Okay, so basically I have to write a 1000 word narrative for my Communication assignment. I have a basic idea of what I want to do - write a murder/crime story, but I wouldn't mind ideas/suggestions for it.
I'm just gonna need some names (for characters), locations and a way to die/kill somebody. Open to nearly anything, as long as it's not too extreme or stupid.
I would ideally like to have this done the end of the week, so I'll listen to suggestions up until there seems to be enough good ideas to form the base of it.
Once it's done, I'll post it here for people to read if they want.

Hahahaha good ol' Cluedo, I was thinking of drawing inspiration from it. :P
This is my kind of thing I'm right into real life crimes,crime tv shows/ movies,horror/thriller movies and Stephen King novels( he has many ways to kill people)
You could go with a serial killer type scenario were you could start the story with the discovery of the latest victim of the killer or with the serial killer actually killing their latest victim and work though it that way.

There's your basics like guns,knives or a random object like a rock or a bat or basically anything that is lying around that you can bash and beat someone with.
Then you get into creative ways such as serial killers do which can involve torture in many different ways,strangling,garrotting (similar to strangling) and some other ways you don't want to know.
Yeah, I figured this would be the best concept because I'm really into crime shows myself.
Love the idea, LF! It reminds me a little bit of how Criminal Minds does their episodes. I guess I could definitely try to write something like that.

Yeah I suppose it is like Criminal minds I love that show its my absolute favourite along with Cold Case
I'm actually watching Law and Order Criminal Intent atm before that was Law and Order SVU
Actually there another idea you could do a Cold Case type scenario without the flashbacks and awesome music lol
With only 1000 words I doubt that you're going to be able to go in to all that much detail unfortunately :(

Another suggestion which is something I wrote about in high school for one of my English exams.
You could do a story in the perspective of a member of a family(mine was one of the children) that is in witness protection ending the story with them being found and the main witness( mine was the father)being killed.

Yeah, I know. :( I'll ask my tutor guy if we can go over at all (was told for one subject last semester that we were not allowed over...).
Not much of a science guy, but from memory that's hydrogen peroxide? :o

That's a interesting spin on the average story, I wanna try and do it a little bit left field without being too unconventional and out there.

Haha yep, it would not be a pleasant way to die in my opinion ;)
set up a simple step by step plot where 2 or 3 people are all likely to be under suspicion......then out of left field the culprit makes one tiny mistake and is then caught out..the trick is in the twist... 8)
