Was searching through the threads for some Supercoach finals stuff and found nothing so i have decided to start one here for anyone wanting any advice on their teams. I'll kick things off with my team which i just whipped up in 5mins:
Backs: Burgoyne, Ellis, Duigan
Mids: Pendlebury, Swan, Johnson, B.Kennedy
Rucs: Sandilands
Fwds: Motlop, Chapman, Rohan
The thing to note is that you have unlimited trades so you could essentially make a whole new team next week depending on which teams players verse. I've picked Burgoyne, because he is relatively cheap but is also in great form and really likes to play Syd. Duigan is just very cheap and should expect a 50+ from him this week (Can't quite afford D. Grimes) I went with BenKen over other options such as Menzel and co because i believe Collingwood will dominate Port which will see their Mids go nuts, hence the 3 collingwood mids. Sandi is SO cheap and should relish with no competition in the ruck against Gee. Motlop is still really cheap and just a month ago came off a 125 against Port at Simonds. So like i said these players i mentioned, might not feature in my team next week.
So thoughts?

Very different team to that of what I've seen! Really like it! Have you done some research on players like Grundy, Rivers and Bird? Are they in because they play well against their respective opponents? Like your whole team except for Selwood, last time Crowley kepted him to a 50, so the only change I would make is Jelwood to Johnson. Yeah your right! Could have a very average team but win if both you captains go 150+!
Not a lot of detailed research but based on last few match averages and fitting into salary cap. Will probably change a few times before now and Friday as well. First team I put together as well.

I really like it! I think Shaw is a little expensive for his potential output as i think there are many cheaper options out there that will most likely score the same. Sidey, Simpson and Seedsman are very tempting option. I also like Didak but can't fit him in.

I've gone Ellis (very inconsistant) to Yarran (been in great form and far cheaper) who i think should score roughly the same this week. I've also gone Motlop to Walker with the extra cash and i'd expect a 90 from Motlop, but a 110+ from Walker against richmond.

Yeah, but after Didak's performances, you couldn't drop him! his experience will also be a very big factor and that is why i think they'll drop a younger player first. Rohan has come off a 39 and 48, Dids a 86, 50 (sub) and an 80

Very different but could be very interesting as you only have one 'rookie priced' player! Your Pods in Yarran, Burgoyne, Guthrie, Lewis, Kennedy (assuming it JPK) Gunston and Waite could all easily be well worth their low prices! Gunston is a great pick IMO, averages 3 goals a game without Franklin! And could very easily go 100 plus! Out of those uniques i've had a close look at Yarran, Burgoyne, Guthrie, Lewis and Gunston.
Great unique team mate! Solid first effort.
EDIT! Gunston has played Sydney twice this yera for 2 scores of 102 and thats with Franklin! He averages 1.4 more goals a game without Franklin and the ball gets kicked to him 5.3 times a game without Franklin, rather than the 2.2 with him!

JPK's value for possessions has dropped the second half of the year. Only scored 101 against the Hawks last week despite 37 odd possessions.
Morris only has 2 scores above 80 for the year ???

Nice team mate!
Got quite a few nice PODs in Gibbs, Caddy and Edwards. Gibbs is coming of a great game and a score of 140 and usually plays alright against the Tigs so will probably be worth the extra coin, Caddy on the other hand has never really been a 'scorer' so i'd be wary of him. Edwards has been in hot form since finding his way into the team and should score well. I was too looking at Reid but with Brown uncertain as well as their defence really getting a hiding recently, i'm a little concerned they will throw him down back again.
Overall a great team! Well done!

I'd def go Lewis and then for me it would be either Hodge or Judd, but Judd has had a pretty poor year and Hodgy loves a tight fierce contest so would expect him to score well.

Mids: Pendles (c); S Johnson; Sewell. Menzell/Ellard (dependent on final cut)
Ruck: Mumford (Vc)
Fwds: Gunston, Robinson, Didak
Couple of matters Mumford destroyed Hawks Rucks last week scoring 159 SC points.
Gunston scores against Sydney this year both 102.
Apart from last week Grundy usually takes Roughead and has scored reasonably well against him.Sewell averaging 99 against Sydney in last 5 outings.
Rivers; Menzell/Ellard and Didak to meet Salary cap.
Know stats do not mean a lot but are the best guide. Could of taken a cheaper ruck but Mummies form hard to ignore and taking punt on him as VC.

I've gone Mumford as well at the moment. Bailey is back which should even up the hitouts a bit, but I still think Mumford will score well.
My other thought for the ruck is Matthew Lobbe now that Renouf has been dropped. Been scoring pretty well the back half of the season.

Cheers Typhnn. Only spot up for auction is the river site. Dylan Grimes will be a gun if he can stay on the park and for the price Yarran is ok. The highest scoring team for the round will definitely be the one that can nail the cap and vc positions, more especially if one is POD. Best of luck mate. ;)

I made a bigger mistake in making Jelwood captain vs Freo and choosing ROK after his recent form and making him VC. :(

I'm going ok so far I suppose, 544/6 C and VC to come. Sandi, Gunston, Hodge and Burgoyne did well. Lachie Neales 83 not bad as a POD. Just Rohan that's cost me so far.

Haha yep! Not going to write off my team just yet, but I'm not getting my hopes up either. Grundy, Seedy, Hendo, Jacko and Chappy to come. As with the first lot and I believe I said in an earlier post, it could be brilliant or dreadful. :-X

Having a shocker I am, 838 with Hendo, Jacko and Chappy left. Slaughtered by poor choices left, right and centre.
Bugger, ended up being away from my computer all weekend, had Rioli, Michael Johnson and Bennedy score me nice donuts along with underwhelming scores from Morris, DanHan and Rohan... 946, not a good start!
