Title: North Melbourne v Adelaide, Round 9, 2013
Post by: ossie85 on May 23, 2013, 03:44:11 PM

Adelaide are starting to hit form, despite the loss of Texas Walker.

The Roos #1 ticket holder is Maxwell Smart, as they 'missed it by that much'.

I think it's going  to come down to the ability of GWS to shut down adelaides goal kicking mids. Our talls should be able to hold down mckernan/ jenkins, and our small backs their small forwards.

it's going to be won and loss in the midfield.
Except Adelaide is playing three talls ;)  With the secret weapon being Tommy Lynch!

I'll call it! No chance Zippy you got no chance of winning! 8)

So this week i'll say! North won't win!

Don't want to sound like a whinging adelaide fan but umpires have been rubbish. Not blaming them for us losing we are looking shocking.

Boomer kicked a goal this quarter which would help. Douglas killing it again this week. It is good to see his body holding up and him playing on the wing and pushing forward rather then as a pure half forward.

North are going on a run. Interesting the first two center bounces of the quarter Jacobs did not line up in the middle but then moved into the ruck around the ground.

A couple of those they have been leading like the Cats they were up by 42 points and Hawks they had the lead late, the West Coast game last week...

Great 4th quarter effort from everyone. Really wish I jumped on Kerridge a few weeks back instead of Thomas!

Douglas, Kerridge, Dangerfield, Talia, everyone did well. Credit to Mckernan for his second half effort.

2011 trade and draft, Lyons, Laird, Brown, Kerridge, JJ, Lynch all played, plus Brad to come back ;)

This was after! Neil Craig said it was the best young list he'd seen at the club :o

He has 50 more SC points than the nearest person, and SC I think has accurately predicted most of them this year

I was basing it purely on him basically saving the game for the Crows single-handedly. :P

Nominees:

R1: Wines, ranked 1st amongst elible players in SC score
R2: Mullett, ranked 1st
R3: Anderson, ranked 1st
R4: Horlin-Smith, ranked 2nd (behind Evans)
R5: O'Meara, ranked 1st
R6: Hill, ranked 6th (well, you gotta be an outlier sometimes)
R7: Vlastuin, ranked 2nd (behing Kerridge)
R8: Macrae, ranked 2nd (behind Lonergan)

So, not perfect, but pretty good
