'Bryce Gibbs says he expects to return for the round eight-clash with Port Adelaide at Etihad Stadium. ''It's a bit of a different one for me - my first soft-tissue injury of my career. It's a new experience,'' Gibbs said on Sunday.'
Now with him set to miss his second week in a row it looks like it was a good move to trade him out last week!
great, another week with no backline cover :(
well, at least it's only no cover (and i can hide him in the mids)
So, would be looking at getting him in R10 I guess.... good. I won't have cash next round or the round after
Glad I traded him but dunno when I will get him back in :-\

Yeah I'll probably try to get him back in R10. After 1 or 2 price falls most likely!
So glad I traded him!... to Hartlett. ::)

I did the same trade.. he made a nice 32! ::)
Bugger >:(
New something like that would happen, probably not worth trading now though... Will have to hope the rest of my backs are selected/fit and none pull out late :-X

+1 ... nearly went Waters so could have been worse
Didn't trade him out. If Heppell plays this week I will have cover.

+4 I think this was a pretty popular trade last week.
I'm still glad I held him, my three options were Birchall, Hartlett and Waters. Vlastuin beat all of them (who i traded Goodes down to).
Against the grain here decided not to trade Gibbs to Hartlett,Waters or Birchall went to Hibberd instead.

I also traded in Hibberd last week for Goodes :) Was one of the BOG against GWS and made some cash. Looks like a good move so far!
Traded him to Scotland, pretty content at the moment

I just should've played it safe and got Scotland, always a solid pick but maybe not the 100 average that we're used to, more 90 - which should just sneak into the top 6 defenders. But Grimes, Waters, and obviously Gibbs & Heppell have already picked up injuries compared to Scotland who's super-durable.
Hopefully someone comes back... even Pittard maybe? pleeeeeeeease :(
Glad I got rid of him but killing me in AXVs

haha good work mate. If Essendon keeps this up (which they should) Hibberd should easily average high 80's or even possibly low 90's. Overall a smart trade and you can upgrade a rookie to a fallen Birchall as well. It's a win/win
is it crazy trading him out to vlastluin on the bubble? then getting him in after his price fall?
No, its not crazy. It's called 'playing the stock market' and its a key part of the game this year ;)

Even if Gibbs is out again, I would trade one of the Port defenders before him. Gibbs definitely back next week and you've already held him this far.
Held him for one. Now hold him for another?

Yes, if Pittard isn't named this week ditch him instead otherwise Dwyer needs to go.

I would (so long as you aren't copping a donut). Well, that's what I'm doing :)
Think it might be harder than some people expect to get him back into their sides quickly, especially if he has a good first game back or if there is other carnage to deal with :-X
Apparently he will play this week!

Great news - Bryce Gibbs had declared himself fit to take on Port Adelaide this week, it's fair to say we are expecting him to play this round.

Carlton have St Kilda, but how can you declare yourself fit for Port Adelaide but not St Kilda on Monday?
Oh showere.. Didn't realise that. Does that mean he's saying that he'll be fit for next round? Or he's 100% fit for next round, and might be fit for this week?
Yeh I took it as she is saying that he has declared himself fit for next week against Port but they are expecting him to be right for Saints on Monday
Hopefully he is fit enough to play a green vested half to ease him back

Yeah that makes sense. Kind of liek:
"He has declared himself definitely fit for next week, so we're hoping/assuming that he will pass a fitness test later in the week."
Hope he plays.
Rest up Gibbsy, its only the Saints ;)

+1 for both of those comments. Have a bad feeling Saunders will be dropped but his 40 odd points last week got me the win i needed.
He's out again, unlucky to those who kept him. Should bounce back hard after a couple of weeks off!
Gotta keep him now, most people will have either Cotchin or Stanton out so i'm not too concerned about having him on the pine another week.
