Have to get my calfs massaged because I have heaps of knots in my muscles
Anybody know if its just a normal massage or should I just be able to go to the massage places that shopping centres have these days that are pretty cheap?
Sports massage?
Salt tablets?
Apparently deep tissue massages work
I dunno about your financial situation bro but I find the more you pay the better your massage will be to you in the long run. The best you can afford imo :)
the best thing that i have found is a hockey ball for any leg aliments
You can use use a golf ball or tennis ball as well but i found a golf ball too small and a tennis ball not hard enough
All you do is roll your leg over the ball putting all your weight on the ball
Yeah I used to tennis balls on my back so tabs advice is probably a good starting point!!
i also have and use one of these which are great for all over your body

i don't really know much about it but my calf muscles always feel tight asked the doctor he started poking/touching them said i have knots and need to get them massaged :o
@Ele yeah i cant afford to go to a real good one really just not sure if these massage places you see at shopping centers do deep tissue massages or what
Hot packs and hot baths help mate. Followed by a good stretch
Also if you go for a cycle it really helps. Less impact than going for a run

Swimming gets rid of any aches and knots you have I feel, always like to go for a swim the day after footy/cricket if I can.
Best to go to a proper sports massage person. I have had my fair share of tight muscles and injuries, despite only being a young'en :P. I have never been to one but I was told that the people in the shopping centres don't have any qualifications at all. Who knows, they might give good massages but better to go to a proper place.
When I need a massage I go to a person who massages the Power players. Very effective.

Yeh man I do the same. A ride or swim are perfect to get the blood pumping through your tight spots
Yeah swimming and riding are really good. Ice packs are best up to 48hrs of getting the injury, the sooner ice goes on the better, stops bleeding, swelling etc all the bad stuff. 48hrs onwards after the injury/tightness is when you should use heat like hot baths (with epsom salts helps) heat packs etc. They loosen and relax the muscles.
I've heard the ones in Thailand do a pretty thorough job.
The ones with the Happy endings? ;D
Hahaha JB ;D
