Last roll of the dice for the Lions, and the Saints need to bounce back!

We'd have to beat the Cats at their home ground to have a chance at finals now  :-\
Hopefully the boys get the win in Staker's 150th though  :D

Thought I would post before I go to the game - A little worried about this game -  We have mot beaten the Saints since 2008 and seem to struggle against teams we are expected to beat (Melbourne and Dogs great examples).
If as reported McEvoy is out Berger should dominate the hit outs so it is up to Reddan and Rockliff to ensure we make the most of them. No Black and no Moloney and without them we have struggled in the clearances. Dal Santo, Steven, Montagna and Hayes sare all class players who will have to be watched.
Riewoldt and Hayes struggling with injury but reports are both will play.
For Stakers benefit lets hope we break the hoodoo against the Saints and record a win in his 150th.

Awesome, hopefully they can both play.

Also Lenny Hayes is a god, looks gone with a hamstring injury, comes back, plays on and gets up the next week

#AFLLionsSaints - Jack Newnes out. Replaced by Ahmed Saad. Subs: Rohan Bewick (BL) and Arryn Siposs (St K)

All McEvoy, Hayes and Riewoldt playing as well as late replacement Saad.

Docherty not the sub at last.

That means, Hanley, NRoo, Hayes and Big Boy are all expected to play

7 just turned it over to a highlight of Saad having a set shot for goal. God thosw Lions fans were ripping it into him. Brilliant kick to goal that though, that'll make them shut up. :P I've never seen Saad miss a set shot either, such an effective action.

For those watching the game, how is Roo playing? He is on 28 SC but 39 DT. I saw one of the passes into him was junk, but watching the other game I haven't seen any more then that.

Just back from the game and very scrappy game. Disposal effeciency was woefuk from both sides and if Brisbane is to threaten Richmond next week will need to lift 100%

Reason Saad was booed PB was that his kick was the result of another dubious free kick - Lions again on the wrong end of the free kick count 19 - 7 and I am getting sick of it as a Lions supporter - Frees not consistent Over the shoulder rather than holding the ball paid to one team but similar to Lions is paid Holding the ball.  I want consistencies for both sides,  Do not mind if it is there for both sides but when it so one sided it is outrageous especially when Saints got 4 goals from some of the dubious frees including Saads,

For Mat Ball did not seem to go where Roo was and he was well held by Patful as well. Roo goy a lot of his possessions up the ground as well and disposal to him was not good.

Did not see the Brown injury at all so trust it is not too serious but with an immediate sub could be.

A sign of the future Brisbane's back 6 for the second half was Clarke. Yeo, Harwood, Docherty, Adcock and Patful. With Maguire and Merrett playing forward.

For SC Rockliff was outstanding and surely this must say to Voss he needs to be played in the mid field. 39 possession game surely says something. Hanley wore protection on his hand but it did not appear to be inconvenienced by it at all.

Can not understand Staker only getting 42 SC points - 3 Goals and 4 matks and only 42 SC points robbed in his 150th game.

Ringo they said that they think it is a plantar fascia injury which means he could be done.

Also thanks for the Roo info, I have him in my draft team and brought him in last week for my regular SC team. As long as he didn't seem to be restricted in his movement I can deal with the 70 he scored tonight.

There did nopt appear to be any restriction in his movements at all - At one stage both he and Patfull were racing to a free a ball that was bombed long into the forward 50 if that helps.

Thanks for the information on Brown and it sounds serious.  Hope it is not the end to his career.

Thanks again, sounds good considering they expected him to miss this week.

He was hoping to go round again next season but I think it will depend on the extent of his injury and how long they expect him to miss. Hopefully it is not as serious as they were initially thinking

Browny damaged his plantar fascia. arch in his foot muscle. Paul Gallen did it in the nrl and missed around 5 matches
