tip is Power by 5
i just feel it
I never thought we wouldve made it out the bottom 4 let alone a semi final. COME ON YOU POWER!!!! 8)
That being said, theres still a lot of players remaining from that unspeakable game in 2007 (Cassisi, Boak, Westhoff, Carlile, Gray just off the top of my head, Logan too I believe.) So for Hinkley to break that mindset would be absolutely incredible , even if they didnt win. We have the skills to match them, its about whether we mentally show up IMO.
As good as Port have been I can't see Geelong dropping out in straight sets.
Geelong by 7 goals
Finally, although the Hawks haven't, Port has and not it's time for payback! 119 will be erased as a new hot young team defeats a tired old Cats and redeem the 07 final!
Would like to see Power win, they deserve success.
But will Geelong lose two in a row?
Dont think so :-\
I genuinely believe the Power could get up.
So, Enright's now suspended for a match, challenging a reprimand :o :o :o

They only did it knowing he wasn't playing this week anyway and instead of the 90 odd points he now only has 25 carry over points.
No way Geelong go out in straight sets. Geelong by 8 goals!
I hope it's another tight finals contest but I have a feeling Geelong might blow them out of the water.

Oh, ok. Didn't know he was already out
yeah, hurt his ankle.
Bit of a flaw in the system really, basically means Enright is now better off after pleading quilty.

Yeah I was just thinking that, Geelong certainly used the system to their advantage.
The whole system will be overhauled for next year anyway ;)
The SA advertiser, had a piece from a supporter (Vi Lee), who said the games being played on the 13-9-13 this Friday. Added up, these numbers come to 35, , the number J Mac wore at our club. It's been a year on Monday just gone that the tragic day unfolded. I'm normally not a superstitious person, but we may have a 19th player. It's going to be a hard night, I respect Geelong big time, but I also respect Collingwood big time as well, so anything can happen
Geelong to win and then the Kennett curse to be broken.
Pleeeeaaaaseee! :-[
Its just a game, and on any given day either team can win.
Win or lose, Port have got my attention & won another fan. With players like Wines and Wingard they can only go up and up!!
Looking forward to a really BIG night watching the game Friday night. Go Power!
Geelong will be just as cocky as they were against Freo and we all know how that turned out, Win, Loose or Draw i couldn't be more happier with the boys. When a lot of people couldn't see where the improvement would come from our youngsters have excelled this year.
We have nothing to loose this final series and were going to continue playing our high risk high reward game plan, Geelong better not take this lightly.
2007 last time a team went out in straight sets, don't think it'll happen this year
Geelong in a canter after a tight first half
Kennett curse continues... but can they win the GF. Nope.

If Geelong get past Hawthorn, no reason to think they couldn't beat either Sydney or Freo (or *vomit* Carlton) at the MCG

This is what I'm hoping for. Freo match up better against the Cats and they would have played 3 finals in a row leading into the GF
Freo gotta get there first though
Geelong to win then the Kennet curse to continue! Here's hoping anyway.

Port set to name an unchanged line up for this weeks game
http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-09-12/no-changes-for-port
I want Port to get up, but I also want the Cats to get up so that they can beat the Hawks... Screw it, let's go Port!
Earlier I checked Sportsbet and Power was at $4.50 :o
Get some of that punters!
I hope this is a close game. Nothing worse than a finals game being over half way through the second quarter.
If anyone thinks Geelong are cocky, they are kidding themselves. They have been one of the greatest teams to play in the history of the game over 7 years now and wouldn't be challenging once again if they were cocky. Freo are a clinical side. They grind teams away and Simmonds stadium suits the way they play their football to a T. Although it was a great win, it didnt shock me.
Port are young, energetic and exciting. They take risks and run and carry. Them beating Collingwood at the MCG was a fantastic win but there is a major difference between Collingwood and Geelong. The cats are a defensive juggernaught. Players like Taylor, Mackie, Lonergan, Hunt, wont be getting sucked up the ground and leaving Monfries one out inside 50 or Wingard all by himself. They are to smart and defensive minded to let that happen.
Geelong are a champion team with too much pride to go out in straight sets.
57 point winning average for Geelong the last 5 games between these teams
I hope its closer for the sake of the game as a spectacle but I imagine the cats should win comfortably
Geelong by 40

Sooooooo Keen!
Was expecting Hawkins to be a late out.
Taylor Hunt as sub surprises somewhat. I thought he would go to Boak.
Geelong should bounce back but hopefully it's close.
Carn the Power!

Every time Port kick it in, they should play on to themselves and run around him. I think it was North a few weeks ago that used that tactic to great effect.

Would last about 2 kick ins and they would put someone else on the mark lol
Port very flat footed.
No live scores? There was last week
That's better.
Great result for Port so far. Not only avoided the early blowout, but in front.
Great start by Port, hopefully they keep it up.
Please stay close to 3/4 time Power
Can't believe how many easy marks Geelong have dropped :o
Why no live scores? Anyone know?
Good start to the game boys!
Cameron O'Shea 2014? ???
Nope and we not heard from mOnty in months
Since 119, 07
Cats Finals: Lots. Wins: 3 Premierships
Power Finals: 1. Wins: 1
So Port have a better finals record than the Cats since that grand final :P
Time for redemption!

The exact same thing happened to Collingwood last week, We push other teams to their limits and both Collingwood and now Geelong can't play their easy game of footy they are used too.
Flower, didnt get to trade Young either :(
Hope he comes on and kicks 5 somehow.
Keep this pressure on PORT!!!
Playing Sooooo amazingly well. Awesome to watch.
GO POWER!!
Keep going Cats ;D

Good quarter from the Hawk, and Geelong! Go the Cats.
Wingard completely shutout tonight so far.
Obviously the umps want to see a Geelong/Hawthorn match next week.
Harry Taylor looks pretty sore

Umpiring tonight a disgrace and if these 3 umpires make the Grand Final it stinks and not a fan of either side
Stevie J just got owned lol
Westhoff goal of the year.
Surely not Port
How could that be holding the ball BARTEL HAD IT!
Why did Hawkins go for that pass? Pretty stupid
Boring.. :P
Have your finals....
Go Freo...
LOL, Chappy looks like a brute, but sounds like a geek.
p.s. Cheer for you Noz ;)
Umpires were good last week but tonight was terrible from them.
Cats/Hawks next week should be another thriller.
Well done to Port on a great year.
Chappy looking likely to get rubbed out :-\
Chappy gonnneeee!!
Congrats Port, you're playing a quality brand of footy.
What's the difference between tonight's umpires and James Hird?
One blew the whistle as a cheat and the other had the whistle blown at him!
Well done to Port on the year. Not quite the fairy tale but still impressive

lame!
Go catters!
Played like crap in the first half but as we have been able to do for years now, a quick burst of brilliant footy and bang. Game over
Well done Port on your season you exceeded all expectations but a pity you had to play a team of 25 un the final. Obviously the AFL want a Hawthorn/Geelong final next week for monetary reasons cannot have too many non victorain teams in the final 4.
That was a great effort by Port! Been a crazy year for them, lots for Port fans to be excited about.
Huge amount of credit to Ken Hinkley.
