Title: Time to go... Ablett?
Post by: essendon2 on August 25, 2013, 02:29:19 PM
He's been well below par for the past 4 weeks; he has only scored 120+ once since his bye. Yes, I am talking about Gary Ablett.

Currently on 31 DT at half time against a team he usually destroys. Next week he's got GWS, a team he's never scored well against.

Maybe Ablett --> Libba/Beams/Boyd should be on the cards for Round 23? ???

Since when did round 5 become mid-season?

Round 1 is the start, round 23 is the finish, so that makes anywhere in between mid season.

Ablett never scores well against GWS? 131, 106, 99 for an average of 112. Not good enough?

Unfortunately his price will be based on his average for the year, not the price he finishes on for the season :( There are some instances where this is probably a good thing for us, but overall it sucks :P

He'll stil be priced at an average of 110-115. Should still be cheaper than this year though :)

Ablett currently averaging (after today) 113.75 (hahahahah), which, using this year's initial magic number, equates to about 585k.

Now the real question is- who called that drop in average? Fallen below what I called hahaha.

Yeah I don't get why you're laughing? You didn't even listen to your own advice..

I believed you too, I didn't start with him.

Traded him in and he went 4 x 130's.

I dare you.

i did, bailed on him 2 weeks ago for Jobe
2 tons for Jobe compared to a 60odd and 70, makes me see and extra free 60 points

working on his next year price, should be around 550k, which is actually decent instead of the 600+k he would have been at 5 weeks ago

I cheered you purely because I wish I was as smart as you

haha, not genius though
i intended to trade him out for a week and then bring him in for TMitchell (or Stanton) this week, but DEF injuries stopped that
only made possible because i had the league bye, so went BE trading to improve the side

just lucky, rather than any skill involved

so back on topic... is anyone actually trading him out? I'm seriously considering it.

I seem to remember you talking up Stanton too, care to have that call rubbed in your big mouth  ;D

Stanton be flowering useless as well! Think I will keep Ablett as he is playing GWS. I'm sure there will be bigger things to worry about!

Search up Jukes' team "Goodfellas" and tell me where Stanton is...

You must have only just traded him in the last couple of rounds :P

Anyway I'm thinking Stanton out to a premo and benching Ablett as my emergency next week so long as Beams is back

Aww you broke up? I thought you two were best buddies for life? Surely dropping Ablett would have been the more logical choice from your perspective? You should back up your talk by trading Ablett out this week. I'm thinking some proof would be nice too  ;)

Call me crazy, but I think looking to trade him might be a good option. He looks like he might even be carrying an injury?? He still had 28 touches this weekend, he just didn't tackle (not a single one) and I dont see someone like gaz not putting in an effort to tackle
