Cape Town Cobras v Dublin Destroyers Newlands Cricket Ground
Tokyo Samurai v Paris Nice Lyon Reindeers National Olympic Stadium, Tokyo
Beijing Bears v New York Revolution Beijing Olympic Park
Cairo Sands v Mexico City Suns Borg El Arab Stadium, Alexandria, Egypt
New Delhi Tigers v Pacific Islanders Wipro Stadium, Nagpur
Seoul Magpies v Sao Paulo Pumas Seoul World Cup Stadium
London Royals v Buenos Aires Armadillos Emierites
Berlin Brewers v Wellington Warriors Olympic Stadium, Berlin
Moscow Spetsnaz v Toronto Wolves Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow
Highlights:
Top 4 fancy Cape Town face off against the much improved Dublin - a danger game for the Cobras, and a chance to prove themselves and gain respect for the 2012 Spooners. You know what? I'm gonna tip an upset to Dublin.
Tokyo and PNL are struggling to get on the board this year, and both need this match - Tokyo to keep any hope of finals alive, and PNL to prove they have a team that can occasionally, you know, win. Samurai just.
New York are in a slump and find themselves slightly behind the pack after a brilliant first 4 rounds of the year. A loss to Beiijng would be absolutely devastating, but that's on the cards if the Bears continue to improve. New York by 20.
We are all hoping the Suns fall over themselves at some point. I'm not sure this will be the week as Cairo have been inconsistent this year and are still missing gun recruit Dayne Beams. Suns should coast home here.
This is one of the few genuine chances for victory for both New Delhi and Pacific! Both still very much in calculation for the spoon, Leigh Montagna and Tom Rockliff hold the key in this match.
Can Seoul find some form this year? They are playing like also-rans this year and haven't made a name for themselves. Sao Paulo, on the other hand, can't afford to drop this match if they are to finish top 2. Pumas too strong.
The Royals will need there midfield guns to fire to have any chance against the Armadillos jugger-naught. A loss here for Buenos Aires and suddenly top 4 doesn't look so certain! Buenos Aires should still be too strong.
Berlin simply must win against the Warriors. Non negotiable. But Wellington will fancy themselves a chance! Brewers have too much depth though.
The Wolves and Spetsnaz both fell in Semi Finals last year, this is an 8 point match in every sense! Both teams are well in contention, and could even push for a top 4 spot if things fall there way. Pendlebury. Naitanui. Swallow. Martin. Big names, big game.

I thought I was helping the cobras with their push to premisership glory giving them thomas and chaplin. Chaplin has been a flop at richmond so thats annoying and daisy was looking real good and now bascially gone for the season. Sorry cape town.

Giles is out of the team and out of the emergencies after his last effort. Hasn't topped 90 in a month...Not really good enough.
Macrae gets a shot at getting a shot after his effort last week. More performances like that and he'll get a starting role soon.
Team is out of sorts at the moment, really need to get back on the winners list this week.

Alright, so it's bad enough we're having a hard time getting into the 8, then we get three injuries in our weakest line which also has the showertest depth, and on top of all that we're taking on Mexico City this round. Couldn't get much worse...
Oh and just checked the teams, if Petrenko doesn't make the Crows 22 on Sunday we're gonna have a 3 man forward line and an emergency playing OOP. :'(

Yeah lucky, but I'm scraping the barrel at the moment. Down to just the 5 playing forwards at the moment, so really need Whitecross back from injury. But next season I should hopefully have some more up there considering Sloane, Masten, Zaharakis, Duncan all spend plenty of time up forward during their games...
If you ask nicely HP I may be willing to trade you one of my many rucks come end of season. Although the last one you took from me (not directly) hasn't worked out all that well for you... :-\

The Islanders getting ready for a win this week! Look out world! ;D
So Petrenko has been named for the Crows after all with Wright being the one to make way. :o
Still, he's not getting a run for the firsts, he can help Alexandria keep their undefeated streak alive instead. :P

Mummy needs to step up.
I let nrich decide the team without any influence whatsoever in regards to his decisions.
There was one thing I was thinking about making a rule was:
Don't captain Swan and was thinking about saying captain Johnson or similar. Now regretting the fact I didn't say I thought Swan might be a bad captain choice.
Not nrich's fault at all as he selected the best team possible and just kept our normal captain. But Swan against the Swans and his poor recent form was scary.
No captain Swan next week. Captain Stevie J! Hopefully still strong enough to beat London

Dan Hannebery London Royals 102.75
Harry O'Brien London Royals 89.00
Ben Reid London Royals 83.00
Scores Last Night

Hannebery - 113, less than average (but take out last week's shocker and is about right)

Well, you have Kreuz in the ruck and Brogan on your interchange bench, so Yeo who is named as you first emergency will come on and you'll get his score.

Yep. I believe so. If you named Brogan in the ruck and Yeo had to replace him there then only would his score have been halved since it would have been OOP.

1028 from 12, captain not played. Fyfe (c), Frawley and Adams yet to play, would hope for 400 from them.
Why can't all of my players do good one week :'( instead have a wide mix of guns (148, 136, 125) and spuds (50, 58, 42).

Armitage as a late withdrawal isn't ideal, but here's to hoping Matt Jones can score decently in Davey's place. :)
Also hoping Newy is the lowest scoring player in the team, if so, the OOP penalty gets cancelled out and the HGA brings his score back to his original 123. ;D

Jake King puts in a ripe old shocker, but I knew he was due: I knew he wasn't a star fantasy player, and he has been scoring well lately, so I forgive him.
Good to see Lucas get a ton! Think this kid can only get better, and he better have, since I almost delisted him last year :P
Jackson gets is every-now-and-then blinder, and Hibberd in my eyes has become one of the best fantasy defenders in the comp.

Captain Stanton with a great return to form to offset the loss incurred with Broadbent as sub. Only 3 players exceeding the ton so far in a disappointing performance from support players.
Will it be enough to get over the Armadillos 814/8
238 points + Brent Reilly, David Mackay, Chris Mayne and Dannyle Pearce v Shaun Burgoyne, Jarred Brennan, SD Thompson, Micheal Barlow, Drew Petrie, Kane Cornes and Jordie McKenzie. Will be tight I think
Could be very close here against Jukes!
Fyfe x2, Frawley, Adams + 168 + HGA vs Swallow, Shaw, Ziebell, Cunnington, Johnson, MacMillan

Really thought Pacific would finish in front of Wellington, Beijing and NDT this year. How can we beat Tokyo but lose to the spud teams? Expect some big trading by JayBag this off-season #believeinpacific
Can't wait for the Beijing-Pacific clash - the battle for Aish? :P
But yeah can't wait to trade already, it is ridiculous how many defenders we have vs how many forwards - only three playing fwds this week :-\

Speechless. To think we would have won if Newy was in defense and Petrenko played forward.
Regret. It cuts deep. Oh so very deep.
Even Alexandria failed. I don't even...
:o :'(
You're speechless?
7 bloody points...
At least North won
Oh wait...

A meh sort of performance, is really what I consider/want to be the par score for my team. If I got this score in my bad weeks, I wouldn't mind too much.
Wow at Cairo... so unlucky, Toronto too. When I saw you first list Newman OOP instead of Petrenko, I thought it was fair enough too! This is exactly why I don't take the Captaincy off Franklin, coz I know as soon as I do it, he'll go nuts.
Fantasy football is a cruel game.
Super close match but Moscow come out ontop.....just. Great match rb.
Yeah, I don't like this whole fantasy football thing. Why do I do it? ???
Highest score of the round :)
Had Hodge (75) captain, and missed out on Goodes (169) and Vince (122).
Reserves scored 191!!
Plenty of depth at Mexico, with Goodes guaranteeing a game for next round.
Looking forward to the returns of Chapman, Carrazzo and Cross. We might struggle next few weeks....
With Brennan potentially out for a while? And Gilbert on the sidelines idk how we'll fair. We have too many key players out right now for my liking.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Islanders!!
I'm not even involved in Worlds, i just came to laugh at Jayman and tbag for losing to the NDT. :P

Tokyo get a much needed win! The Reindeers still in trouble
Tokyo Samurai (20.19.139) defeated PNL Reindeers (19.8.122)
Best
Tokyo: C Judd, S Motlop, L Shuey, S Mitchell
PNL: M Priddis, K Simpson, L Ball
Reserves
Yuzawa Typhoon (5.4.34) lost to Marseille Kings (7.10.52)
Best
Yuzawa: S Ross
Marseille: M Thomas
We really need our injured players back :'(. We're 3rd last with just one win ::). We got depth in mids/defence playing, but lack of forwards/rucks is hurting as shown.
Ball scored well in his first game, albeit OOP :D. Westhoff slowly getting back to scoring form... Was gonna put up the scores but once again Ossie beats me :P. Yesterday watched the match with friends at home, today went to Suns game 8). So busy when you chuck in last minute assignments :P.
