Do Geelong rest players ?
I really don't want to think about that. :(
Geelong previously stated they would rest Bartel in Round 23. He did subsequently miss a game so I don't know if that plan has changed.
They wouldn't want to muck around too much. Even though it is only Brisbane, if they lost they would most likely head off to Freo for an away final.
I know they wouldn't do half a team but some players in there would be worthy of one.

Bartel,Johnson and Enright you'd think would be ok since the first 2 have had suspensions and Enright has had a rest already.
I'd be a litte worried about Jelwood tho he has been a machine since the byes and actually probably deserves a rest.
Geelong need to win to secure a top 2 spot. The last thing Gerlong want to do is play Freo at Paterson Stadium.

not sure hey. they lose that match and win the next one and they come up against hawks in the prelims. you would think they would be the team they would most want to play in the prelims.

Nonsense. Every team wants to finish in the top two because having a week off during finals is invaluable. Geelong do not want to go to Freo, even if it would set up a more favourable prelim.

If Jelwood is a geniune Brownlow chance then I can't see the Cats resting him.

They won't care about 1 player winning the brownlow compared to the club possibly winning another premiership

I just can't agree with you Holz. Most premiers have the week off and I can't see Geelong wanting to travel to Perth then come back and play an extra game. Also if they really want to play Hawthorn surely they'd prefer to face them in the GF and not a prelim.

I'd be fine with us winning and playing sydney at the G, the swans haven;t been in great form in the last couple of weeks.
You can't really trade players like bartel etc out simply because they may be rested, but it would be good to have decent cover. Have to wait and see I guess :-\
