Wish I was at the game tonight, never miss this game  :'( Hopefully there is another this year (haven't checked fixture)...

This is also a preview of Round 13 carnage. Scot, Gibbs, God and Hep all in my backline, might trade someone like Laird next week or the week after.

Big big dt night for me, 6 players playing a 1/3 of the counted scores lol.

Watson, Goddard, Hibberd, Gibbs, Murphy, Robbinson.

Would love to be on 580+ after these boys, big ones would be even better from my PODs Hibberd and Robbo. The game should be a good one, looking forward to it! I reckon the blues will win by a couple of goals with yarran being influential as the sub. Very keen to get a look at daniher.

How was that not a goal to Garlett? :o. Can see how it may have been seen as not kicked, but on replays was clearly kicked across. Why was no video replay used? From what I hear it was because Essendon played on too fast, smart, but Blues were robbed a goal :-X. Coming from a Bombers supporter as well :P.

Nice to see Daniher doing alright in his first game, although getting outmuscled in some one on ones. Also happy to see Casboult doing well with his (contested) marking, always been his strong point! The Essendon defence for the first 15-20 mins of the quarter was top notch! Carlisle, Hooker, Baguley, Hibberd, Heppell, Myers, Fletcher, all doing a good job 8).

Garlett should have argued a bit, at least for the video review! But at that pace, I'll cut the Goal ump some slack due to him throwing it on the boot while falling from the mark :P.

Waite just dominated us that quarter :o.They took Carlisle off him and put Hooker on, still couldn't stop him. Reckon we should keep Carlisle on him though next half.

Commentators keep going on about how Simpson has turned into a "real" defender now. Does that mean possible DDP next season? :D. Would be quite handy if he was :P.

Can Malthouse not play Murph at full forward. He was been killing it in the middle but he spent 3 quarters of the second quarter forward. 12 touches in the first, sent to full forward in the second ::)

Waite killing it for my draft team. This is the reason he is my favourite player.

Dennis is doing the job on Hibberd with the forward tag, I was worried he was going to go to him

Cachia demolishing Watson, Curnow doing the job on Stanton.

Kommer improved his score a bit that quarter.

Killing us all! Tease us with 37 points in the first, I'll take 60 at half time, but should have been more.

nope, if that captain is not in the top 18 (AFTER his score is doubled), he's not counted
no VC, no nothing

edit: DT RULES
Set a Captain (and Vice Captain) as you normally would for double points. If your Captain's doubled score is NOT in your Best 18 scores, then their points will not count - you simply get your Best 18 scores only. Similarly, if your Captain's doubled-score is NOT in your Best 18 scores, you do NOT automatically receive double points from your Vice Captain - your Vice Captain only receives double points as per any other round, if your Captain does not play for any reason.

Yep just brought him in for Jones (via DPP) too! I was looking at all of the different options, and thought, Robbo seem's like a good option, hasn't scored below 83 in his last 5... and then he pulls out his worst score since round 1... nice! At this rate rate Jones will get his break even and smash out a 100 ;)

Carlton just stuffed their season.
Hawthorn, Sydney and Collingwood their next 3. If they loose all of those its curtains for the blues.

P.s How did Melksham only score 113 sc with Essendons last 2 goals. Won them the game!
Would be fair enough if his DT score was like 5 but it was 100 so he got stuff all for winning them the game

really happy that Hird trys to change things when they are not going our way switching Hurley and Carlisle was a master stroke

And how good was Carlisles mark at the end. Had a bit of "Leo Barry you star!!!" about it

I felt like this watching Carlton tonight. With under 2 minutes left, Essendon have just kicked a goal to hit the lead, you think you would put your captain and best clearance player along with Judd in the middle.....

Who gets the votes???
3. J. Waite
2. P. Ryder
1. J. Carlisle

Or murphy or Heppell or Gibbs? Or melksham 3 goals including the last 2

3- Carlisle
2- Waite
1- Heppell

However if Garlett's goal had been counted (which it should have IMO) making it a draw

3- Waite
2- Carlisle
1- Murphy

No reason to think it would have been a draw, maybe essendon would have won the next centre bounce?

Ryder wasn't dominating Kreuzer/Casboult though! Only picked it up in the last quarter really.

3 - J. Waite.
2 - D. Heppell.
1 - M. Murphy.

Those 3 were the guys who stood out to me all game really, Murphy had alot of it and Heppell probably our best player over the course of the match!

Yeah I'd agree with those 3, maybe give murph the 2 and heppell the 1.
